Recently I had some talks with a few people. And independently of each other, all these people kind of had the same issues, in a way. Namely a bit of a sense of, I'd almost call it entitlement. I'll keep the details vague, but essentially the issues boiled down to them having a friend, who has their own life, and stuff they do in 3DX. Yet the people that talk to me, are disappointed that this other person is never available to do things with them. So their argument is this; 'They're my friend, and it upsets me that they are spending time with Those Others' My argument to them was this though. They don't owe you anything, and furthermore, how would you feel if they complained about -you- not being around when They want you to? I could argue they're going with the 'Other' person, -because- You are not around when they need you. In many cases, the reply to the above was a indignant 'That's different!' But is it really? I'd say some people don't want friends, they want a sure thing to entertain them when They want to. How dare their friends have 'lives' hmm? Anyhow, just a random ramble. Stay safe out there!

#1 After a "Grand Opening", you will never ever see the respective location being opened again. #2 Only exception from rule #1 is when there are additional "Grand Openings" for the same location. The same goes for the terms "Teen", "BBC", "Dom" and "DJ". For example, "DJTeenslut" is therefore neither Teen nor Slut and least of all DJ. #8 In 3dx a blowjob lasts 2 hours and eternal love lasts 2 weeks. This is called the 3dx time distortion. #9 The law of inverse sexual proportionality says: The more terms like "gangbang", "fuck", "orgy" appear in a room name, the lower the probability that there are gangbangs, orgies or sex at all. This rule can be combined with the Capital-letters-assumption: The more capital letters in a room name, the less the chances for some sexual fun. #10 A derivation of the axiom of 3dx time distortion combined with Bob's assumption (#11) leads to the rule of semantic ambiguity. It states that the expressions I will do immediately.... I will always...." (love you / hate you / fuck you / ...) I will never...." (leave you / betray you / fuck he,she, it again / ... ) I will be back soon... usually have these true meanings: ...withing the next 3 days, if at all ...at least for the next 3 days ...at least not in the next 3 days ...within the next 3 days, if at all.. #11 Bob's assumption: Meet, fuck, fall in love, swear oath of undying love and loyalty, marry, betrayal, drama and breakup are more a thing of 3 days than 2 weeks. tbc

DJs who prepare amazing sets, dance groups who practice their unique choreographies, builders who get the last out of the world editor, people who organize and host RP groups or orgies or parties or whatever events, people who create movies or comics or stories or magazines, people who provide community discords, websites, tools.... All these people keep the game running and are responsible for a large part of the fun we all have in here. And they deserve attention and support and respect. And then there are the others. I like to call them attention whores. People who e.g. download full DJ sets from Youtube, press play and pretend to be "real" DJs people who create whole dance groups of fake accounts only with the sole purpose to raise the visitor number of their locations people who download several locations, glue them together and pretend to be "builder" people who organize pitty parties and use their fake cancer or fake-whatever-illness to fill a location people who found childish hacker gangs and try to destroy the fun of all others people who are groupies and "very close friends" of childish hacker gangs in order to get attention and respect just to name some of the most disgusting attention whore types. And all these people deserve nothing. Perhaps contempt. Some of them a ban ofc. And that we call it what it is: BULLSHIT! People keep telling me that I should just ignore these people. But I cannot. And I will not. Because if I accept their bullshit, then I dishonour the contributions of all the honest creators of "stuff". And I would also get an ulcerated stomach. So I stick to my policy. I will not support such people. I will not be friend of such people. No bullshit! Just a little preview on what I'm working on It's far from done, so will take a little while still!

