That's not the choice that is offered.

Does anyone here really think the devs are suddenly going to start cranking out new poses?  If you do ... can I please have some of what you're smoking?

There are two possible options here:

    1)  A pose editor (and many user-created poses); or
    2)  No pose editor and we continue forever with the poses we have now.

    Those are our choices.

People voting against a pose editor:  do you have any idea how long people have been BEGGING for FFF?  All that begging ... and it hasn't happened.

A vote against a pose editor is a vote for the status quo.  The status quo of nothing.  No new poses.

I was on the fence for awhile; because, the downsides of pose edit shouldn't be ignored.

Nevertheless, In the end, I voted yes.

If your still on the fence, perhaps my though will help.
I decided to count the poses of another "virtual 3D adult game", ( NO, I wont say which.......)

They have around 159 main poses,  and each pose has an average of 14 "action" poses within each pose ( ie... kiss, lick, suck, slap...etc...etc.). All animated, all the time, every time.

So.... just a rough estimate is around "2,226" pose possibilities.........
I'll admit, my math might be off, but even half that many is still 1,113 pose possibilities......
Or even half that, (1/4 of rough) is a whopping  556 ....... ishhhhhh.......
Lets keep going and say half of a half of a half (1/8 of rough) is as little as 278  possible pose combinations.
And below that, (which seems ridiculous) is 1/16 of a rough estimate, still gives us 139 poses.

3DX only offers around "63" poses.

So were left to describe, what we want to do to each other, rather than just acting on our intentions.
If we are descriptive about anything, it should only be how we make each other feel in the moment!

Even making something so simple as more natural idle poses would make 3dx so much more immersive.  Kind of like this:

That's rather kewl. Looks easier than Blender.

If they made a clothing editor, I'd think the one in use for 4 years now in Curio (which is also Unity 5) is a good comparison and something to consider..

The 'Clothing Editor' there isn't a mesh creator to create meshes like it seems the above is (which is really kewl if we could actually create meshes), but more just a texturing, skinning creator.  You pick from different clothes the Devs have added and you add textures to them.

For those who don't know what I mean, it can be as simple as just uploading a texture from your computer and slapping it on the mesh, or it can become far more complicated which leads to VERY good clothing.

Example: Say the men's T-shirt we have already could be edited. Well, we kinda already ahve an editor. We can add different colors to it right? But say you could upload a texture like.this..

With a click of a button - you get this.

So a clothing editor can be very simple.

On the other hand, if you want the REALLY good stuff,  For example....

We are going to need clothing meshes like this from the Dev's added to our clothing editor, and the more powerful things in a clothing editor to do transparencies, shine, metallic, bump maps etc.

They could make an editor that is easy and advanced which my friends would be the best fo both worlds.

Custom Avatar skins could be made and no more kissing cousins looks.
    Tatoos
    Sheer clothing
    Jewelry

(just need the meshes and a good editor to add great textures and effects.

Perimede, the typical way to do animations is to do one static pose, then do another static pose, and let the tool create the animation frames between them.  The more poses you do, the better the animation.  But if you WANT a static pose without animation, it will almost definitely be possible to do one. Either you'd just do one pose and call it done, or if the tool required multiple poses, you'd just do the same pose multiple times.

I think you'll fined that small, subtle animations are still better than completely static poses, but I'm pretty sure that you'll be able to do static poses if you want.

While the rooms and walls are not that big a deal, all those props would help so much with performance.

Maybe we could get more things for editor like premade build modules like walls with holes for windows or door frames that made up of only one object, notice if we try make more detailed things the memory usage ramp up almost as badly as building if object furnitures, don't know if was just unlucky case but did comparison with some things I made some custom things took up more memory than other stuff.

Also maybe sinks, could be classic standing sinks and separate ones with module with hole matching, to go toilet as object instead of us building our own would help reduce object count and memory spend on it. Also premade doors and such probably help reduce amount of things we make custom of several components which seem to take up memory.

Just to make comparisons custom bed side tables I made with modern look had 14-16 components, two of those and each side along with bed took up more memory than premade objects couch, plant and table plus custom bed like to set it in perspective.

We have already installed a workaround while we are working on a big server improvement. You have already seen the Queue during logon. This is necessary for load balancing.
Also we have a server availability monitoring service. These measures should help us restore the server in 30-60 minutes if down occurred.

We want to achieve uninterrupted server operation after a big update.

Right!  Forget the pose editor.  It's a bad idea!  Horrible!  Wrong!  It's stupid and bad to have players creating poses.  I mean ... look at what a complete failure the World Editor has been.  All those new rooms are unprofessional and creepy.  I've had to iggy 9348034958305985 new room creators in the last two days.  We don't want a repeat of THAT, do we?  Plus, people are SELLING rooms created with the World Editor!  Tonight had to pay $249.99 in Swiss Francs just to get into a player-created 'medium-sized-cock-but-it's-really-about-how-you-use-it' room.  As we all know, the new World Editor has created a microeconomy that has RUINED 3dx.   I changed my vote to 'no' on the World Editor too, by the way.

