Dear Devs, please take this community seriously again

I neither want to start a new fight here. Nor do I want to call back that good old times.

 

But I'm really, really missing the game-caring, discussing community here. Since 17 days no new update. A ready-made new location that - in my opinion - is totally uninspired as it is just like Night-Club or Fresco, just in (snowy) western style. No comments from Devs about updates since December and Lisa seems to be disappeared at all.

 

I love this game and I love this community (in a strange and weired way, I guess  ). But all those things about this game seems no longer to be discussed.

 

So, please, Devs. Take this community seriously. Stop annoying those who care about this game and silencing them down by ignorance. All this takes away a bit from the soul of this game and from the core that really made the difference to other competitors.

Think there is a reason why the suggestions made under the various suggestion titles thread are becoming less and less frequently, because developers only listen to half the things said by the users here. Most evidently in latest location inclussion, many did ask for a saloon like location, but devs completely overlooked that there also was a request for some activities or mini games to make each those locations interesting. As is now it's a bit bigger area with some unique look and people and "play" as band there, but there nothing really secial aside from that. It become pretty much just some new aethestic that is very generic and doesn't really offer music new or different to do than rest the existing locations.

 

Why also again bring back to a worry or a issue i tried to bring up on other occasions, that keep making generic zones will just spread out population even more, which eventually at some point going to end making the social aspect suffer for it. Which aside from the sex interaction the virtual world of 3Dxchat other main selling point.

 

So don't really get if developers are either overwhelmed by the request or simply just really stubbornly set on how they want things themselves, but think they should really consider listening more to community and not just half listen or not at all.

 

P.S: If this how all future location will be handled as it's been done so far, i would recommend that developers drop adding locations entirely and focus on making, sex poses, furnitures(decor) and cloth instead. Because game in my opinion doesn't need more generic location that doesn't offer any unique experience or options.

Will hopefully have time to comment more later on but, just had to say how much I agree with this rationally reach out to the Devs in the hopes that they too would see the need to go back to the symbiotic relationship both sides need.

Imagine Gizmo found out that Lisa is actually a guy and now there's some kind of internal drama! delaying updates and all...

Or maybe they are working on something and it's taking a lot of time (I mean, sure as always... the devs lack communication towards their playerbase... but I guess there's nothing that can be done there).

Maybe they are working on bunch of small additions and plan on releasing it all in one bigger update?

 

Long story short: The devs are probably busy doing a lot of stuff... and because they don't communicate, we have no idea what that is... however, that doesn't really mean they don't take the community serious and it doesn't mean they aren't working on something. All it means is that they probably are and just not talking about it.

Unfortunately we can only wish that devs will listen to our suggestions or make frequent and interesting updates more often... However, players like me, who are in 3dx for a while, know that everything is useless. I don't see any point in making suggestions etc since they are always ignored and devs keep being slow. I really wonder if it's that hard to implement new location if you just buy it from some shop 

 

I guess it works only cause there is no alternative on the market where we could migrate.

Usually, I would agree. However, you have to remember that before the holiday's we got some updates and I am going to take a guess and say that the developers had a break over the holiday's as well. I believe the developers are Russian so probably go by the Orthodox calendar, so there probably wasn't any development work carried out the first part of January. If there are any updates, then I am assuming (don't quote me) that we will see the next updates in February or early March.

 

The fact that the developers gave us a new location shows that they are still passionate about taking the game forward. It can be debated whether the Saloon was the right decision. Based on my non-scientific observations, the Saloon seems pretty empty and people on the forum, myself included feel that the Saloon was not needed and is a bit lacklustre.

 

The one thing I would say is, I would like developers to be more transparent. What are they working on? Listen to community requests more. However, even then I think the developers are in a situation where people moan. A new feature comes along, it is fun for about five days, and then people get bored. The developers could develop more clothes, or they could make a marketplace like RLC or Second Life. However, does anybody want the in-game currency to purchase clothes, poses, and apartments? Doing so would create new drama, lose the fantasy, and put new players on an uneven playing field.

 

At the end of the day, the thing that makes the game what it is is the community. I don't see any evidence that development is stagnating and that the developers are abandoning the community.

why should they do more work if you pay the subrscription anyway? they have a game, sometimes they add some stuff and that's all, why would they bother? you are all addicted and won't unsub anyway.

Think part that like i said before has to do with new location doesn't really offer that much new option, it's bit different visual atmopshere without music new interactions as such. Okay it's arguebly that the band thing is new thing where you can doing a band like gig thing. But all in all it's a club where you can dance hear music and sit at tables again.

