Two months ago a friend told me that Dev are planning for 2 huge update. i was like BBC huge or BWC huge ? He said BBC.

but after getting update it felt like tiny update (sissy).  All we get as woman 2 new bra (which could have been better as1 bra are same as old one) 1 dress, 1 top and 1 bottom and 1 pair of shoes (all these things takes 4 months of long development process ) i have no idea what men get. about poses 4-5 useful poses (really not fan of those cage things..really unnecessary instead they would have provide some solo poses such as selfie, catwalk for modeling or some couple poses) so its like trailer was for BBC but update came for Sissy. 4 months of long development just only for few poses and clothes ?

Current sub rate is 46$ for a year this rate dev are making

    for 1000 players making = 46k $ (monthly earning

    for 2000 = 92k $
So dev. can't you hire part-time animator and creator to give to create decent clothes and poses ?

hire another part-time programmer to fix the bugs.

Take a week course of marketing which will teach you how to communicate with players and get more players.

you could better than this dev.

The update you're referring to has not been released yet, it was mentioned that its been pushed back later because of the extra time it took for the lovense integration. There is no ETA for the update. If I was to guess I would put it at late August if all goes well, but we'll see.

    I don't quite understand.
I would say that: on the contrary, the fact that people give them negative feedback on this subject, should make the designers understand, that not all customers are satisfied.  So, they should react accordingly, by offering them more adequate content and not, as you say: that it will strengthen their position, that it is less important and not to add more.
In my opinion, this way of thinking, would be very bad on their part.

I did not mean it that way. Criticisms and suggesting what you desire are good, but what he did there was neither. he called what they released garbage, but others like it so its an opinion based on personal preference, not a constructive criticism, nor did he offer a suggestion. It was a useless post that's only made to antagonise the devs.

I have very little hope that they will ever give men any new clothing. I don't count the latest garbage they gave us as anything more then garbage. Those cut offs are hideous looks like something pulled out of the trash.

While most agree that mens clothing has received little attention, this sort of comment will only strengthen their position that its of little import to add more. 🙄

Yes, I totally agree, this house is taking a long time to build. The reason is the lack of the right textures, you can think of a way out with the material we have, but it takes a lot of effort. To be honest, I have resigned myself to it...((((( "Vintage houses" are very desirable houses, but there is nothing for them(

What makes it more annoying is that almost all these older places have 12 foot ceilings and are usually quite open layouts, which as you know are perfect for 3DX with the camera, so these lovely old homes and manors can be captured and reproduced in all their glory if we were to have the textures.

Have you been spying on me?  Ive been wanting to do a manor like this for ages. 😄

Still too many limitations with the WB for my liking to take on a project like this, namely the textures. If we could have patterned textures in both X and Z axis, I would approach these projects with vigour but as it is, I cant reconcile the mess not having those gives me. You can work around the walls for the most part, but the roofing and flooring is impossible for certain builds.

I also would like to see so many other things also, but lighting is one of the fundamental needs in any build. It provides the atmosphere.

Remeber Jen, unfortunitly they just can't buy any asset and just use it. There were some exceptions at one time, dunno if there still are some. There are ways around this (direct agreement from creator to purchaser outside the Unity Store) but when using the Unity Asset store you are bould by the legal...and they will go after you if your on their radar.

Yeah, but thoughts are free 😜

Problem solved... somehow, but the floating glitch still exists

it seems like if you put a circular layer inside the Fillet shape, it could make your avatar steps on mid-air, and block the interact of the action trigger

this might be a cool research to make the avatar floating and dancing in midair 😋

When you reshape the sphere block, the original boundaries are invisibly retained. There are lots of posts about this in the World Editor section of the forums.

This error has existed from the first day the World Builder was released.  Gizmo has never acknowledged this so there's never been any word if it will ever get fixed. The way around this error is to use other blocks or combos of blocks to achieve the same outcome.

I tried it with water, but the door doesn't look solid then. You can look through it and it's, uh, made of water...

You cant make that door with water or anything thats available in the builder. This is a hack of some type, maybe not malicious but its definitely not a "building technique"

hi..,  I'm not hiding anything from anyone, you can download the room and then you will understand how it's done ! please respect the labor, Also, these objects are in the game itself, no need to use programs or software, no illegal situation, I studied for hours and it came out, please respect the labor!

Explain why I seen the door over a year ago.

looks really interesting. As Torax said: how did you create these new objects?

Somehow I dont think we want to know. I've not seen the other stuff but I seen that door a year ago in a room that was opened in the live game by someone. I asked a friend about it and he said he had heard that someone had found a way to import some stuff into the builder, it was obviously not widely known otherwise we would of seen it more since, but theres also the chance that Giz may nuke from orbit whoever did this so they are keeping quiet about it.

