Upcoming Updates 2018

You miss my point, RobT. I the rules are not applied consistently then they are not worth having. This is not about democracy but commercial considerations. If users feel some people can get away with breaking the rules and others can’t then they will have a poor view of the game, they will not stay to enjoy what it has to offer. In addition unchecked rule breaking will ultimately cause a decline in the user base. Constantly being exposed to homophobia, as in this case, trolling, stalking, rascist comments etc. Does not make an entertainment worth paying for.

Do I detect a pattern here? First try to stifle discussion with threats under ToS then stifle it with rubbish. Will abuse come next? I strongly suspect that users are reluctant to participate in discussions because of the risk of troll attack? An excellent future update could, and should, increase the effectiveness of both the ignore function and enable moderators to act more quickly, effectively and consistently. Of course that’s not to neglect the tools to increase the range of user created content available.

One question does stick in my mind. One poster argued that retention of new users is as low as 20%. I don’t think that is sufficient for a successful business. The big question the devs need to address is why this is so. In addition to the range of content forum users have suggested that there are too few women playing, I think it is generally agreed that the proportion of female users is low. I think that my be significant, viewing some of threads over the past year or so. Do male users want to play with male users playing as female?

The point I am trying to make is that there are many small changes that could go a long way to making 3dxChat more successful as well as better for those of us already playing.

Actually Nikki is no troll, she is one of the more respected posters here and i am pretty sure she echos the sentiment of most here. They are tired of all the bullshit in this thread back and forth that has nothing to do with the thread topic. If you want to debate those things, make a new thread for it instead of clogging up a thread people use to get info about upcoming updates.

*i was including everyone bickering, not just one person*

Give it a break and keep to the topic @ Stormbringer you brought it here from another thread and then you wonder why you're being accused of someone else because they did the same shit.  So sorry if you don't like people asking it to be stopped but it really is enough and doesn't need to be dragged through more threads as action was taken even if you don't agree with it.  You're not the Devs and they control what they choose.

Bring it back on topic!!!

Gizmo, do we have an idea when the new update from the test server bugs getting fixed to when you'll move us to the new server?  It's nice to have an estimate as some like me have been using both to build and look forward to the update being in place.

May I repeat the point I was trying to make? That there are many small changes that could make the game better for everybody, they do not need to be major. I see one of the purposes of threads like this one as a way to tease these out. Despite that I still feel more tools to enable users to create, and share, content would overcome most of the major criticisms that have been expressed. There has been some discussion about hwo this might be done, but it seems to have stalled.

**Edit here** - to pick up on a post by one of the more vocal members of the community, a clothes editor would enable him to have as many socks as he likes.

I'd think it safe to say they have encountered some unexpected problems.

Perhaps once they get back into a normal routine they can consider new avenues.

3DX is evolving as most VR worlds do. It is becoming more social. More creative. There is a reduction in the 'Fuck me' themed rooms and a bigger emphasis on dance clubs and the social - as well as the hidden Builder's quietly creating things instead of leaving cause it got boring.

The older worlds are not busy because of jerking off to cartoons. The older worlds retain their bases because of the social and creative aspects - along with the ability to look and dress uniquely. Never underestimate the desire to look unique.

There are some who claim who claim to be "Developers" in other worlds. There are those who claim, 'Devs can't deal with it" and "getting textures is a mountain to overcome.

Neither point is true.

I don't think that's true maybe right now on the main server. It does seems like a decent number of colders and people just into sex rooms and poses have moved to the test server, but I am sure it wont last. Still I think the game is less social then it was a few years ago at least it feels like that to me.

I would disagree.

The test server is nothing but those looking to jerk to a new free cartoon. You will also notice, to get the numbers it has it takes a worldwide appeal.

Not trying to be nasty. You don't spout crap and are cautious with your claims.

I think you will find 3DX evolving from more of a looped cartoon jerk fest into a more social long term world.

It seems to happen to most worlds over time.

Question: If I am right, then how should development continue?

If wrong, do you think a bunch of cartoons in a loop will retain enough people to jerk off too?

I'd argue that the jerk offs get bored and leave, or become more social over time.