 

Which part problem i think and probably why some consider it lackluster, would helped if there were an activity there that added something new. Could been bull riding like MNF Club made a sort of strip tease bull riding game. But when it's just a new location with a new look and a band stage how many can you expect to visit, more than a couple times to see new place.

well in all honesty what do you want them to say?  if they post they are working on something then people will ask daily about it and then if its not released when they think it should be they will go nuts and start throwing horse shit rumors out there. if you dont believe me simply search for the 2.0 threads before the beta was released.

thanks for your reply. And yes, there are ALLWAYS people who are annoyed if devs DO something or DON'T DO something. But at least people have been involved in how this game will develop. Now the communities just cares about itself. And - and this is my very personal oppinion - you can feel this attitude in the game as well.

To sort of quote my Gran - 'Is it beyond wit or ken' for the devs to post a list of things they're working together with a proposed timescale for implementation. All they need do then is let us know how things are going every once in a while.

 

The problem isn't that they aren't doing stuff, or that they're ignoring users, it's more that we users don't know what the devs are up to.

Forums changed - more or less forum population changed - random discussions about cat pictures, mini games, pictures forums and such is the main thing here because anything other get axed.

Everyone who ever cared about feedback / making updates to game / helping with the game. Sailed out of here long time ago and you as someone who been here long time seen it all.

 

Wizard makes really good point which is first time in years but I guess times are changing. He is right to a degree though I would say there's lots of different people and game just seems to changed population instead of growing.

 

In the end, lead will do what they want and not me, not forum topic with 100 likes can change or steer the direction of this ship. We all tried many times and at best you can rush update or two before repeating the circle.

 

So just enjoy the ride my friend and company of friends / lovers you have here while it lasts.

Kinda why i feel as if they should drop adding more location and purely focus on sex scenes/poses, cloth and furniture(decor) instead, if they're not really going to make the kind of locations that being asked for in suggestion. They may as well drop wasting resources on making something that only gets mildly used, use that energy on something that will actually be used instead.

 

EDIT: That said i still think it's a shame that they don't really connect well with the user base, i mean look at yacht after they made a revamp with some the request users made it's getting visited a lot more than it was before where it was nearly a dead zone.

The Saloon was the biggest mistake I've seen in the 3 years I've been here. Hence why you have to wonder what the Devs are thinking and who they really care about. Go to the Saloon, there are never more than 15 people in it.

Did you know about the lawsuit that's followed the Rift? How it could possibly deeply effect 3DXChat in terms of not only sales, but it's VR ability and future focus? If not, well surprise, Rift sales are taking dramatic steep plunges along with it's own sale price, ability and compatibility. 3DXChat had a future to create a damn near seamless virtual reality game that men and women could by technicality have sex over the internet. I see the dilemma and reason for elongated time for updates to occur. Somberly radio silence doesn't help any better, it would be nice to know what their plans are to move ahead, or if 3DX has now been terminated and fallen to abandonware. Who knows. But I know you don't care, no one does. Welcome to 3DXChat community.

I've seen the argument "what would the devs communicate?" before and it's never flown with me. There is a ton of stuff they could communicate... e.t.a. Plans, roadmap, delays, vision for the future.

 

No one is asking for daily updates... even something fortnightly would go a long way to ease community feelings... even if it's just to say... we've been delayed by this and this.

 

At the moment we are months from the last update again... without any sign from devs as to what is going on... I don't think it's whining to respectfully start asking... is something... anything happening? We are paying customers and many of us love this place and our friends here. We want to know this place is not being allowed to die. I don't think it's at all unreasonable to be asking these questions.

I agree with you 100% JanaX,

Lots of us tried to encourage communication the last time Lisa did her post where she did let us know what was going on.

I remember thinking hopefully this will keep going, but as we can see it was just wishful thinking.

Can't help but feel we are all not very important to them.

 

Funny how the people that go on about things that are continually asked for in here, when something they are passionate about comes up they will bitch and moan just like everyone else, no matter how old it is.

Not meaning you of coarse, meaning the ones that continually complain about people complaining about things like this.

 

This thread is called please take the community seriously again, and the reason I think it was posted is they make us feel like we are all just numbers.

 

Plus there is 2 devs, one seems to work on the coding and the other animations and clothing, actually that is quite obvious that is the way they do things.

Why is it when the coding takes so long like this, we don't get a heap of new animations and clothing when the update finally comes through.

If that was to happen I think the lengthy waits we keep getting would be a lot easier to tolerate.
