Diana Prince reacted to HazyRays in Host Kickings, Reportings, Bans, and Trolls
Currently if you are hosting and you have someone in your room you don't want there, for whatever reason, good or bad, you can Ignore them, Clear and Close your room and then re-open it and that person on that Avi will not be able to re-enter it.
A 'Boot from room' option would not give a host any more power than they already possess, it would just make the above process quicker, simpler and less inconvenient for everyone else in the room.

Even if 3DXC is behind a paywall, some people earn so much money that these costs would be peanuts for them.
And yes, you have the right to enter 3DXC when you pay and subscribe. But that doesn't give you the right to enter every room and don't follow the rules of this specific room.
If the room owner has "no colds" or "women / men only" rules and you don't follow them, even your subscription doesn't allow you to stay in this room then.
We had this case with a popular "videographer / photographer", who we told before that he is not wanted at our all-women event. He came nonetheless, got very agressive when he was asked to leave and whined about it even half a year later.
It would have been SO much easier to handle if there had been a "kick" button.

Diana Prince reacted to Leopardus in Random Room order
When a user interface design appears to be a fault and fails to meet the needs of the user (which in my case is always going to be me)...it's poor user interface design.
It's not laziness that is the problem, it just the pure irritation of it all. It makes me feel like "Arrrgghh gggrrrrr!" every time I use the list.

Diana Prince reacted to Anaganda in Donate feature: Cons and Pros.
mmmhm... which is why I still believe that this donation idea is one of the worst ideas ever and that it should be scrapped and thrown to the trash where it belongs.
stuffing money and finances in a whole side of the community that was based around sharing and good will... will just lead to ruining it.

Diana Prince reacted to Alliehotass in Donate feature: Cons and Pros.
Youre going to end up with a bunch of user sites all selling tha same rooms and props they managed to snag for free.
And why do you peeps think you require a "Donation" for recognition anyway? I would think personal ethics would prevent anyone who merely threw a bunch or D/Led props made by someone else into a Room made by someone else, to consider putting a Donate button on that room.... For recognition of what exactly LOL? Anyone who did that should do a self check because now youre simply being greaaasey.
If ah was a Downloader of other peeps builds tha last thing id be thinking about would be sticking on a Donation button, eets like reselling a bowl of soup from a soup kitchen. 🤣

Diana Prince reacted to Fyrefly in Donate feature: Cons and Pros.
Thanks, THX...I guess the stumbling block that I'm running into is how ownership was actually managed and proven in 3DX pre-donation vs post-donation. I'll cop to using one of Amy LaRouche's places as my personal home, and filling it with a bunch of objects from other designers. If I give my modified file to a friend, without any kind of compensation, just passing on the combo of items I mixed up, am I in violation of the shared agreement? Does Amy have a right to say "Don't do that please."?
Now add to that scenario when it's a public space or open use environment...club, coffee shop, BDSM Family Fun Center, whatever. If I throw up the donation tab, with the intention that I want folks to recognize all the hard work I did putting all those elements together into a cool space, am I in violation of any agreement, shared or otherwise? Do any of the designers have a right to the few dollars I earn, assuming they have a way to prove that the elements I'm using were created by them before they were ever created or used by me? If that's the case, we're suddenly talking a radical reworking of the End User agreement as it stands now and needing some solid guidelines in place for how to document everything.
Messy doesn't begin to cover it...

you can change it by pressing "p". But only one or two points are possible, you can't choose it freely.

There seems something very emotive and judgmental about the terms alpha and beta lol.
Guys, please form two lines. This line over here for anyone that always wanted an "alpha" penis, and this line over here for everyone that always wanted a "beta" penis.
Alpha Line: 🧍♂️🧍♂️🧍♂️🧍♂️🧍♂️🧍♂️🧍♂️🧍♂️🧍♂️🧍♂️🧍♂️🧍♂️🧍♂️🧍♂️🧍♂️🧍♂️🧍♂️🧍♂️🧍♂️🧍♂️🧍♂️🧍♂️🧍♀️🧍♂️🧍♂️🧍♂️🧍♂️🧍♂️🧍♂️🧍♂️🧍♂️👨🦽🧍♂️🧍♂️🧍♂️🧍♂️🧍♂️🧍♂️🧍♂️🧍♂️🧍♂️

Diana Prince reacted to MNF Lady in Room sort and search?
There is no doubt that the new room order is not very popular. I can see the logic behind it as it offers some limited opportunity to small rooms to compete with large and crowded rooms as now everyone needs to promote the room to get to the top, not just be at the top because the room is crowded. However, we still see the same rooms that were full still full and the same rooms that were small remain small. So I don't think the effect has been achieved, and whoever I spoke to or heard in public chat doesn't like the new room order.
So how about a feature that users can sort the rooms using their own criteria (like size, alphabetically by name or by owner) and also search the room? That might diminish the need to promote the room for XGold, but promoting can be adjusted such that it either shows promoted rooms in different colors for some time period or it places the promoted room in a separate section.

