Too late to cancel the "yes". If i understand well what is said in the posts before my previous one , the "project" is yet in it's way so if it's the case they will not stop it.

 

 

Honestly I would prefer to have more options for clothes or even for people to be able to create clothing constantly and put it out there for those of us who want it... mainly because you dont have anything that fits my style, and I prefer things close to how I am IRL, but cannot make an outfit like that... oh well, close enough I guess, though I will probably never use this "Pose Editor" but it is better than nothing...

A clothing editor would have been better, at least men would have be able to have better clothing options.

It is considerably easier to make poses (animations) than clothes.  Far more people will be able to make use of a pose editor than a clothing one.  If gizmo is planning to eventually make both kinds of editors, I feel that he's doing them in the right order.

I think something like Marvelous Designer would be possible for most people to master. Its made for the fashion industry and lets people design cloths and see what they would fit like.

I agree that, with the right tools, clothing design will be accessible to a large number of players.  I just feel that posing and animating is easier and will be accessible to a larger number of players.  My evidence for this is that the number of people who pose in Daz3D and Poser is considerably higher than the number of people who make clothes for Daz3D models.  This is despite the fact that clothes makers can sell their virtual clothes for real money and that the people who pose their characters spend a lot of money to buy those clothes.  If it were easier to make clothes than poses, then the financials of that situation would be reversed.  People would make their own clothes but pay people for poses.  There ARE poses sold, but it's a small amount compared to clothes, and they're much cheaper.  All of the artists I've worked with do their own posing, but buy clothes and models.

That's rather kewl. Looks easier than Blender.

 

If they made a clothing editor, I'd think the one in use for 4 years now in Curio (which is also Unity 5) is a good comparison and something to consider..

 

The 'Clothing Editor' there isn't a mesh creator to create meshes like it seems the above is (which is really kewl if we could actually create meshes), but more just a texturing, skinning creator.  You pick from different clothes the Devs have added and you add textures to them. 

 

For those who don't know what I mean, it can be as simple as just uploading a texture from your computer and slapping it on the mesh, or it can become far more complicated which leads to VERY good clothing.

 

Example: Say the men's T-shirt we have already could be edited. Well, we kinda already ahve an editor. We can add different colors to it right? But say you could upload a texture like.this..

 

 

 

 

With a click of a button - you get this.

 

So a clothing editor can be very simple.

 

On the other hand, if you want the REALLY good stuff,  For example....

 

 

 

We are going to need clothing meshes like this from the Dev's added to our clothing editor, and the more powerful things in a clothing editor to do transparencies, shine, metallic, bump maps etc.

 

They could make an editor that is easy and advanced which my friends would be the best fo both worlds.

 

Custom Avatar skins could be made and no more kissing cousins looks.

I do daz3d my self and a bit of clithing edits within a mesh editor (wich right now i forgot the name of) it can be easy but it can also be darn hard. But shall we stick to the post yes or not to a pose editor?

 

The only reason this would be good is for taking pictures.

 

In the pose editor as i've understood it it would only be poses and not animated.

 

So we we do deviat from the original post something close to this would be a pose animation editor.

 

3dxchat uses 3dmax.

 

So instead of ppl wining about wanting more poses how about looking in to 3dmax and ask if you can help out the devs in making those poses.

 

If every body that wants more poses then help and contribute.

 

We can have a game soon thats been outdated for years to an update one where everyone can drewl.

First of all, we ALLWAYS can say that it is enough or if the partner goes to far.

Even in a rape RP. You PLAY that you getting raped. You all the time can just click "Stop Sex". At any time you can.

 

Now why do we love it... or why I love it:

The feeling, my partner has the full controll over me and my body... my mind everything belongs to him/her... it can't be really described. If you test it, there are just two options. You like it or not.

It erouses me getting hit on... slapped on my ass.. tied up... just getting abused. It makes me more wet than anything else because I know, my partner will never do something, that I really don't like.

Before I start a BDSM RP I always tell my partner, that I don't want him to pee or poo on me and I want to survive it. It is sooo important to stick the rules before it starts.

I only had two times a rape RP and both times I enjoyed it because I knew I can always say "no that's enough" and my partner accepts it.

 

So just because some poeple don't like it, doesn't mean that we as the bdsm community aren't allowed to get them. You just don't have to use them, period.

It all boils down to the question whether the game should prevent us from pursuing some of our fantasies or not.

Even if announcing 'rape rooms' is forbidden, would this prevent players to RP a rape ? Of course not.

I think Heden made a good point earlier - nobody has to enter a rape RP room. Finding yourself in a situation that doesn't feel right ? 'Stop sex' or leaving the room is just one click away.

So finding yourself in a rape situation in here happens by choice - very different to RL ....

