No, the to update was removed from their page when they failed to deliver on what they were promising. Now they do as they please as they have no obligation to do anything but make sure you are able to log in. 

Its like the three stooges only there is two of them...we found bugs in the test server designed to find bugs, so the update will be delayed  because we don't want to add any more bugs to the countless amount we already have in game.

 

And so the cycle continues...….

If there are bugs in the update, then they have two choices:

1) Delay the update and fix the bugs.

2) Release the update with the bugs.

 

I heartily endorse choice #1.  I don't know why anyone would push for #2.

I never see the update on anything but this thread from Gizmo himself stating a general timeframe then the delay.  I've been keeping my eyes on the website and I log in daily to the game and no where else has it been shown.

If we don't like the game is or how things go with it, we have a choice to continue to pay and play or walk the fuck away.

Walk away? I have been here 3.5 years, It would be rude to walk away on this place and I tell you why..... Imagine yourself a loyal and regular customer at a shop for years after years and you see errors and faults that if fixed it can make you happy and everyone can benefit from that shop... So will you voice it and speak up to the owner or will you just walk away? If you would walk away then you are selfish cuz its required for everyone of us to state the faults and errors that we see in our communities.. so complaining is not an option, its a must and on the level of our love to this game and the people behind it and the people in it we stick around and hang on and complain because we love to see this game flourish and advance more and more. What is keeping this game running is loyalty and moral despite of the money we spend on here because we choose to spend it and no one is forcing us but do you see anyone quitting? I do take breaks and wait on the game to advance to pay and play again and so does the most of us.

 

I agree with most people on here that the devs are lazy and I agree with the other dozen people that say that we should not complain and we should fuck off if we didnt like it...... but as long as it could be updated we (the nagging party) will stay and support gizmo and 3dx with nagging and crying and nagging and crying and complaining cuz that is the only thing we can do with no open source program to allow creative members to do any user-created content and no pose and clothes editor to allow people to trade content...... this forum is the voice of the people (I sound like Vendetta XD ) and if there were no complains then this forum would be a haunted house.

JJ, I've been here a long time as well, even with a break, not much changed since I'd come back.  It's not required for use to state out opinion it's out choice to voice it or not.  I thought there would have been more.  I said that because we have a choice even with time invested into the game you can walk away.  Trust me I don't get offended that easily and nothing is personal not even in my comments unless I'm being attacked as I had been before and those know who they are and know I won't take any shit from anyone.  I never said not to complain it's what people complain about like the update not getting released yet.  So if they did and people had more issues and takes more time to sort it out then top wait find as much as possible then release it.  People would complain it's not out then they'll complain about the bugs that are left.  Guess what nothing is or ever will be perfect, we have to take if for what it is and hope that what can be handled get done.  I've not said there shouldn't be any updates, hell I've offered to give them things I've made to help them out because it would help give more the game which the users have been asking for.  I think the reason they're cautious about what they want to put in their game is the fact that you never truly know if the person is the creator if they bought it and have no rights to it other than their use but that's another issue.   I've not nor will I tell anyone to fuck off as I have no need to.

I can see the comical side of the lack of updates but it's what you said that wasn't true, they never showed anywhere it was released only said that it might be out in a couple of weeks and at least Gizmo responded stating they had a few more bugs before they would release it.  Not saying you don't, never did.

It's taken you a while to work that one out!!!!! Didn't Twiggy suggest it right at the beginning of the thread? Somebody did. However, you have a point. The mods have access to account details so they can manage it either way. Personally I think the account wide ban has more power than an avi ban, just like the account ignore has more power than the avi ignore. There are ways round both but the account one is a little more difficult.

 

I suppose we'll quickly find out when the update arrives. For myself I'm willing to wait and see but I can see that there will be a huge reaction if there is a significant increase in harrassment.

I didn't need it broke down you comment should it have been to the one above you was something different then what you reply matched so that's why I asked you state where it showed the update was out than pulled when it never was. I've not seen them post something on the update page then remove it.  I've seen in WC someone saying that 3DX was promoting someone's room which they never were.  The person went on for days saying the same thing for hours on end in WC.

You're words don't state about a specific update and you insult the devs at the same time.

@ xMaceyx is this the one you're talking about.  They were asking a question/making a statement.  So that was why I commented to you because it ddn't make sense what was written by you.

To my mind, on skimming through this again, there are two main issues being discussed.

 

First:- That people feel that the developers could keep users better informed about updates, both content and timescale. My feeling is that they could do better but if, as some people suggest, the development team is a team of one I can quite understand how it is impossible to do this up to the same standard as a big software company. Alongside this there seems to be a feeling that users suggestions aren't taken on board, or that they take a very long time to be implemented. One problem does seem that the information that is given to users raises an expectation that is difficult to meet. I understand how people feel about things even though it doesn't concern me greatly, the way I play the game fits well with the current content.

 

Secondly:- People are concerned that the change to the ignore function will result in an increase in harrassment in game. I understand people's reasons for feeling that way, and I mostly agree. I like to think that the devs are aware of the issues and will act if enough people report an increase. The issue has been raised early enough in the develpment cycle of this update for something to be included, if not for immediate implementation then at sometime in the future if required. My reasons for thinking this way? Quite simply it would be foolish not to. Allowing an increase in harrassment to go unchecked would be commercial suicide. EU legislation seems to me to be leaning much more to the view that social platform operators have a duty of care to their users and that failure to do so could result in hefty sanctions. I could be wrong but I read somewhere that US legislation is moving that way too. 38% of users are from the US, according to some statistics I stumbled upon the other day. It would be a catastrophe to the game if 3dxChat were excluded from this market. If I remember correctly the EU represents something like 20% of the user base, 18% sticks in my mind for some reason. Again a pretty hefty hit if access were restricted in EU countries.

 

I suppose I'm still suggesting we wait and see, perhaps nag the devs a bit, hope for the best but prepare for the worst.

 

One last point, if there is a significant increase in harrassment and the devs do not act to deal with it after complaints then people will start to leave. Gradually the word would get round that 3dxChat is not a good place to be any more. So, there's an extra reason for the devs to take note of users concerns.