This post is meant to start a discussion and suggestion thread for those of us who spent the majority of our time building worlds (and objects). I realize there have been quite a few different suggestion threads for the game itself, but I would like for this one to be restricted to suggestions regarding the World Editor. To wit, here are mine (not in any prioritized order): Source of music (radio) and/or pre-cached sound effects (e.g. sound of running water, hissing steam, traffic noise, generic sounds of crowd voices, etc.) implemented as an object along the lines of how 360° light sources work. The idea would be that instead of being able to change its color, you'd be able to choose the source of the sound/or music, and scale a spherical object to adjust the limit between where the sound/music can be heard in the world and where it cannot. Ideally there would be context menu for this control, with the possibility of adjusting the drop-off and strength of the sound via a graph/curvature tool (see attached mockup). For larger rooms, the possibility of synchronizing certain sound sources with one another would probably be quite useful. Having light sources respect the collision boxes of object with non-translucent materials, so that light in one room is not rendered in the next. I've noticed that light from the moon/sun cast shadows that respect this fairly well, but other light sources seem to disregard it entirely. This might be a rendering issue on my end (I'm not sure). This is probably something I miss the most in this editor; the ability to lock an object or a group of objects. Locked meaning that left-clicking on them will no trigger a selection of said object(s). This would be tremendously beneficial in my building process, but would like require a listed overview of the object within the .world file with options to lock and unlock the objects or groups. Thoughts? Let me know if you could see the benefits having my suggestions implemented (fingers crossed). Better yet, bring on your own suggestions. If we can get something resembling a consensus going, maybe we should make a poll of priorities. That way, the devs would have a handy way of seeing which features are missed the most by the userbase. /tata

Can you at least change default room to improved rooms. there are so many creators who creating beautiful rooms. you can also integrate them all in one default room like city where players can find clubs, beach, apartments, park and some other areas for party, hangout and sex. or Defaults rooms are very old with bad lighting. game seriously need better improved default room. i have seen one player has created city life room here. even if you make default room like would be awesome too.

I would love to have Bezier curves and the possibility to import jpeg or png pics. One of the official club rooms has a picture at its entrance. And an in-game-text editor that uses all your Windows fonts. That would make creating logos so much easier... And while we are on it: how about "negative objects" that create holes in other objects. Like a negative cube would create a window in a wall.

The Americans celebrate Thanksgiving today I believe. While the roots of the holiday might be darker then some acknowledge, the spirit of giving thanks is a noble one. In these dark times we have much to be thankful for. Be grateful for those stepping up and doing their part. Be it medical workers or delivery people, retail staff and all those that cannot stay home. Be grateful for those that Can stay home and do so. Isolation is hard for some, but they do it anyway. Be grateful for those that simply do what needs to be done. Be grateful towards yourself too. You got this. We’re getting through this. Just remember, wash your hands. Wear a mask. The past 24 hours have been eye opening to me, regarding this topic. Last night found me room hopping to check out all these awesome rooms being created. Along the way, a woman I haven't met initiated a hello in Local. She poofed before I could respond. Nice feature to click a name in the chat window to get to their profile. Her profile was well written and could tell she could be a fun person to hang out with, so I messaged her back. We agreed to meet at Sin, and we did. A lovely person, and I thanked her for saying hello. She said she did because she found my profile interesting as well, but she was reluctant to hang out with a married guy, even if it is 'open'. Why talk with a guy who may end up leaving in the middle of a conversation because his wife shows up was her point. Although not my style I could respect that view. We bid our kind adieus. Fast forward to today. I hopped on during my lunch late, hoping to catch a moment with my bride as we had spoken earlier. Talk on the boards regarding the default rooms had piqued my curiousity, I visited the yacht. Wish Pearl is the name. A small crowd was there. On the top deck there was a gentleman enjoying the company of my wife. As much as I know this could happen, can happen, and I should have been okay with it, I still felt conflicted in that moment. I left. We did chat briefly after that, since it was late night now for her. But I could sense some awkwardness where there shouldn't be any. So, although this trip has been worthwhile, I can see that this marriage label comes with expectations. Both seen and unseen, from others and from an openminded (or so I thought) myself. Its sort of ironic. I came into this game with expectations, and my experience was by and large frustrating. When I dropped those expectations and just approached the place freely, it has been a nonstop blast. Now I haven't changed, but a label on my profile introduced expectations. Guess it is time for a talk, and working on removing that label? Stay tuned!
