I was not going to say anything about this and I have been quiet for a long time, but the fact is that we are all paying customers that deserve to know why we can't have even the most basic functionality of something that we are paying for. This has been going on for over a week now. Even when things are stable, profiles are not loading, which means its difficult to contact friends. The ddos attack statement was a nice distraction but I believe the community would like to know what the issue really is and what, if anything, is being done to fix this issue. 

it seems pretty obvious that the server was not ready for the influx of population. In any case, this should be a top priority, and it's never a good idea to lie or keep your customers in the dark. We are paying for a service that is not being provided on even the most basic level.

When fixing glossy plastic, Could you keep the unintended matt one as it's separate material?

Also the new glossy plastic, turned into matt plastic... I personally like it this way... and we have the old one for the glossy effect...
But on uncool side, all materials that were meant to be glossy are matt now.

Now that the dust of the ddos attack has settled, I have a thing to say about the new patch

First of all, thanks to the dev team for their work..
-New cuddle pose, I love it... thank you @Takisa
-New props and blocks: a lot of them were much needed, the curtains, the cushions and all the sheets... A++ on all of those
-New textures:  this is where the fun ends.
                            while some of them are good, a lot of the others are not and are not on same quality as the rest of the textures.
                            
 +let's start with leather, since it was a material I really personally wanted: resolution is okay so is sharpness... but the texture map's scale is so large that it actually looks like marble not leather.


As I said there are some that are good, like rock ore for example... which I personally can't wait to think of something to use it in
but take a look at these... very bury, low resolution, low sharpness... compare to the old one in the middle, it looks like we are downgrading the game's quality not upgrading it.

@Gizmo @Lisa... Thanks for all the hard work again, but I do hope you read this... and I do hope this is not the beginning of decline in texture quality like what happened 2-3 years ago with clothes and hairs before @Redji & @Manyasha joined in and started making good ones again.

Some of you may have noticed the posting for the grand opening of Synthesis of Sound (SoS) To that end I wanted to take a moment and introduce myself and Synthesis of Sound properly on the forums.
 
I have been around the game for a good bit of time, although I had a long break as a result of a medical issue.  I have been back in 3DX for approximately 4 months, my game name is Vixx and I am the creator and CEO of Synthesis of Sound.  This is really my debut on the forums as I have never really been one to actively participate in topic discussions etc. until this undertaking.  I did some Dj’ing awhile back in the game, and enjoyed it very much as music is a huge passion of mine. In returning I reconnected with the hobby, and a few groups, but unfortunately watched the groups struggle with drama etc.
 
It was at that time that I decided to create my own group but center it on a model of management that had been successful in another online medium with a membership of over 500 which is still going strong today.  The goal was to start with a strong organizational management component and build on that as a serious, professional and dedicated group. A lot of my close friends supported this and have been instrumental in the success of getting the group off the ground.
 
I must give a proper and huge thanks to the membership, and all you do, and continue to do every day to support the group. Additionally, to the Admin’s who put up with me and the ups and downs the environment offers.
 
The Discord group for Synthesis of Sound went live around the beginning of February with a layered system of 9 Admins; 1 CEO, 2 Arbiters, and 6 Quorum supporting 11 Unique Roles and of 21 channels or “forum sections” within the Discord Server. The Charter was written and approved as a code of conduct that supports protection of the membership without hindering good fun and additionally lines out role responsibilities and the operational functions of the group.  Right now we are just under 40 members and growing.  
 
What we are: Synthesis of Sound is a group focused on supporting music in 3DX by creating a learning environment for members to grow in any area that supports 3DX Music by sharing concepts and ideas.  As a result, the group was designed to support broad spectrum of roles.  We have builders, graphic arts designers, DJ’s, Music Composers, Public Relations, and the list goes on.  I know there are other groups out there, and we have no desire to compete with any group, only offer a place to have fun, and learn across many disciplines in conjunction with those groups.
 
Everyone is welcome in the group even if you simply want to follow some of the Dj’s and/or events and nothing more. We simply ask that you follow the charter, which assists in eliminating much of the Drama that can go on in groups such as these.  Things will of course happen from time to time, to me what makes the difference is how leadership handles the issues when they arise.
 
Our Grand Opening will be Sunday March 18th Starting at 11am EST, or 5pm CET in the newly designed Tron Room. Hope to see you there!   If you would like more information on the group or care to join the group, please contact me or one of the other Admin listed below!

I have been exploring this on and off for a couple of years now, and after so many conversations with people and reading so many blogs, I have come to the conclusion that there is simply no right or wrong way, and that it is all so subjective that its impossible for anyone to say whether something someone else is doing is right or wrong. It is all up to the individuals involved to determine what is right/acceptable/desirable and what is not.
One only has to look at the wiki entries for these subjects, the words "may", "often", "sometimes", "can", "might", "usually", are used so regularly throughout the articles its obvious that these are really subjective subjects.
Sharing your own ideas is great though, just as threads like this that Vaughan has been making, it helps people explore what they may not have thought of before, and to try different things and to find ways that may be perfect for your own relationship as it evolves.
 
And Sputnik, if he has you on ignore, there's little point in asking any questions don't you think? And if he doesnt, why not send a private message to find out what you seek?
