As for the Gold. No it's not economy. Not even close. It's based on the very same concept as many mobile apps for instance. You can play and enjoy things for it's monthly price as is or you can speed things up for convenience with buying points, XP, gold, whatever. It's fair and a well supported concept.

RobT is correct and copyright doesn't come into play here. The minute you load any of your creations into this world you give up any right you may have had to it being yours only to use. When you clicked the little I agree box you did that. 

 

I think the biggest difference when talking about SL or RLC is that there is an micro economy in those other worlds. Users can copyright their brand or their name or their textures and use it in commerce of sorts.

Any legal suit, action or proceeding arising out of, or relating to this Agreement, shall be commenced in a court in Los Angeles County, California, and the User hereto irrevocably submits to the personal and exclusive jurisdiction and venue of any such court in any such suit, action or proceeding and waives any right which it may have to transfer or change the venue of any such suit, action or proceeding.

 

9. EQUITABLE REMEDIES. The User agrees that if the terms and conditions of this Agreement are not specifically enforced, the Company shall be irreparably damaged, and therefore you agree that the Company shall be entitled, without bond, other security, or proof of damages, to appropriate equitable remedies with respect to your breach of any of the provisions of this agreement. If any legal action or proceeding is brought for the enforcement of this Agreement or arises from the alleged breach, dispute, default or misrepresentation in connection with any of the provisions of this Agreement, or if any legal action is brought against the Company in any way, if the Company is to prevail, the Company shall be entitled to recover from the losing party reasonable attorney’s fees and other costs incurred as a result of such legal action or proceeding.

 

10. LAW ENFORCEMENT. The User certifies that he/she is not a city, county, state or official federal law enforcement officer, foreign official, or inspector for any postal service.

 

11. ENTRAPMENT. The User certifies that he/she is not ordering this Product for the purpose of entrapment, and is not ordering this Product as evidence for the prosecution of, or harassment of any individual or organization.

7. Cancellation

3 Names (Players and Rooms), Avatars, Images/Video, Signatures & Room logos

 

Certain content for names, avatars, images/video, signatures & clan logos, have no place on the 3DXCHAT forums or within the 3DXCHAT game, due to their extremely offensive, annoying or inappropriate nature. The following list is only a summary, but it gives some idea of names, images, signatures, avatars and clan logos which are not accepted with the 3DXCHAT environment:

3.01 that contain profanity, including its abbreviated form.

3.02 that contain insults, personal attacks, abuse or harassment.

3.03 that contain unprintable words or abbreviations, or which are unattractive and/or unreadable.

3.04 which either in whole or partly contain copyrighted or registered trade mark elements.  - This refers to the outside use of Copyrighted/Trademarked items/names and such like Starbucks, McDonald's and so on.

3.05 which have (in any way) racist or nationalistic implications which may create offense to a certain nation, ethnic, religious or racial group.

3.06 that contain an allusion of racial or national supremacy, as well as discriminative propaganda on any level.

3.07 which contain insults or derogatory comments based on race, nationality, religion, culture, mental stature, sex, or sexual preference

3.08 which have an association with pedophilia, sexual abuse; or have an offensive connection to the human body or bodily functions.

3.09 which contain content that is otherwise deemed inappropriate.

3.10 which contain excessive gore or violence, or are obscene/vulgar.

3.11 which make reference to addictive or illegal substances or their use, or any other illegal activities.

3.12 that contain Logotypes, symbols, emblems or figures connected in one way or another with organizations, that violate or were violating existing laws and rules; i.e. anything that may provoke strong negative reaction/association or promote national/ethnic/religious hatred. (For example, using different variations of Nazi symbolic, abridgments and signs [88, 14, 420, SS], or similar stylizing [such as, 55] as well as credentials, names and surnames of Nazi leaders.)

3.13 that contain reference to current mainstream religions that may create offense, i.e. names such as God, Jesus, Allah, etc.

3.14 that are connected with negative historical or political personalities, first of all those who are judged by international courts for crimes against humanity, those that generally arouse feelings of suffering or disgust in the majority of people, as well as members of currently existing terrorist organizations;

3.15 that negatively portrays the projects staff, or administration.

3.16 which in any other manner violates the End User License Agreement or local laws.

If names (player or clan), avatars, signatures, images/video, clan logos within the forums or within the game violate these rules the offending account may be changed and/or the accounts may be sanctioned or suspended. Do you DMCA, how to file a DMCA, who to contact at Sex Game Devil to file one at all in there?  I don't.  Do you want to know why?  Sex Game Devil owns the rights to what is made as they provide the tools with which they are created, so while you may make this gorgeous room and someone steals it on you, it's not the responsibility of Sex Game Devil to do anything, it's their choice to.  As it's been pointed out by Gizmo himself you don't want your room stolen don't make it public.  Once it's public people can and will steal it.  While it's not the right way to go about it, he's basically stating you have no rights to complain and that is the solution to the problem.  Stealing rooms is a trashy move for anyone to do.  Don't know how to make a room, ask if someone can or use one of the many rooms that have been made and given out by the person who actually made the room or items.

 

 

SecondLife, IMVU, RLC and so on provide you basics you can use your own textures for this doesn't.  When you get to use your own materials, tools, graphics/texture and such that is when you can claim Copyright as you actually used your own which then and only then can you claim Copyright.  Using tools provided with nothing but your own thoughts does not fall under Copyright.  Morally wrong yes but legally no, you wouldn't stand a chance in court if you went before a judge and claimed Copyright Infringement as you don't own anything in this game and have no legal rights to any part of it.