It can't be THAT hard to code a sort function with buttons above the column, so that we can sort by number of people, name of the room, name of the host.
And when they are at it, they could add a similiar function to the friends list, too.

Amen to that! Often I have looked at the new list, seen maybe 2 or three rooms that caught my eye, visited one for a short while to take a look at it, then have to spend ages finding the others in the list again because it seem to have changed dramatically.
Personally it matters not one bit to me how long a room has been opened or that someone has decided to promote a room to the top of the list for what ever reason THEY have. Both these things interfere with my main way of choosing which room to visit (which in my case is generally by how many people are in it). I would like the ability to choose for myself what sequence the rooms are listed in, not have someone else decide for me. The list is there on MY screen for MY use, so the priority for ME is that the list serves MY convenience not someone else's! At the moment I have the inconvenience of having to browse past loads of essentially almost empty rooms.

The new room list is totally fucked up ... it takes an eternity to find the room, you are looking for ...

Diana Prince reacted to Twiggy in Patch 422 and buying gold for users
So if someone created a room and called it child molesting adventures or child rape you would be fine with that to? I doubt you or anyone else would. Yet the same could be said for them to, it is only role play, no children are actually being molested or raped. So my question to you is where is the difference, why is it that one evil is accepted as not acceptable and the other is ok when both are really the same. It is a line you choose to draw, if it involves children then pretty much everyone agrees it can't be allowed. Children are vulnerable and innocent and it is easy to determine the wrong. But so are women who are raped vulnerable and innocent, and that is what needs to be recognised. By recognising that child rape or molestation rooms should not be allowed because you find it wrong and vulgar to even fantasise about it, but then saying it is ok for rape rooms you are then not recognising rape with the same respect. You are not seeing people who fantasise about rape in the same way which means you are not putting enough meaning to what it means to a woman to be raped. The word itself is not what use to have me thinking I shouldn't be playing this game. It was when ever I saw one opened it would always have so many people in that room. That would have me thinking there are far to many people in this game that put far to little to the meaning of rape. Far to many people that have rape fantasies. Seeing that was what use to hurt and have me logging out.

Diana Prince reacted to JackPine in Patch 422 and buying gold for users
Yes, this is a place for fantasies and sex. With others, consensual sex with others. With real living, breathing fellow humans that are behind each avatar. Many of who have been touched by rape outside the confines of the game. All I want is an understanding that rape is not a fantasy of the victims of rape. A victim of rape did not engage in sex, let alone consensual sex. Rape is a form of terrible violence against a fellow human being. No debate here will change that meaning to us victims of rape. This is what us victims of rape see.
If this the case, a room on 3dx should not be named rape, because what is happening in that room is consensual and is not rape. All it is doing is reopening the scars of so many us, and saddens at least me, that some take the term so lightly.
Peace

It would bother me, too. I was thinking about releasing our New York City room for free on Modz or 3DXshare, but now I probably won't.
I don't have problems with sharing my stuff with others, but I have problems with others now having the chance to make money with (part of) my builds that were intended to be free.

Diana Prince reacted to Derai in Room Name Filter
I used the Automatic Ban system as an example in my opening post.
Because it shows that the 3DX server Is capable of scanning and responding to specific words and such.
And as GottaGo posted above, there are ways to Code this idea.
It is possible to do.
And in my opinion would prevent a lot of drama.
Not to mention save the Devs a Lot of work in the future.
No more Riots in World Chat and hundreds of Reports to Lisa and Gizmo due to a room with an offensive name.
If they simply cannot open with that name.
-
Diana Prince got a reaction from Derai in Room Name Filter
that would make sense, @Derai. An automatic ban would make matters worse, but if you just can't open the room, that would work.

That exactly is the problem I can see 3DXC will have with this new system.
Take our New York room for example. Libussa made the Marshmallow Man and the Avengers jet for us. And I downloaded a Time Square room and used it.
So how could I sell this room? Others made parts of it for free and I would sell it? That would be against my ethical values.
