It looks like "Save Selected to File" is not working. I have tried to save an individual item off as a file in both versions of the game, and while I am able to save the entire room I cannot save individual items. Was there a bug report somewhere that I missed?

Alivia, I had this issue too. I was using AVG and it kept doing this. I switched to a different program and it works fine now. Try a different Anti-Virus program.

That did it!

OK, here's one for you folks that have been dealing with this software longer than I have:

I use Rochi's mod in the game, and the 64-bit mod. To shield myself from the issues with the patcher colliding with these mods, I have copied the entire 3DXChat folder to a new folder, and modified that version and run from there. So when then patcher starts I can kill it, start the original folder and let it patch that one, and re-copy and re-modify it. And avoid having to reinstall everything each time the patcher runs.

Now, here's the odd part.

When I first installed 3DXChat, I had to deal with the Windows 10 permissions issues in regards to the screenshots not creating files. I don't recall all the particulars, but it was a pain. But, I got it working without having to run as Administrator or anything like that.

Now, when I run from my copied directory, the screenshots aren't working.

I have gone through and matched up all Sharing and Ownership so the two installs are exactly alike, but to no avail. So far, I have not been able to figure out what I am missing.

Has anyone else dealt with this and can point me in the right direction?

And the Friends list sorting is still all buggered up...  the list goes on, creating new bugs instead of fixing existing ones.

What kind of asshole releases a questionable patch on a Friday in the middle of everyone's vacation?

This may seem like a revolutionary idea, but could these patches perhaps be tested before they are released? I do this for a living, and if I had this bad of a track record I'd never work again.

Can't view profiles. I got on today and can't see most profiles. I get a blank window that says "Can't View This Profile" and the Report button, and that's all. I even get this on my own profile. It appears to be intermittent, where I can try several times and sometimes it will work and sometimes it won't.

I tried it both with and without Rochi's mod DLL.

Now, there appear to also be some connection issues, I keep getting the red bar "Connection Lost" as well. They may be related. But I have *never* seen this error screen before.

And if I can't see my profile, I also can't see my friends list.

This is happening to me, too. It's intermittent. I'll try three times on someone and on the third time their profile comes up. Then other times, I can't even see my own profile. It displays nothing but "Can't View This Profile" and the new Report button. No pictures, no profile, nothing.

This makes the game impossible to play without annoying the shit out of everyone involved.

This being screwed up is going to fuck up a lot of relationships.

Just be glad you can save all of your builds and stuff offline. Last year about this time on Chathouse everything disappeared, and their latest backup was over 6 months old.

Awry - Which service are you hosting through? I am using geckohost, and it's set up differently.

With geckohost, you upload all of your media to their server and it plays directly from there, no need for the whole WinAmp bit.

If you are using another service, it likely does play from your machine through WinAmp and broadcast to your room in 3DX. I haven't set that up myself, but I'll help if I can.

If you are in-game, one person I know of that has the broadcast type of set up is Roguee. She runs the Glory Holes and Colds room. She might be able to help you out as well.

So, MeiLing, you are correct. I wasn't connecting the term respawn with the entry point.

It turned out to be the entry point. Apparently, the ocean has to be a certain level below that object. I raised that to a place higher up and it let me raise the ocean level.

Ahhhh, by "respawn" you mean the entry point. Got it. And that was it.

This is not an answer for why it keeps lowering the ocean.

But it keeps changing. Getting lower and lower and lower.

That's my point - the default keeps changing. It gets lower and lower and lower. And won't let me put it back up to where it was.

Why on earth will the ocean not stay put? Every time I lower my world to right above the ocean level, it stays for a while and then the ocean level drops some more. I go to settings, and the default ocean level is now lower and it won't let me raise it again.

This is not a matter of me changing the value. It's the matter of the default changing, the highest value the field will take. It started at 0, then -.5m, then -.7m, now it's -1.0174m.

I totally agree. I'm just making more noise, just like you. The more we talk about this, the more this subject stays on the list for the devs to see.

If they can take the trouble to put in this button, they can take the trouble to simply fix it. Like not loading the music until the room is finished loading.