There is a slight chance that this update with clothing editor, and all the rest of the blings got lost in the trash bin of development, like quite a long line of unrealised promises, like for example working tv again, and pose editor. And some might ask about this a few years down the road (if they are still around that is), what happened to it.

Most likely because of poor development practices and mismanagement of priorities. Just like many times before.

    I'm just saying.

Anyway cheers. Stay healthy, eat your veggies guys.

A friend and I were talking about this the other day, wondering about the second update and how that its probably being pushed back further and further by the delay of this secret update.

Some of the critical reviews you read about 3DX involve retention issues. Like, 'you join for the sex, it grows dull and then people move on or go back to the older worlds because there is more to do.'  I know I spend less and less time building in 3DX myself because it's a lot of the same old thing.

I know Gizmo isn't interested in economy here, but you cannot debate the worlds with economies where there is a daily constant stream of newly made clothes and such is made are more popular.  My point, there is more to do in general.

3DX really grew since the creation of the WE (and the pandemic) but many I've know for a very long time in other worlds who came over, seem to be spending more time in the older worlds again - even if they are outdated.  Women like their clothes.

There is no doubt the quality of 3DX is high in many areas. But when you have mainly women - who have wardrobes of HUNDREDS and THOUSANDS of outfits in the old worlds, wearing the same cloths day after day in 3DX isn't incentive enough to stay for many. Never underestimate the power of the dress up fantasy and wearing clothing you never could in RL.  The attempts to have like "Superhero Night,"  "Leather and Lace Night" "Uniform Night"  or Formal Balls - to name a few are severely limited in 3DX because of the lack of clothing content.

It sounds like Gizmo is attempting to address this issue in an upcoming update.  I guess we will see how effective it is.

Indeed, virtual bling is a billion dollar a year industry in and of itself.

  13. 9 hours ago, THX said:

    Thanks for that.

It kinda finally answers a question many of us had on why the Curio project never used a body under the clothes. The clothes meshes would replace covered body parts which made it impossible to make transparent clothes, but I guess would solve the long dress problems.

Hopefully, what Gizmo has planned for clothing customization isn't all just skin tight clothing and eventually you can get your long dresses in.

I've been looking far and wide among games for quite some time including ones from the billion+ dollar companies to see how they dealt with the clipping issues, and they do it in a number of ways, firstly by not making them at all(which is what most do), or making the lower area very wide, or huge leg cuts in them. The reality is, there is no way to make loose-long clothing react the way you want it to in every situation you're going to come across in an open world like this one. If you give it free reign, chances are it will end up flying all over the place as it collides with the various assets in the world, a few studios tried this method with varying success and failures depending on the lengths and types of applications used, much like ragdoll and other effects.

The scripting is used to control what happens when you sit, lay or crouch or whatever but almost impossible to cover all the variables in a world like 3dx when you think about all the seated and laying positions solo, then all of the poses which are continually growing, then add in all the dances and finally, the custom worlds we inhabit and now you have some really serious work involved in adding a single dress. Not only that, but the possible performance hit from all the scripting going on in a room full of people using those long dresses would be prohibitive for a lot of people.

Personally, id be happy to get them into 3DX, add in the basic scripts for walking seating embracing etc and a notice that they wont work with dancing or poses, even go so far as to block out the dance buttons.

Really? not doubting you, but that is odd.

Even in other Unity worlds there was less issues with clipping in dress's below the knee (more room? or because the dress replaced the legs?).

I've seen more issues in clothes that are tight to the body. or perhaps, in other worlds (unlike 3dx) clothes replace the body underneath to save polygons (unlike 3dx)? Good and bad to that from what I see here as opposed to there. Good, cause you don't have clipping, bad cause you have no "body" underneath.

Yeah, I entered a cute spring dress and a strapless sanguine, both were knocked back because they were below the knee. 😢

Nothing is preventing IK. And it's the only way to make different sizes work.
Otherwise, with a slider that ranges from 0.0 to 1.0, they would have to hand animate every relevant pose to suit 100 different settings (0.00, 0.01, 0.02...) If the slider had only 3 states (small, medium, large), then they'd only have to hand animate 3 times for every relevant pose. But that's still more work than just implementing IK.

If the pose editor could accommodate those slider values, it would still do so with IK.

They wont allow below the knee dresses or skirts because of some clipping that would occur and this would be far worse. The variation from smallest to biggest is so much that you'd want at least 5 or maybe even 10 pre-sets so things didn't start getting ugly.  IK wont solve the issues that you will get with this, you're not coupling a trailer to a lorry here, everything will need to be adjusted and animated if you care about quality.

While its possible to do,  I cant see them ever dedicating the resources to this that would be needed.
