    Yeah, would love rain and snow and it would be great if it were like the sparkle effect we have in game now, so you could apply them to any block and control where it is.

    If you couldnt control it, then it would be very limited in its use, as in outdoor/nature rooms is all I can think of?

    Yeah, youre right, we dont want them swapped back as the boarded texture is great for floors and walls, just want them added.

    This is a needed feature regardless of how they would do the sorting/searching.

    And as for the sorting/searching, no matter what you do with it, there will always be something that doesnt fit, or something else not right, but you cant think that way or nothing ever gets done. They just need to find a way to improve it without breaking something. I think categories would be the easiest solution that achieves the goal in more than one way, firstly it will shorten the list sizes a lot, with that in itself making it easier to find rooms as well as being in its own category. 

    This is a bit off topic and just musing really, A possible side effect of categories as certain ones will be a lot more popular than others, is it will make some question themselves and ask why am I opening a room. While that question has always been there, I feel it would be more telling with categories in place.

The best way to deal with this is to load the object/map that you want to merge and depending on where the main part of your room is, move it to somewhere else, for example, if youve built on the waterline, then move the object high into the air, or if youre up in the air, then place the object down near the waterline and save the map and then go back to your room and merge it in.

    If its a small item, then make a big block and colour it or bright pattern and place the item on/near it so it can be found easily when merging, like in this picture I put here.

    While thats true, I would not want to hold my breath waiting. These textures they already access to, the timber ones were in the game before the world builder, you could change the walls and floors of the 2 default apartments with them. I love building stylish timber furniture, have lots of it built in my rooms and they are all crap now because of the seams.

  7. Well its been close to 2 years now since they removed/swapped the seamless wooden textures and the wavy cloth texture, and probably a year since my last post on this, so time for a new one.

    Can the gods of 3DX please look into adding these textures back into the builder? Even just 1 lighter shaded one would be ok as we could tint it darker, anything...

    Also, while on textures, we really need a clean smooth matte texture, I cant believe after all this time we still do not have one.

    The 3rd reply to this post by Yvonny listed this fix for people to try, It didnt work for my windows 7 notebook though, nor did running the exes in admin mode. I ended up copying my already patched complete directory from my computer over to it and it ran fine.

    Considering theres quite a few copyrighted images on the clothing options, and people playing protected music in the rooms every day,  I cant see them being too concerned about that aspect. I think their main concern if they thought about doing it, would be server load if people went silly with it, which you know they would unless limited to x amount of pics/textures at limited KBs per pic/texture. 

    But as with all things 3DX, they dont converse with us about suggestions and ideas very often so we have no idea if these things are on their radar. I feel the best we could hope for would be if they grabbed a huge stack of stock photos/paintings for us to use so they end up as in game items with no extra load, just an ID number. Same with text font items.

    You can do so now, and that is the process that is currently in place, but what gets approved is sticking point. For clothing, their vision for 3DX is that it must be suitable for sex and dancing, though the current dresses do not conform to that ideology on the sex side, so they must be just ignoring those as a mistake, though originally they did disappear when any sex pose was initiated. Still, they are very stubborn about this and their vision for the platform, disregarding anyone else that dont use the platform in the way they envisioned it should be. Heaven forbid anyone wanting a nice gown or dress below the knee... :rolleyes:

    I can attest to that, far too strict for styles, only one dimension allowed. :(

    I cant bring myself to call it a house.  Its just a small box with a bed and lounge.   I deleted it the day World Builder was released. :D

With the world light source, I found this out as I used a huge block up in the sky on my old Scottish back alley pub, and someone asked me why the block was up there in the sky, I said to block the moonlight so this scene was darker, which for me worked as I indented it to but for him it didn't and he argued that it never worked. That made me think what was going on, and after some mucking about found that the lower graphic settings, namely shadows, meant the lighting effects within rooms looked dramatically different depending on your settings.

    As for the local light tools, it would be lovely if the blocks would cut the source, but as mentioned, I cant see it happening. We just have to work around it the best you can, usually by using lots of smaller ones over trying to illuminate an area with only one or two.

    The sound boxes have been suggested before and would be a wonderful addition, having the music become louder as you move closer to the source and other effects depending on the scene would add another layer of awesomeness to the rooms.

I always thought a small city street with the in-game locales having an outside view, so you would have say the night club, then a couple of doors down the sin club and so on, and you could click on the doors to those places and enter/load into them that way as a choice. At the end of the street you could have a small wharf with a couple of boats with signs that when clicked on would take you to the island and boat locales.  So in a way, this room could act as a kind of centralised lobby to all the default in-game locales, but cool enough to be a new usable locale in its own right as well.

    actually it's sad to say but now TOP is kinda useless---you pay 300xgolds to let the room on top for 1 min, after that, no one enters. or just several people enter and afk. ifthere's some way to let the TOP be longer like 10m or even 30m, it will work a lot better.

    Whatever way you want to change it, it will always be unfair to someone. I dont like using absolutes, but in this case, with the system and UI of that page the way it is, it is impossible to make a system that you seek.

    As THX alluded to in his post, an interface redesign away from the current open list format would be the only way you could make it better than it currently is. The difficult part would be how many and what categories would you include as you would have to get that right before building it. While there would still be lists within those categories, they would be much smaller and all visible upon looking in those sections with no scrolling.

    I wouldn't hold my breath for such a system as it somewhat takes xgold out of the picture as no listing would be hidden by the scroll bar, though I suppose there may be some merit in wanting to be on the top, still, theres no doubt it would affect the xgold a lot, and if they make a decent sum from that(we have no idea about that) then may be very reluctant to do something like this.

    1. By-default clothes was disappearing during the pose, so no one was forcing people to do it like this.

    2. Oral sex and spanking was/will be really neat.

    This is correct, nothing was changed or modified , all it did was give an option to click on and off the clothes if you wanted to, just like you can right now with shoes and stuff.

  17. I hear you, but I cannot see a way to change the status-quo. The way I see it is those same masses will vote for their fuck-room, leaving you in the same spot youre in now? No better or worse?

    While this wouldnt fix it either, I truly believe if they had some kind of drop down contextual  button on the room listing that allows for a lot more info so people can list who or if theres a DJ and or Dancers, what type of music being played, rules, etc etc, maybe even a spot for a small photo, so people can get a better idea what the room is before they enter. This would guide people much better than what we have now?
