By investors, I meant guys with big money who invest significant funds into the project and finance development costs but, in return, require developers to do what investors want and so on. We are an independent team. We have always been and remain free. And we do what we love.

I see players as people who like what we do and are willing to support us in our creativity. Our dear players are people who want to share their ideas with us to inspire us to create new and interesting results. I see people who are interested in sharing this exciting journey with us. At the same time, I realize that not everyone will like everything we do, and that's fine. If at least one or two people like our work, it will significantly reward us.

You should know when I'm complaining because you also know I don't hold back. But it's all good now, so I'll just make suggestions while we have your undivided attention in this forum. Like the Page Down and Up idea. and it would be nice to have the partner teleporting back so we can jump on things to dance on like speakers and such.  All I'm asking is just consider it.

well, there are 3 new pairs of positions that make it look like a victimizer and a victim, I think (personally) that they are a little rough to be in the list of normal positions, maybe they should be moved to the fetish section

I don't see anything new in this patch, nothing really innovative.
It's the same as always, a few normal poses, a few new faces, a bit of make-up and a few old-fashioned items of clothing.
No tattoo editor, no real BDSM and no simple things like intimate jewellery or anal plugs.
3DX has the potential to become the best sex game on the net, but it just bobs along.

 

Maybe something is lost in the translation from German to English, but could you confirm that you believe tatoos, "real" BDSM, and anal plugs are higher importance than new sex poses, new faces, and new clothing?

I'm tired to death with squinting at tiny blurry thumbnail images during the heat of sex trying to tell if I'm about to insult my partner and ruin the encounter with a bad porn slappy, choky, or futa pose.

For that matter, there are a bunch of poses in "Foreplay" which are much more sexual than the category suggests, or the cuddling & kissing poses need their own category.

@thechilenazoman Speak for yourself please, us subs love to be victimized and dominated and love to be held down.  There are so many other poses you can enjoy so why complain when others love these poses?  People in here have all kinds of fantasies so play the game as you like and let others enjoy the way they like to play.  I hate the face slapping poses but I know others like it so I just warn who ever partners me not to even try it on me. Your partner doesn't have to accept if they don't like the pose.

i don't know what resolution do you use, but in higer resolutions the thumbs for poses you can barely see, 

and Pandorra is right, i'm only vote for move to another section,

When I would be allowed to add something to on going debate as what 3DX identifies;

I would say its not to 100% a sex game, its more likely an adult platform/social platform, after all people come to encounter other and when you not able to communicate properly you not able gain social bonds, if it leads to sexual intercourse or not is a side thing
I stayed long subscribed, even when I was only chatting with people I knew for quite some time.

@Gizmoare you and the team even considered a subscription free access to 3DX, with limited options in terms of clothing and sex? Would raise user-count for sure.

Of course, we have discussed the possibility of making 3DXChat free to play. There are pros to this in terms of expanding the player base. However, there are also cons - it could increase the workload for our moderators and potentially lead to an opposing player experience as they may be targeted by more trolls, creating new accounts repeatedly.

The paid subscription functions primarily as a membership fee for access to a closed community, and it also acts as a paywall that protects players from troublemakers.

You've also correctly observed that 3DXChat is not just a sex game. It's also an adult social platform where people communicate and interact with others while exploring their own and others' sexuality. The ability to communicate with different individuals is crucial here. I'm confident that every user enjoys adventures in the virtual world and has the opportunity to hone their social skills in a safe virtual environment. And that's amazing!

I had this on others.... these players were a pain in the butt. One of the reasons I came here.

I hope 3dxchat will never go free to play. 

Free to play model almost always leads to microtransactions and I would hate it, subscription model where you get full content for fixed price much more fair and honest. 

And aside of microtransactions, free to play would make it much easier to troll, to stalk and to fill rooms with afk avis just for numbers. 

 

Though, I have an idea how some new players could be introduced to 3dxchat. When someone pays for 6 months or year of gametime - be it subscription or just buying time-code - maybe give them as a gift additional code for a week (if they paid for 6-months) or two weeks (if they paid for year) of playtime - and this code can be used only to create new account. So people can invite their friends from other adult games and communities to try 3dxchat for free by giving them these codes.

It sounds not like a bad idea, especially for increasing player bases and some new incomes for devs. But imagine everyday there's 10 trolls, monkes and colders smashing in your room,trolling and hugging around, stealing your ideas, rooms and creations, spamming "send nude", "wanna have some sex?", throwing out some cheap RPs, endless colds or even advertisement links... That's what happened at SL and MnFclub ... maybe it's not a very good idea. Even there is a possible way to add an purchasable adult content pass for all sex/nude contents like iMVU to filter out trolls, but still... what can devs serve after filtered most of poses, some of clothing and almost all player rooms for f2p players

Indeed, in today's gaming industry, the free-to-play model often entails companies resorting to aggressive monetization through microtransactions and striving to maximize profits.

As for 3DXChat, with the annual subscription at its maximum discount, every user can gain access to the game with all the updates that have been added over the 11 years of development for the price of a cup of coffee per month.
If we recall the game's initial release, one month of gameplay cost $19.99, and it only featured the Night Club location, with limited poses and clothing options. There was no world editor, and so on.
In 2020, we introduced a 50% discount on all plans to support people during the Covid lockdown, and we have maintained these prices. Additionally, it's worth mentioning our referral program, where users receive an extra month of gameplay for bringing in a friend.

So, 3DXChat and all the gaming content are now more attractive in pricing than ever before. Any adult can afford a subscription to be a member of 3DXChat community.

And when it comes to making the game Free-to-Play, the first question to answer is: Why? What is the purpose of doing so? What consequences could this lead to? (e.g., the introduction of microtransactions, an influx of trolls) Is it to expand the user base? Will quantity always translate into quality? Is it to make the game more affordable in terms of price? Is the current game price so unaffordable for an independent adult?

This is exactly what I've been saying all the time when people complain about a subscription model for a game. If you cant afford $10-20 (which is mostly the prices for a subscription game not only 3dx. Yea yea, there are surely more expensive ones) then you definitely have more important things to attend to than a Video game. 

A "money-wall" is good against Bots and trolls, but as we see with all those dance crews, its not the ultimate solution... but a free to play version, would make everything worse. I think its good if it stays how it is right now.

it may not happened often in private lands and some servers... but world island and some of the worlds are kinda... too much more trolls, bumping roaming around or mess with other's bumpers . That's one of reasons I give up there... and the others is it's engine. But you're right, it's worth to pay for such a little place.

If you mean the island where newbies start, Yeah!  most of trolls and scumers are there. 99,9% of public spots are safe today. Except porn. Its never safe anywhere.

Best comment on this subject... I was going to say the same thing. Making it free would just bring in children. it's bad enough dealing with teenagers  and 20 somethings at times lol
