Upcoming Updates 2018

Gizmo

Recommended Posts

Here is a preview of the content that will be added to the game in the next patch.

You can see 22 new poses. It's like 4 poses per month.

I just do not understand one thing. They wrote that there will be 4 poses a month. On the test server, all 22 poses.

And generally return the porn TV))))))))))

See above is the response that was actually said.

It looks like the most populated worlds are worlds with micro economies. Worlds like Second Life, Red Light Center and the growing Sansar. These worlds have user bases in the millions. Why? Simple really, content.

With how inexpensive this game is at semi annual and annual levels, if you can't afford $20 a month then you should be getting a job and not be here. User buisness's creating content in a micro economy has a proven track record and would increase the amount of subscribers for sure. The industrious can make it a full time real life job and content would explode.

It may be that it is too complex a task for the Dev's here too create a micro economy because of all the security concearns that arise when you have xgold that is transfered between users and then cashed out into real currencies. But is there another way?

Yes, the Devs have their hands full with the current update and this isn't a blame game, yet clothing options remain ridiculously limited, props are ridiculously limited, Avi's hair, accessories, etc.. all are ridiculously limited compared to the worlds that have hundreds of thousands of each of these each.

If the Dev's simply don't want to deal with a micro economy, what ever has happened with user created content that was offered? Does such content break - like animations and dances for instance in updates and it it more hassle to deal with than is worth?

Ok, so if there is not much desire for user created content offered for free, a micro economy can't be done, then why are not efforts focused on in game Clothing Editor that custom textures can be applied to whatever clothing meshes you provide, a more comprehensive Avitar Editor and the ability to add custom artwork skins, Accessory Editor to create, jewelry on provided meshes, and a Pose Editor to create poses?

Being a realist, I doubt anything will change significantly here. It's rather a shame. Even the benefits of the modified dll which the majority use and like arn't incorporated into the update. Why?

I guess all 3DX will be is a temporary distraction for those from other worlds. Never growing much, never shrinking much just never being much more than it is.

I agree with you. obviously I don't think it will be a continuous innovation. last updated 6 months ago

while i agree with updates being slow i dont agree with micro transactions and in all honesty i see it as not wanting to better the game but to get his or her greedy mitts on peoples cash .

Gizmo has said in the past everything in the game will always be free to everyone and in my opinion I think its the best way to go.

as far as sansar "growing"   they average around 50 users a day according to articles and its own forums , 3dx has more than that in a room at any given time. I am having a hard time believing they have millions of users.

Linden Labs indeed has  millions of User.s. There has been a decline, but it still averages around 600,000 active currently. Sansar hasn't even gone adult yet. - but is part of Linden Labs and Linden labs is moving the company in that direction.  in 2008 Utherverse estimated 1.5 million accounts - 10 years ago.   Those are the two biggest worlds. They both are the biggest because they have a steady stream of  new content DAILY available . SL obviously has FAR more varied content available for purchase at professional grade levels than Red Light Center does and as a result has a far greater amount of active customers. It's the business's that keep the platforms popular.

As I stated above, I am a realist. After being here off and on over the last two years not much has changed,  The World Editor being the exception and was a great addition. It however if very limited also. Dev's here may want it a certain way - and that is their prerogative of course.. So things plod on as they have.

Utherverse has had tremendous difficulties in creating a Unity based platform with the abilities of a SL and it's Mico based economy. Benefits that have unquestioningly built SL to what it is today.  Even Old Red Light Center remains popular with thousands of active users per day in a 12 year old game engine because it's simple to use, the clothing and avatars are all different and man of the problems that occur here are not tolerated.

The professional and novice content creator charge a fee because they make RL money at developing and making that content. For some It's their RL Job. They HAVE to create good content. - or someone else will..