So if you let players create poses, they will sell those too!  It will cost THOUSANDS to buy a boobie-kissing pose!  I've seen the future with the Pose Editor and it was a Hellish apocalyptic nightmare where the living envied the dead.  Plus, it was only like 20 FPS and it was really jagged and stutter-ey.  Not smooth at all.

Yeah ... so WE ALL HATE THE NEW WORLD EDITOR!  DON'T WE?  DON'T WE?  .... Don't we?

Well ... I can say (without any exaggeration or hyperbole whatsoever) that the Pose Editor--if it is created--will be a million trillion gabillion times worse than the World Editor, plus Smallpox, the Black Death, AIDS, and antibiotic-resistant gonorrhea, all put together.  Times ten

I think CowboyBob is on the right track.  His plan to get new poses is the RIGHT one!

Let's just the devs do it!

The dearth of new poses for the last year or two GUARANTEES that we will have DOZENS of new poses this year!  Right?  Right?  I mean USE YOUR BRAIN!  It's SO OBVIOUS!

But I have a FOOLPROOF plan to speed things along:  Tomorrow at midnight GMT let's all join hands ... in a big circle ... and all of us at the same time ... some of us will have candles ... and we'll all close our eyes and we'll all simultaneously wish REALLY REALLY REALLY REALLY REALLY HARD for new poses.  The problem over the last few years ... was that we just didn't WISH HARD enough!  I'm SURE my plan ... to wish ... for CowboyBob's plan ... to come true ...    will work!  How can it not?  It's common sense, sheeple!  That's why I changed my vote on the Pose Editor to 'no' along with CowboyBob.

If you think about it rationally ... like CowboyBob and I have ... it's clear that the devs are going to start cranking out those poses any day now.  I'm sure they will hire that "in-house programmer who is dedicated to poses" any second!  In fact, he's probably already BEEN hired!  I bet his name is Gordon.  I wonder if he likes to be called Gordo?  Hiii, Gordo!!!      Maybe Gordo has new poses all ready for uploading tomorrow!  MAYBE GORDO ALREADY UPLOADED A BUNCH OF NEW POSES!

SO WE DON'T NEED NO STINKING POSE EDITOR!   WE HAVE GORDO!  You 85% that voted for the pose editor ... I bet you're feeling really silly now aren't you?  Aren't you?  Hahaha!  (that was me laughing at you 85% 'yes' voters)

/me runs off to log in and see all the new poses ... especially the brand new FFF.

I am totally on board with the idea of a pose editor. But I believe that there should be safeguards before any player-created pose is adopted widely.

There are poses that could be created ... that could be toxic to other players.  Consider how the game could be damaged with the following:   [TRIGGER WARNING]
A pose where a player slugs another with a fist, or kicks another player, or stomps a player's head. A pose where a player strangles another. A Nazi salute: some asshole will undoubtedly create a "pose" where the players Sieg Heil each other.  A player posing as if to shit on another. A hair-pulling, ass-slapping pose.  That might be welcome to someone (like myself) that is into BDSM, but it could be very hurtful to someone that isn't into it. I can think of a lot of bondage poses that would be disturbing to someone not into bondage. A player miming shooting another player, with the 'victim' falling to the floor and twitching in death throes. There are people out there that are into necrophilia.   I'm sorry to be so graphic here, but I'm trying to illustrate how horribly a pose editor could be abused.  We cannot allow this kind of stuff in game.  So if we are to have a pose editor, what's the solution?  Well, I can think of two approaches:

First, maybe before a player-created pose is adopted and available to the community at large--it should be approved by the devs.  Actually, to help the devs' workload, I think a better approach would be to have dev-selected player-moderators review and approve (or not) player-created poses before they become widely available.

Alternately, maybe the game user-interface could be modified to add a preview of a pose.  Then you could see an animation of a pose on a thumbnail before deciding whether to click 'accept'.  Actually?  There probably should be a thumbnail animation no matter what.

Another thought:  BDSM poses should be flagged so that people who aren't into it don't mistakenly accept a pose that could be disturbing and / or traumatic to them.

Yeah.  So as much as I want to see a pose editor in 3dx; I don't want it to end up destroying the game.

    Ugh.  This again?

"Human sensor"?  What does that even mean?  Do you think the devs hire porn actors and scan their sex movements in a laser-equipped studio to make a 3d digital map that they upload into a supercomputer?     Somehow I doubt that.  Unity has an animator component.

And how do you know what the new hypothetical pose editor can and can't do.  It doesn't even exist yet.  Are you from the future?  If so, can you please PM me some upcoming winning lottery numbers?

What you're saying (once again) directly contradicts what Goose says.  Maybe someone with actual knowledge (like THX) can opine what is possible or impossible.
