    When you reshape the sphere block, the original boundaries are invisibly retained. There are lots of posts about this in the World Editor section of the forums.

    This error has existed from the first day the World Builder was released.  Gizmo has never acknowledged this so there's never been any word if it will ever get fixed. The way around this error is to use other blocks or combos of blocks to achieve the same outcome.

    You cant make that door with water or anything thats available in the builder. This is a hack of some type, maybe not malicious but its definitely not a "building technique"

    Somehow I dont think we want to know. I've not seen the other stuff but I seen that door a year ago in a room that was opened in the live game by someone. I asked a friend about it and he said he had heard that someone had found a way to import some stuff into the builder, it was obviously not widely known otherwise we would of seen it more since, but theres also the chance that Giz may nuke from orbit whoever did this so they are keeping quiet about it.

      I know Gizmo isn't interested in economy here, but you cannot debate the worlds with economies where there is a daily constant stream of newly made clothes and such is made are more popular.  My point, there is more to do in general.

    3DX really grew since the creation of the WE (and the pandemic) but many I've know for a very long time in other worlds who came over, seem to be spending more time in the older worlds again - even if they are outdated.  Women like their clothes.

    There is no doubt the quality of 3DX is high in many areas. But when you have mainly women - who have wardrobes of HUNDREDS and THOUSANDS of outfits in the old worlds, wearing the same cloths day after day in 3DX isn't incentive enough to stay for many. Never underestimate the power of the dress up fantasy and wearing clothing you never could in RL.  The attempts to have like "Superhero Night,"  "Leather and Lace Night" "Uniform Night"  or Formal Balls - to name a few are severely limited in 3DX because of the lack of clothing content.

    It sounds like Gizmo is attempting to address this issue in an upcoming update.  I guess we will see how effective it is. 

    Indeed, virtual bling is a billion dollar a year industry in and of itself.

    It kinda finally answers a question many of us had on why the Curio project never used a body under the clothes. The clothes meshes would replace covered body parts which made it impossible to make transparent clothes, but I guess would solve the long dress problems.

    Hopefully, what Gizmo has planned for clothing customization isn't all just skin tight clothing and eventually you can get your long dresses in.

    I've been looking far and wide among games for quite some time including ones from the billion+ dollar companies to see how they dealt with the clipping issues, and they do it in a number of ways, firstly by not making them at all(which is what most do), or making the lower area very wide, or huge leg cuts in them. The reality is, there is no way to make loose-long clothing react the way you want it to in every situation you're going to come across in an open world like this one. If you give it free reign, chances are it will end up flying all over the place as it collides with the various assets in the world, a few studios tried this method with varying success and failures depending on the lengths and types of applications used, much like ragdoll and other effects.

    The scripting is used to control what happens when you sit, lay or crouch or whatever but almost impossible to cover all the variables in a world like 3dx when you think about all the seated and laying positions solo, then all of the poses which are continually growing, then add in all the dances and finally, the custom worlds we inhabit and now you have some really serious work involved in adding a single dress. Not only that, but the possible performance hit from all the scripting going on in a room full of people using those long dresses would be prohibitive for a lot of people.

    Personally, id be happy to get them into 3DX, add in the basic scripts for walking seating embracing etc and a notice that they wont work with dancing or poses, even go so far as to block out the dance buttons.

    I've seen more issues in clothes that are tight to the body. or perhaps, in other worlds (unlike 3dx) clothes replace the body underneath to save polygons (unlike 3dx)? Good and bad to that from what I see here as opposed to there. Good, cause you don't have clipping, bad cause you have no "body" underneath.

    Yeah, I entered a cute spring dress and a strapless sanguine, both were knocked back because they were below the knee. 😢

    If the pose editor could accommodate those slider values, it would still do so with IK.

    They wont allow below the knee dresses or skirts because of some clipping that would occur and this would be far worse. The variation from smallest to biggest is so much that you'd want at least 5 or maybe even 10 pre-sets so things didn't start getting ugly.  IK wont solve the issues that you will get with this, you're not coupling a trailer to a lorry here, everything will need to be adjusted and animated if you care about quality.

    While its possible to do,  I cant see them ever dedicating the resources to this that would be needed.

    I've mentioned before this should be solvable with inverse kinematic (IK) animation, where one avatar's mouth is navigating by code to a point on the other avatar instead of using preset keyframe positions.

    The mythical "pose editor" might be able to solve this too, where players could trade poses or pose files like "breastplay_small", "breastplay_medium", etc. that would manually account for these differences. Still wouldn't work if "_medium" was for a 50% breast and their partner had 48% breasts, but it's a start.