Well the last time I looked at SL there were not more people in the adult tagged open areas then there are active on 3DX. Now it maybe be that most people who are into that in SL are in relationships, and don't actually go to the adult areas, but instead just meet people at concerts or whatever, or that many of those areas are not open to the public, we see that type of behavior from people who come to 3DX from SL. Still I think that many people are not playing SL for the same reasons as a lot of people play 3DX. People do play 3DX as a social game as well with events, and stuff but I think its not the majority or as focused on that as SL. I don't really think Sansar is going to have adult content anytime soon, and it seems really focused on interacting in VR not chatting so much. I just don't think that 3DX is as small as your saying if you just look at the numbers of people in other adult games or areas not counting the people who are playing them purely as social games. I do agree though that what 3DX desperately needs is a way for people to get their own content into it. Maybe an idea would be to do the reverse of a economy and let people submit objects for inclusion in the game and their own personal use in exchange for a review free payed to the devs in xgold.

Keep in mind, many of the adult and BDSM places are by invite only.

I'm not going to drone on about all this. I am a realist.

Rochi has proven how one person can impact this game significantly, and still that isn't included for whatever reason.

Linden Labs is actually owned by the same people who own IMVU.  That was found out a long time ago and some migrate between the two for creating content and see how much actual money they can make and put more of an effort into doing it.  Same for SL, IMVU, Utherverse and so on anything submitted by a user has to have a 3rd party disclosure holding that User to Copyright/Trademark and such works and a staff to handle that to ensure that's being enforced.  Sansar is on the low spectrum and don't see it flying off at top speed any time soon.

Rochi has proven how one person can impact this game significantly, and still that isn't included for whatever reason.

While Rochi and others have proven the changes they make are great they are changes that can be made internally by the Devs themselves if they wanted to make them fully implemented.

one of the reasons could simply be most stuff made is of low quality, second is that you folks seem to think adding user content to game is somehow going to lesson gizmos work when actually it will up it.  who exactly do you think will have to look at each item and decide if its good enough for game, etc. Its gizmo. Not to mention for those who play games with shops, you know as well as I do that there is one or two quality products for every 50 that are total crap.

Frenchie (French Touch) tried putting stuff in game for free, people dogged her out on here so in my mind, most dont deserve shit when they treated a person who was giving free stuff to the game  like crap.

Not to mention the whirlwind about Copyright/Trademark and such that must be followed, a 3rd party agreement and so on to allow it.  The Devs have enough to do to keep the game going let alone babysit users for that.  There have been a few users that have had things put in like a couple of graphics for the clothes and FrenchTouch dances that the users bitched about.  So with that happening, how many users do you think are going to give up something to have shit talked on them and what they made, very few if any.  So what you said Rob is accurate.

Mar, I don't know where your are getting you information, but it is laughable. Seriously.

Certainly everyone is liable to copyright infringement. You once claimed 3DX wasn't liable. It would be an interesting court case to see how it played out here. However, other worlds successfully navigate the problems you cite and render your arguement invalid.

The Devs would only need respond to complaints. Just like other worlds who are able to handle these issues. It can be done. The big worlds are able too.

As for your counter arguement of Rochi and the rest... lol. The use of the modification is demonstrable. It proves adaptability and ability.

It's hard to figure out who's nose is browner.

However, other worlds successfully navigate the problems you cite and render your arguement (it's argument) invalid.  There is nothing a user is putting on here that 3DX would be liable for.  The users like those that did the graphics which was only a couple of them and the dances by FrenchTouch would have signed over the rights to the Devs to use them in the game.  Nothing else is by another user in the game itself only, what content we get is by the Devs even if they purchase it, they get a commercial license to use it as such.  So no it doesn't.

The Devs would only need respond to complaints. Just like other worlds who are able to handle these issues. It can be done. The big worlds are able too.  You do realize they have a team that handles the DMCA for them not two people who do everything for the game.  Oh wait, I don't know what I'm talking about.  I've only played those games since they were in Beta before beta release to the some users then public.

