    To skip from the top to the bottom may take 3-5 seconds but to actually read through each one to find the one you want takes wayyy longer.
    And the number of times I read through the list (94 rooms open right now) to find the one I want, only to get to the bottom without seeing it and having to start right from the top again.....  ok that might just be me but it's unnecessarily frustrating nonetheless and could and should be made easier with some sort of filter system.
    Here's hoping.

    @ColinDude I really like the text box narratives you have added on the server status page.  Really useful.
    Seeing those really that makes me think how SexGameDevil should be providing and maintaining exactly what you have created.  I want to say thank you again for your commitment to the user community and sincerely hope you are not disrupting your life unduly on all of our behalfs to provide a service that SGD should be providing.

    Hello everybody, it's my first post, so please be patient with my english 😅
    Why, Lisa, you said "doesn't display the real situation"? If the tool ping the IP address of the server and no answer returns back... how can be the game server status different from "OFFLINE"? 🙄
    (I'm just trying to understand...no meaning of flame).

    I can also confirm that 3DX now isn't being blocked / deleted anymore by Kaspersky...

    I also ran into this issue yesterday and found out that I could actually reduce the exclusions for 3DX even a bit more.
    As I don't have any English interface either here where I changed what:
    Kaspersky => Cogwheel (lower left corner) => Enhanced (last left menu item) => Threats and Exclusions => Specify Trusted Applications ==> Add 3DXChat.exe with "Do not monitor application activity" settings only
    Kaspersky => Cogwheel (lower left corner) => Protection (2nd left menu item) ==> Web-Anti-Virus ==> Enhanced Settings (at the bottom) ==> Configure Trusted Webpages ==> Add "http://3dxchat.com"
    With those settings 3DX works again for me.
    I agree with @chloe - if somebody could really be so kind and raise this with Kaspersky it would be great. I currently don't have the time for doing this at all, but would be very grateful if someone else could do and let us know the outcome...
    EDIT: Didn't notice that @ColinDude did raise that already - thanks a lot for doing so!
     
    @chloe - I don't think raising the endless discussion about snake oil or not is leading anywhere. There are good reasons for both point of views.

    You're missing the point. The information is public already.  If I could get it, ANYONE can get it. It's extremely easy to monitor 3dxchat to see what IP addresses it connects to.

    Was it DDoS from the beginning? Or it's just an excuse? Or what is happening?

    Remember? Some cheered for this one and then Build 419 came: "Bugfixes and stability update."
    Where did we end? Still DC and another Sunday without a game:
    Now it is crashed on Discord it reads "maintenance"
     
      First an unscheduled maintenance after a stability update und now it suddenly is a crash? Seems somebody is really bad in English or simply incompetent and lazy: Again no really support on the weekend.
    So here is the roadmap and timeline I expect to be followed:
    Massive game time reward for every day with disconnects: Every day with disconnects is to be added to all user's game time. Not per entering a mail address but automatically! Fix of Server issues and dislocation of avatars within the coming week Monday to Friday. Announced features like pose editor and customizable clothes/hairstyles are to be released by end of July. Announced feature of moderated user worlds is to released by next week Monday to Friday along with the fixes.
    But well okay, you 3DX supporters may stay happy have understanding. It all needs time and can happen. Stay not seeing SexGameDevil already had a lot of time and the only result is things have turned worse. This is what happens when you cheer for every announcement instead for results: SexGameDevil has no reason to really pressure on things but can stay lazy and just take our money.   It's not a myth: We actually can see it, it is right about to happen now: We have not only the DC issue but instead the server is crashed after a so called bug fix and stability update, the short DC before this update now seem to have been heaven. For me it looks like 3DXChat is sinking because SexGameDevil is lazy, too chintzy for getting professional help and incompetent on its own. Time for the band to play "Nearer my God to Thee".
    Build 419 is really a stability update regarding it is guaranteed we get more downtime and malfunctions every day for our money.

    This is an open letter to the dev team. I believe @Gizmo is the head programmer.

    First, I work professionally in Unity Engine and I think 3DX is impressive. Good job on the game and it has lots of cool features. 
    I am a programmer, and I imagine there are a dozen others playing the game as well. A lot of us are tech literate and will understand if we're told the specifics of your server problem. We can probably help parse it into layman's terms if PR isn't your strength (brief jokes from the Art Lead aren't quite enough). Even if the problem is simply poor planning and unanticipated volume, people will understand as long as there is an end in sight. But we need details and better communication.
    This is my list of questions:
    How big is your team? How many full-time programmers, artists, and designers are working on the game? Are your servers and architecture your own or are you using a third-party solution such as Photon? Is the problem based on capacity of the servers (quantity) or is it a quality issue with the programming? What is the specific problem? What is the specific new solution? Can the new solution be implemented immediately? if not, tell us why not. (for example, increased third-party server capacity won't take effect til your next billing cycle) Many of us sympathize with your work and recognize that the team is small, but this is a class A bug at the least. Without connectivity, you do not have a product. We need clear answers and estimates while this is being resolved.
    If your networking was middleware and something you were simply paying for, volume wouldn't be an issue because you could just buy more server space. So I'm assuming you're using something more proprietary and less field tested. If this is the case, do you have a full-time server engineer? If not, I'd recommend you hire one or switch to a middleware solution.

    All them people shouting "i want my money back", "im a customer and i have rights!" but actually staying is kinda funny. Go ahead and leave.
    By the way if "3dx will lose half its customers", then most likely the problem would be fixed for the rest of us. Less people = better working 3dx.

