Advertisement in any form, sucks.
With that said, I'm not surprised we have ads on 3DX and I suspect that *most* of us have become immune to them, just like the other 1000's of ads we see daily.
Conclusion: Ads suck, and they don't work in getting more people to your room. They do work in disrupting the flow of conversation in a lobby, designated to chat.
I for one don't need an advertisement to teach me how to click "select location" to scroll down a small list. It's not like there are 1000's of rooms to choose from.

Whatever the reasons are behind the bans at least they are applying them across the board, nobody should be immune.
There are no 'celebrities' in here, doesn't matter whether you have 2 friends or 10,000, whether you have been here 1 day or 6 years, everybody is just a user and should be treated the same way.
I must say it amuses me that people are actually 'demanding' answers, asking is one thing but seriously none of us are in a position to demand a thing.

It happens to the best of us, I am also currently "banned" for saying the forbidden word by accident. I lasted about 5 minutes from the time the servers were back up, whoops!
Write in to support, they are very helpful. Hopefully with the server being down, there won't be too many support tickets for them to go through and we'll be back online tomorrow.
There really should be a warning, or something- not instant ban / your application closes. Good luck!

Actually DDOS attack is over and this is not necessarily can be the game problem. It seems that in your case your ISP may have some troubles. Your PC doesn't connect directly to the game server, but all requests that you send are processed and routed by your Internet Service Provider. And the route can run via many different nodes of the net. If some of these nodes have problems - your connection with certain services or sites can be quite unstable.
If you use VPN - you use VPN service routes to reach required site/server and thus avoid the problematic route nodes of your ISP.
Since you are able to connect and play normally to the game via VPN, this is looks like your ISP has problems with connection routing, but not game server.
So, in your case you can only wait a few days and see if situation changes for you. Usually it takes up to 72 hours for ISP to recognize and deal with the bad route, depending on ISP, of course. 

I have to agree with the above comments and concerns. Putting aside that Rob guy, who doesn't understand the meaning behind online reputation, friends and connections. I think this is serious and that the developers must take serious look into this and advance to better security.
One of the fast solutions would be to put 2FA security. 
As far for the others who think that this is not serious, as a Developer and as a coder, I can assure that this is very serious. I am sure that most of you don't understand how security protocols work, or how breachable the data can be if your password is unencrypted. Anyone, who might have access to your computer can catch this data and use it on another websites. Thank god, I am not using common password here. But for others who might be using their usual password or anything among those lines, well this is really serious. 
I wouldn't raise the matter if it wasn't important. So I do request the Developers to take it under serious consideration. Or it will be repeat of the DDoS attacks all over again. When something is not secured well, it will only lead to problems and hackers will be aiming for that. I do recommend hiring Cyber Security specialist and developer for fixes. So you can secure your game and your forums from Hackers to the best point possible.

Guys, we're still under attack. We managed to keep the forum stable, but the main game server is still unavailable. We have taken a number of protective steps and continue our work to bring you back into the game. This is our main goal.

The script kiddies with their botnets are at it again. Definition of a wanna be hacker.
Anyways, can someone other than Alivia (someone who is staff perhaps) explain to us what, if anything, has been done to prevent the server from going down in the future?
- Is it a single point of failure? (I hope not lol)
- What redundancy, if any, is in place?
- Have you thought about, or are currently load balancing traffic between multiple servers? A simple fail-over can be setup to load balance between the online server, and a backup server.
- Who is your service provider? Do they offer DDoS protection? What was the size of the attack. Find a provider who can absorb it large attacks without just shutting down your server.
- It looks like you at least use CloudFlare, for the website.
- Maybe invest in something like https://constellix.com/ for load balancing

DDoS attacks could be compared to an earthquake. You may have an earthquake-proof built city, it doesn't prevent from material damages.
Your subscribing money isn't going 100% into cyber defenses protocol.
Handling an urgent situation requires time.
You aren't playing because someone planified an attack which means, "they" may have knowledge and a great understanding of their target. They are hitting in a breach. There is no perfect defenses.

As a business owner, access to the product you sell is key.  In this time of self isolation and stay at home orders, this is a perfect time for this sort of product to thrive.  Its too bad outages like this happen.  Consumers are an impatient bunch!  Even I went and checked a competing product.  I was mildly disappointed.  3DX is a lot more intuitive and a better chat experience.  I hope server stability is at the top of To Do List for the staff.  I don't want to go elsewhere!