As for your counter arguement of Rochi and the rest... lol. The use of the modification is demonstrable. It proves adaptability and ability.  I didn't counter you on that.  I actually said it could be put into the game easily if the Devs wanted to put it in.  Gizmo even commented on that when being asked about 64 bit being done instead of just 32.

It's hard to figure out who's nose is browner.  I don't kiss ass, never have and never will.  I state facts.

All this game requires is one talented person with a passion fo creating content. Example..Clothes.....meows as long as we get extra clothes fo both Women and tha other....ones.....aaaah what are they called agains, yeah dooshbags :P ah keed ah keed, that peckerdillo species....then this would make people alot more hap hap. Mrow this person would need thick skin and not care wot tha peeps moaned about, they would create content, high quality that Gizbo would automatically put in game. they would have free license because he would select someone hoo applied and had tha skeelz and right personality fo tha jobbins.

One thing people really like about games is customization this is cold hard facts peeps, straight from snoogle and tha history books, troo story :P

Peeps like a selection, to mix eet erps and express themselves. This alone would improve this game and have bajillions trying to get in. If this game purely concentrated on updates fo our AV's fo 6 months, then Holy Tacos Chuck Norris, dis game would be like totes mahgoats level 10 on tha rikkterscales yo. :P

Anybewbs….as a good frand of mine says, Micro transactions are not needed especially with a monthly fee and will only increase tha probs. Ah personally tried 2ndLife and uninstalled after 1 day when a custom skin job that cost meh 20 Dolla, its UI refused to work properly, ie Bugged and eet was a waste of treasure. Boooooooooooooooo. So to tha moon eet was booted, KaBoots Weeeeeeeeeeeeee Plops!

This game needs to stay simple and free and find another team member fo tha Devs who will work just fo tha pleasure of creating and ah bets there is one out there too just waiting to make Peckerdillo warmers fo that other species :P

Oh and don't fogets….. :P

not trying to pick at you honest.

This is far more complex. 3DX COULD make it possible to add textures. So why Do I care? Good question.

You know all the props we have and we add a material?  They did a pretty good job of it - right? But what if the texture you wanted they didn't have?

What if, you could go on google.. and find a texture you liked - that wasn't in the materials offered already,  'free use'  (unlikely you would ever have someone giving you a hard time) or you pay US cents for, and never have to worry about any of this BS?

Now since no one actually sells anything here - except Alvia's attempt -  who would need to make sure her textures weren't copyright. cause she is actually SELLING anther's textures. and would be liable - . well, it can be done with minimal risk to the Devs. .

It's done all the time. Not going to beat this into the ground. It isn't my responsibility to figure it all out cause i'm not being paid too.

Im talking AV customization Holmez not wallpapers mmkay. Ah had this idea like a year ago long before tha new Editor introduced eets.

Mrows weve had a big update fo builders this is troo from a basic build with props to an Editor with primetime shapes n junks wif tha XYZ ya follow.

Nows wot we need is something fo everyone, personal shizzles and customization, lets leave da building side alone fo a while and concentrate on something fo everyone, you might be a one outfit wonder but im sure guys...yeah that's them like to dress fancy too so tha wallpapers can be fo another day, ya deeeegs.

More peeps are crying out fo clothes and AV razzamatazz than anyting else, ive taken tha polls ta prove this, so tha ship has sailed mah picky frand toot toot :P

Why settle?

What if I told you that more is CERTAINLY possible  - with a confidence level of 100%?

What if I told you, That even what we have now in clothing meshes (the clothes we have NOW) ... could become say... 60,000 new designs?  With a confidence level of 100%?

Would that interest you?

Actually, that's probably as poor an example as you could pick. It's true that there are a lot of things that are protected by copyright as soon as they are created. Works of fiction, songs, paintings, choreography are good examples. But copyright protection is not universal, there are many exceptions and limitations. So let's not oversimplify when giving examples.

Ah would say there is more to fashion design than pattern.