    There's far too many variables for IK or anything like that to be a realistic option here. The pose editor as you mention is what would take 3dx to the next level for interactivity between characters. If the current character editor had values assigned to the sliders(which is an easy addition) and you could use the models you assign to the animator, then you could make perfect fitting animations for all sizes.  User says my char is xx xx xx xx xx xx dimensions, can you make/adjust this pose for them, because if you've already made the animation then it would be a case of adjusting it to suit the different hip/breast etc sizes.

    I'm certain you know that this is the case for the majority of suggestions, you only have to spend a little time going back through them to see they have only implemented a few ideas out of the thousands put forward over the years, but still, if you have time to waste, no harm in adding to the conversations here.

    As for the rest? you're still missing the point and are coming to a conclusion from a single standpoint. The BDSM stuff always polls low in Noirs Polls but they are there, a segment of the 3DX users that really like this stuff. As for the the discord reactions, I think there were well over 220 likes for it, or don't they count because its not your cup of tea?

    I'm glad Gizmo adds content for all types of users, and you should be too. 🙂

    There are tons and tons of suggestions right here in teh Suggestions section which you personally created for people to share their suggestions. And if their ideas don't mean anything, naturally people get dissapointed. Because I'm quite certain some iddle cage poses weren't anywhere on a top list among the suggestions

    And that's only if we take sex poses.

    Because aside of sex what else people do around here? That's right. They go in clubs to dance. And you have a single couple dance and that's it. One.

    So maybe a cage sitting wasn't among the priorities of most people here

    As I mentioned earlier in the thread, you're looking at it the wrong way by thinking that this item is somehow prioritised over other work, that's not how any development works, be it in a big studio or small. In doing so, you're making an issue in the wrong context here imo.

    When I say wrong, I mean that you have no idea who made this item or when, you don't know what items are being prioritised atm, other that what gizmo has stated above. Lastly, you're drawing a long bow if you think you know what the majority of users want, the best you could do in this regard is look at the polls that NoirDesire has been running, these polls almost always list clothing, sex poses and customisations the most wanted features, and these align with my discussions with fellow 3dxers and from observations in these forums, though they do not align with mine. The 3 things I would like most would be: Id love a lot more World Builder tools to make wonderful worlds for people to be in, and Id love an inbuilt pose editor so we could make the poses we wish instead of relying on someone else. And finally, to be able to do clothing textures/patterns and more.  I do understand why these 3 items are not high on the list with the majority of users.

    3. "Rape fantasies" (different from real rape) are a common fantasy of a majority of women polls show exceeding cages, bondage and other "normal" fantasies yet we are being lectured in "kink shaming" by those who have issue with a common female fantasy.

    I must admit to laughing at those who talk "Kink shaming." My you're so hip!! 🤣

    This stuff, the easy little things always get pushed into updates where possible and are never prioritised, just fitted in where ever and whenever they can. Making that cage and the poses for it is under a days work. Theres probably dozens of little side projects like this they have laying around that they doodle with when time permits and may or may not end up in 3DX at some stage.

    Ive been using this since its inception with no issues at all, though I do remember someone else saying they would get caught on something when trying to walk through a door they made. I didnt get a chance to inspect it to see what the actual issue may have been.

    The only advice I can offer at this stage is to do what ive always done, and that is resize the curtain close to the doorway size, even though you can easily clip it a long way through the floor/walls. Its a habit and ive always done it that way.

  15. When I seen the screen shots, the first thing I wondered was how the lighting was going to affect a build like this and whether you could get the right feel for a cartoon world, It was perfect, using the diffused(clouded) setting you got it spot on and looked great.

    when u have a delay u let ppl know about it its the part that every business do to build a trust between buisness and clients ...

    Things do move slowly in 3DX land, but you must realise that the words "want to" in the context he used it is the same as "Hope to"... In other words, no promise was made at all. You're a non native English speaker, so its quite understandable you didn't get what gizmo said.

    Anyway, lets hope we get some news soon.

    Like ... Nobody is saying we should not be able to remove clothes. But being locked out of some clothes when entering some poses is S T U P I D.

     

    The developers just don't know how sex works. They think that magical unicorns appear and undress you the moment you and your partner decide to get down and dirty. Otherwise they would not have implemented this absurd idea of automatic undressing in the first place. 💢

    The reason is simple, they want it to be easy for the users and that's good in my opinion... Have a look SL if you want to see what a mishmash cluster of ideas meshed into a user interface looks like, its nothing short of an abomination.
