Tlaera
Before the move to the new server, the friends list was ordered by when you added the friend. Newer friends were on top and older ones were on the bottom. When we moved to the new server, the list order seemed to get randomized. This wasn't terribly surprising, considering all the other changes. But I've realized that the list isn't random. I just can't tell what it's using to decide the ordering. Last night I tried to move one of my friends higher on the list. While she was on, I did "Delete Friend" and then added her again. When she logged off, she showed at the top of my offline friends, as I expected. But when I logged off and back on, the list had been reordered. She was back to the location she was in before I removed and re-added her. So the list ordering isn't random. Something is consistently deciding to place friends in this particular order. Can anyone tell me what the order is? It's not ordered by when the friend was added, and it's not ordered by how long the person has been in 3dxchat. What is it ordered by? There are probably more important things to solve. But if I could have my way with the friends list I'd want one of two things:1) Offline friends are ordered by the last time they were on. (So, if a friend hasn't been on in a long time, you can tell. And, if you just missed her, you can also tell.)or2) Some mechanism to let me order them however I want. Drag the friends up and down on the list, or have arrows, or even a right click and "move to the top" option. Any of these would be fine. Vaughan_Rarius
I'd prefer it, if friends were kept alphabetical in both the online and offline sections. It would be so much easier. I would second that and would like where you could put favorites at the top. Vaughan_Rarius
LovelyBritney
Would be great if you could make it like on steam for example. Your favorites, but also be able to select them into groups... but that might be asking for too much, just having it new to old or alphabetical would be enough ToxicallySweet, danididit and zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz

Leopardus
friendlist order is by unique id order if im not mistaken Interesting.....so....if I befriend EVERYBODY, I will be able to work out everyone's unique ID's Although I'm not sure how or why I would want to do that lol. I'm sure it must have been reported on here by others, and slightly off topic from the OP's initial posting, but the other thing that happened for me following the move to the new server was that all characters on my ignore list disappeared and have never reappeared. I am left wondering if they are still actually ignored or if they are planning too all gang up on my one day and jump out from behind a bush to gang molest me !! Tony_D
Has it ever been suggested ever to show in your friend's list when the friend was last logged in? It would be nice to be able to order the list too in a way you want. uncle
Sage Stoner
Interesting.....so....if I befriend EVERYBODY, I will be able to work out everyone's unique ID's Huh? We don't even know our own IDs, how would we work out anyone else's? I know you were joking, but I'll bet someone reads that and starts spreading a rumor about how someone has figured out a way to learn other player's unique IDs.