Mesh as in Wire Frame Model? then you are talking about more than being able ta use 3rd party textures ie patterns.

Which is eets?, clarify.

Clarify?

Ok. I'll take one current example. Women's boots.  Yes, the mesh that we can color to make other boots. Following me?

I mean, we can change colors - right?

The thigh high boots are a good mesh - right?

Those boots alone, with a leopard skin print can be everything from leopard print boot  skisn boots..to  just above the ankle - if we couple make up the leg invisible - right?.     I'm not arguing that more meshes are needed, I'm simply being pragmatic and thinking in terms of what is.

Men's t shirt?

Unlimited.

ok lemme give my 2 cents since i play both Sl n 3dx

So from my experience since i dj in second life n also worked as an escort .

i have explore i could say 75% of the sl world .

i also bring ppl from sl here to 3dxchat.

It seems many ppl that play sl are for the social part n the activities they can do there they realy think they have a second chance in life etc n they play it as such .

i have talked to many ppl try bring them here n some said 3dx is just a sex game tho i told them  n believe 3dx is a sex social game cause u can do both but with way better graphics for maximum experience .

many ppl in sl like to travel the sea with yachts, yachts there u can drive them in the sea they are not static .

many ppl in the sex side on sl are there cause of of the cheap live cams ^^ in comparison to a cam sex real site

so many girls there are pro escorts meaning they do live cam stuff in many of those cam sites .

many club owners live in sl their dream to have their own club buisness as their club there are open even if they log out n thewy have ppl manage their clubs with shifts

ofc many ppl in sl create content from mesh bodies from clothes  huds u name it but 3dxchat is still ahead graphics  n UI wise

my conclusion since i play both games is that 3dxchat needs more updates needs also more social content so ppl can do different stuff .

example make yachts that sail in sea so ppl can drive them in the sea many ppl will love this moving/sail yacht thing

pose editor n cloth editor will also skyrocket 3dx

i agree that if users create content it will bring many ppl in game and with this graphics all other games will surely fall bk and 3dxchat will be the leading game.

I know a hell of a lot more than you think. Maybe even as much as you. But you are right. There is no point in continuing if you just want people to believe what you are saying simply because you say it.

No.

As for the rest... Well. It is what it is. :)

I know Copyright Laws and even contacted them about this game and guess what, we have no entitlement to anything as we own nothing in this game.  When we join we give all that over to them. ;)  You might want to read the rules of the whole site both forum and game.

You might learn something about that if you do.   IMVU, SL, Utherverse, AChat and so on use great caution because of DMCAs and have a team to handle that.  Here doesn't and from what has been stated before won't.

It isn't my responsibility to figure it all out cause i'm not being paid too.  That's the point, it's the Devs decision to make and they haven't gone in that direction and more than likely won't be like every other game out there.

People would love to have more for their avis to look different but the way the game is we get what they give.

That's what I've been saying.

Please.

You obviously don;t know....  No point in continuing - is there really? .

Seems you think you do and yet you continue to try to correct others thinking they don't have a clue.

Ah would say there is more to fashion design than pattern.

Mesh as in Wire Frame Model? then you are talking about more than being able ta use 3rd party textures ie patterns.

Which is eets?, clarify.

It seems to bounce around from meshes to textures but nothing is that simple.

Clarify?

Unlimited.

The problem is as you have suggested "Google "Free Use" and there you go but you can't because it has a Copyright attached to it and most won't allow it for anything but personal use.  If you're using it for anything else you may as well create your own because you have to change it from what it is to something entirely different by so much to be able to use it that it's pointless to even use the mage.

I know a hell of a lot more than you think. Maybe even as much as you. But you are right. There is no point in continuing if you just want people to believe what you are saying simply because you say it.

You said it Sage.

Was anyone interested n what you had to say?

No.

Same could be said for you, yet you give your opinion as well, that's the point of a forum.

Hey! We've have something in common, then.

Point well made.