    Sorry for my bad English 😌 
    Development of the new server solution:
    - The new server solution is ready, the servers are running. Closed testing is currently in progress.
    Question: When will public testing begin?
    Answer: As soon as we decide that everything is ready to be tested, we will notify everyone. It may be very soon. Critical bugs may come up, and it will take more time to fix them, so please bare that in mind. Everyone will get access to the test client for free during the testing period. The purpose of the public test: To check the stress tolerance of a new server solution.
    First release:
    - Optimisation of the server and client code. Resistance to load at rush hour.
    - The rooms stay open even if the owner has left the game. Will stay open until the last visitor leaves.
    - Server side random /roll (1-100), /roll1 (1-6) and /roll2 (1-12)
    - Protection of User Worlds.
    Future releases:
    - Moderation of User Worlds.
    Myth: Developers make new media content instead of fixing the bugs!
    - This is not true. The creation of the content involves the artists and animators only. They are not related to the programming department.
    Myth: The project is abandoned. We are sinking.
    - There is no reason to worry 😉 Please do not believe these rumors, as they are just that, rumors. Only Gizmo and Lisa are authorized to make public statements for important information.
    Question: Hackers are hacking the server. Please ban them!
    Answer: Please inform me in PM with evidence of these activities and if server contains a vulnerability.
    Old server situation:
    - The old server crashes once a day. Sometimes more often each day, this depends up on load. It takes time to reboot it. During a server reboot, it is useless to try to log in. You will be disconnected again and again. It is better to take a break for 15 minutes and try again.

    Hi all!
    We performed some manipulations with user experience in order to alleviate the suffering of the players during the "Profile bug". 
    These manipulations also reduced the likelihood of a "Profile bug" as the load on the server decreased.
     
    We are also working on a new server solution.

    Can anybody please be so kind to explain why - and under which conditions - the proposed usage of a VPN would help to ease the issues most of us are facing?
    I have some understanding of what a VPN is, how it basically works and how it's usually being used (establishing connections into a company network, circumvent geo-blocking, privacy aspects) - but I really don't get how a VPN that wouldn't include 3DX as an endpoint could help...
    Why and how would a VPN remediate DC's that seem to affect everybody as we noticed repeatedly lately...?
    Why and how would a VPN help with profile issues...?

    They DID have an attack. They kept us informed. This alone is an improvement from past issues and I, for one, and grateful for that gesture.  They know we pay for the game.  They know we love this game. They read the forums and saw what was being said.  They were not done with the repairs but the game was operational if not perfect so they opened it and let us on it while they continue to work on it. They have given us advice on how to minimize these imperfections as they continue the repair. Lisa has advised future testing of new servers. Again, more information than we have gotten in the past and I am grateful for it.  Perhaps in the future they will just shut down for however long it takes to get new servers up and running and the game at 100% and give no feed back.  After all what difference has their efforts made?

    I wont jump on your throat  As I said, I too wish improvements, and bug fixes, I never said everything is perfect. My post was more adressed to the ones who kinda wish this game to disappear, or whatever else. 
    I dont understand neither why "basic" bugs are not fixed while we keep getting new content. Is it not possible to do? Is it planned and not done yet? They don't know how to do? I have no clue. Only the dev team knows and noone else, and here is the lack of communication people complain about. If they are only 2, I can get why so small communication, since answering everyone here and on discord would already be a full time job 24/7.

    What Lisa suggest is a nosense.
    "A: Try using a VPN to enter the game"
    Why we need to use a vpn, even if free? (anyway free vpn are very limited).
    Also, not everyone know about vpn and how to use it.
    Why not simply fix the game and server issue??

    I think this advice about VPN is more about just giving people at least something. Because customers expect some answers and honest answer probably would be "You going to eat these glitches and lags for a while till we fix our server software, there is nothing we can do about it, you just have to endure it for days/weeks till we finish". And I already see how much people would be mad because of honest answer like this.

    I dont think a VPN helps with the server outages, but as to profiles i know that some countries restrict accesibilty to the game servers, for example i seen some people in the past say, they cant chat without a VPN that "places" them as a user from the US, since their country blocks that connection...Im by no means a tech nerd buta VPN is just a way for players from countries which blocks the connection to parts of the game...
    Hope that helped a bit...Probably not at all xD
     
    But as you said already i doubt a VPN would help with the issues we currently face

    You are perfectly right - but you miss one point: Please define what is "standard".
    To me it's a question of time until peeps might take the effort to give up something they loved - once the alternatives seem to be more attractive (for what reason ever eg. features or simply stability).
    When this point in time arises, when pain gets too much, is another question (and probably very much up to the individual) - but it usually happens after they started to complain....
    The more the "level of noise" should be taken in consideration as well...
    (BTW - calling those fools who believe longer in the potential for improvement isn't truly respectful - but I take for granted it's not meant personally)

    Guys,
    There is a lot of frustration for many due to the current situation and I fully understand everybody who is expressing this here on the forums.
    What I am wondering though is if things is also reported through http://3dxchat.com/support/ ?
    As we can't tell if or when the posts on the forum are being read by the Devs / Support, I'd assume taking the official approach might make most sense to raise awareness properly.
    I just sent this:
    Yes, I know there is no guarantee that this will help any better - but I guess it's the best we can do... - the more do, the better it might...
    Wishing you all a lot of patience and that the problems will get fixed soon...
