beta 2.0 nobody???

I know this is a beta version ,but for month i heard everybody complaining about the dev,they dont do nothing,and now the beta version is here and only few people going there and some dont even go yet.Almost everybody who discuss with me say ah the beta have some bug and we wait until there ready.But honestly the old version still have some bug to and with the hack file the room sometime its very buggy.

 

I just want to say dev you did a great job and i hope people appreciate what your doing.

The thing is people have read about all the bugs, but aren't willing to go there. FYI people it's a beta which is an unfinished product, so it's suppose to have bugs and it's our jobs to test them as members to let devs know what needs to be fixed! The sadder thing is when I go there I hardly see anyone on and I believe it's mostly, cause of the bug where others can't see one another naked. That bug shows how few people are there to socialize, swim, dance, and not just strip as well as have sex. It's a great place if people would give it a chance.

My guess is you're right. It's because you cannot get naked for others. I would suggest that once this bug is fixed you will see a lot higher take up.

 

Sure socialising and dancing is a big part of many of our experiences.... But it IS a sex game. There should be very little surprise about the take up, given that bug.

I think if it's in testing should not be just about seeing other naked they did a wonderful job I go and just sit appreciate the job they did, we as a people need to open our minds more, yes it's an Adult game, but come on if we don't go hang out see whats wrong how will they know what to fix, everything good comes with time, let enjoy the Beauty of the place, I believe from what I saw it will all fall into place,

I'm just going to wait for the final product I rarely get on the old version at the moment. I don't want to get in the new one till then. Just how I am. Also my thinking is that it is a beta version for testing so you go on test it and then go back to the old till the new is complete. Again just how I see things.

Think it has something to do with testing face, think a lot don't really wish to be test bunnies as paying subscribers on a patch version arguably to a few feel indifferently. As it's mostly a graphic update where many voices time over they wish to get more customization, locations and animations among things.

 

So you can't really expect some to be hyped about something they only feel moderately invested in if at all.

Spend most of my time in 2.0 now, it's too damn beautiful to look at to go back. The naked thing can be solved by reloading the room once the other person has stripped. Yes. hardly ideal but worth the hassle.... butts are awesome now!  And the skin shine slider means you can get things to look a little more real. I find the shine in 1.0 makes avis look a little plastic.

 

I've solved the WC issue by trolling myself. I always win.

Personally I really like the 2.0 beta. I'm a very visual person, and the prettier the world the more I find I can get immersed in it. I especially love the day/night options for our apartments - they add a huge amount of atmosphere, and I'm very excited to see the final product.

 

That said I think the beta only has one major issue: Its really hard on people with older computers. I'm lucky enough to have a new, powerful computer that can easily handle the beta on max settings, but several of my friends have reported their older systems lagging, freezing and crashing. In order to hang out with them I'm forced to stay in 1.0, even though I'd much rather be parking my bunny butt in 2.0.

 

The result is that 2.0 has a smaller population, and probably will have till the full version comes out.  : (

A lot of my friends in game who play casually did not even know there was a beta!

 

Just yesterday i asked a old friend if he tried the beta and he was like " whaaaaaaat, there is a beta out?  Your shitting me right?" This week i told two casual users who had no clue. 

 

When you launch normal game it just shows the same old April 1st picture that most clicked ages ago. Even for people who come to the forums there is no sign of any beta out. Unless some one bumps the bug thread to the top of the list on front page or see's this thread there is no way to even know a beta exists.

 

Maybe they could put a "Come try the beta" banner at the log in section of client and a banner ad in NC or fresco. And some type of permanent picture of it on front page of forums. Could help with bug testing. 

 

The reality is most in game are not die hard forum users. Most do not pay attention to world and unless you actually tell a new user about some type of secret beta, They don't even know it exists!

Looking at what comes up as you enter the game it shows the same announcement to 3DXChat 2 that it has been there for quite some time.

That link takes you to the announcement page which says nothing of the beta version, so unless people have seen it in the forums or been told by someone in game they wouldn't know.

I agree, there should be something on the entry page that shows there is a beta.

 

As far as people going to V2 and playing there, I think lots have already, there is pages of information showing that where people have added bugs they have seen.

I do go there on occasions to check things out or try something to see the difference, but as for going there to play I don't think it is quite up to that stage yet.

If people are looking at it like I am, we are waiting for the next update and will go back in then to help with further testing.

There is simply to many bugs in there to make it compatible to what can be enjoyed in V1.

Maybe we can get Gizmo/Lisa to put a advertisement in the NC club on the welcome poster and on normal client. Could help to spread the word. Is not to much work either. 

 

We kinda need to stress test the beta client anyway. For all we know the whole darned virtual world may explode if more then 30 people are on one map.

if it's only a question of not being able to see others nudes , there is some ways to solve this easily

 

1st : Wear only a dress + a panty , stockings optional + shoes ( not boots as they will not be removed ) <--- women

     Wear only a pant , no top , shoes optional <--- men

 

This way , when you select a sex pose , you can see the other fully nude

 

 

2nd : for striptease , the stripper undress normally as she do her/his striptease . The watchers just have to reload the room with each clothes removed ( it's very fast and not really annoying ) , this way , they can see the striper nude when her/his strip end .

Yes, i didn't even know until I read it here but there are a lot of players that don't use the forums. There should be something on the right side of the client letting people know the Beta is available.

There are parts that look really nice (environments, water) and parts that look not so nice (colors in general, cubes, bracelets, fires). Also there is the matter of the "addons" we have available in the standard client now. Not to mention performance is much better on regular. Highest settings on 2.0 gives me lots of graphical lag and glitching. I'm happy in the standard version for now.

 a big yay for 2.0 when you're ummm....you know! love the new FF poses and the dim lighting in your room at night time. also i hate the moaning sounds so that's another plus   for all the other game play, i'll wait until 2.0 is finished

I think Gizmo has a lot more work to do on the lighting, I do remember him saying somewhere that the graphics we see now will not be the finished product.

With the lighting there is not only setting the lights in each location and the different types of settings for them alone, there is also setting the way each texture or material receives the light.

Those settings effect the way the colours come through and I believe is why we are seeing different objects appear badly coloured.

I am still also hoping he will improve the texture on our avis skin, although it does look slightly better without the over shine we have in V1, it can still look much better than it does.

I think they are still using the same textures as in V1.

My guess why the beta wasn't over-promoted is the devs feared a big rush to a new platform, whereas this way it gets tested without being over-stretched. I think it's called a soft launch...

 I haven't gotten on 2.0 much, I love the lighting, I think the iceberg looks plastic and could be toned down a little, but over all it's cool. Yet when I log it it's like a ghost town I hop from room to room with no one there. it's like home alone, crossed with living  in the twilight zone.   I think regardless of the bugs it would be awesome fun if people would use their amazing imaginations.

cause ppl are mainly on the last stable version prob i guess....same prob with me too! connect sometimes shortly into 2.0 but are mainly usn v1.0 cause i also dont see harldy ppl, nore even world- and local chat in 2.0! pm'ing friends works but i think, that probs already have been posted soemwhere and are known and yeah, they are surly workin on that besides all the other things^^