 

Who are we to judge other people's fantasies and desires ? There's a lot of things available in here that don't turn me on much, but would I want others to stop doing things I don't like ?

I know that e.g. rape is illegal in almost all countries, but prostitution and homosexuality are illegal in many countries, too ...

Why is it that people insist on coming in these forums and trying to excuse things that should not be excused.

Yes it is a sex game, but that does not make it that anything goes, it is not a porn game.

Sex itself does not allow for anything goes so why do people think that in a sex game it should.

In a previous thread where the rape rooms were discussed it was pointed out very clearly that almost all people in the game would not want to see child abuse rooms.

So why is it that people seem to want to say that rape rooms are ok, because it is adults it happens to? it is still abuse.

What really upsets me is to see that so many people go in these rooms, it shows just how many people in the game have a fantasy/desire to commit rape, even if they will likely never act on that it sickens me that it shows so many have that fantasy/desire.

I am so sick of reading where people are using that bs about most women have fantasies of being raped as an excuse for these rooms.

Even if it is true that they have fantasies of ACTUAL rape, which it is not, that does not justify people having fantasies of committing rape.

One of the hardest things for a women that has been raped by a man to get past is not looking at every man as a possible rapist.

Seeing so many people want to allow this and excuse this is putting me back into a mind frame I do not want to go back to.

The person that uses the rape can move quick where the other person doesnt even see the bar move slower or quicker.for them it could just be casual sex where the person beeing "raped" could also just think the he or she is the dominant type and likes it but only remains suprised of the so called rape feat.

Well first of all, I never said that I am fine with rape rooms. I just don't care or better said... I don't make a huge drama out of it.

What I said was, that anyone can play here as they want. We have no right to tell everyone in here, how to play.

 

And for the poses. I never said we should bring in rape poses. I said we need more bdsm poses and that is a fact.

Just because some people, or maybe even you, don't like bdsm, it doesn't mean, that we have to deal with the huge lack of poses.

Still we have only ONE bdsm pose what is not even good.

 

Tbh my two rape rps weren't really rape rps. Just harder bdsm rp while I tried to resist.

Why do some people find it so hard to recognise that rape is perhaps the worst thing that can happen to someone short of murder? Anything that trivialises or normalises it is totally unacceptable. That is why the rape rooms contravene Terms of Service. What people get up to in private is up to them, making it public is not on. So if rape, and the few other offensive past times, are contrary to TOS why is there a need for poses.

 

BDSM is concensual with predefined limits so is very, very different.

 

For me poses are a more of a hindrance than a help. When it happens for me it happens with words and imagination.

I have nothing against BDSM, and I was not speaking of what you said in particular, more so what I had read when I went back through the thread to around the 1st of the month.

As I tried to point out before, what bothers me is looking at the room list and seeing these rooms listed with so many people in them.

I know these people are going to do what they want even if the rooms are not there, but having to see these rooms in the list is what I am talking about.

I most definitely do not like seeing that there are people that have these fantasies, I really do not want to be reminded every time I look at the room list just how many do.

Yeah, Jason, the possibilities are enormous, if people chose to use the tools sensibly. The problem is that there are some people who will use the tools in a way that is unacceptable. While the basic idea is nice I don’t think anybody wants to make it easy for people to bully and abuse.

I've not made up my mind yet. My reason for not doing so it that we have recently seen a spate of dodgy rooms, not just rape rooms. There are people round here who are in to that sort of stuff, they know it is against ToS, the moderators act against them but they still turn up often enough to be a problem. I don't think anybody playing the game wants to see these things whenever they are looking for somewhere to go. The people who are in to that sort of stuff will rub their hands with glee if they get a chance to indulge themselves in a different way. Just to know that there are people lurking in the background who are in to this stuff is enough to make people feel less secure about playing the game.

 

Other threads have highlighted that the sense of trust that was prevalent when I first joined has largely disappeared, people tend to stick with their own groups of friends much more. People don't befriend newbies so readily as they used. If the people who have been opening these dodgy rooms have a facility to make poses to go with them .......................... well I really don't think it is going to help people get to know each other.

 

I guess this is easy for me to say, because the visual thing is not such a big turn on for me. There are other, better, ways of generating those feelings of being close to other people. It is the person I respond to, not the pixels on the screen. I could say this is a fragile thing and the thought that someone might offer a pose that doesn't do it for me can be a big turn off. I don't need to explain the effect of someone offering a pose that is based on something highly distressing like rape.

 

So I guess I'm saying it's better to err on the side of caution, given recent threads and the recent spate of dodgy rooms.

it is not neccesary to restrict any poses. they can be downloaded and shared just like the lego rooms.

the solution is only the partners or group chat participans can see the pose they are doing, other players just see they are slowdancing or something similar.

problem solved.

ps: i think bdsm is only used by mentally ill people. just for trolling.
