Yeah... except it not just the devs that this is inconveniencing. Even if it was, DDOS is illegal and in no way is a proper response to being ignored. The devs have released some very good updates that are fairly consistent. I for one enjoy this game and any lack of replies on the forums doesn't change that.

Mods are always sided with their friends or players they know... at least its what people claim that are not sided with them...
 
I know that from experience as Moderator on the EA-Forums. Also one reason I quit...
 
Moderators usually work free-of-charge as voluntary, because they want to make the community better. But there is always someone not liking what they do, and thoose usually have friends, that dont like it either... and then there is the undecided ones that always take side with the majority and in a glimpse of an eye, a good moderator is turned into the communitys punching bag and all the flaws and bad things of such games are quickly blamed on them.
 
Why? Easy. Its simple to grab a mod because they mostly present and active. Its even more easier to held mods repsonsible for all that goes wrong and what it wrong with a game. A similar thing happened here and this is the result.
 
Just asking for another mod-team wont solve the core-problem. A bad community. Back in the day when I joined the forums was enjoyable. Now is only a dump for garbage and hate. Noone with sane will even try to moderate this living hell of a forums. Even the Administrators come here rarely anymore...
 
That was way different back then. Lisa was chatty, Gizmo was chatty... then some douchebags started to get mean. Now have your cake and eat it to.

Server not working > People complain but keep subbing > No Dev Answers > No compensation > Repeat

As I brought it up to some people close to me, the current situation might be a case of serious lack of oversight in the management of services.
 
I wouldn't be even surprised if the devs don't even know that the game servers are down.
 
Usually when the services are taken down on purpose for maintenance work, patching, whatnot, the Authentication server is also taken down together with it.
Naturally in these cases often a message is also present on the login page about the disruption of services.
 
Now... The Authentication server is up and running, the daily XGold is awarded, so on.... which leads me to the conclusion, that the main game server was not actually taken down by them, but it's down because of a different reason.
The lack of communication might also be a clue that they don't even know what is going on. Of course it really blows my mind that they don't give a fuck if things are running properly, but that might be the case.
Well eventually someone should restart that god forsaken box, to have us enjoy the services we actually pay for.
 
Now I do understand if there is a proper explanation for some issue. I also understand that some services we are ENTITLED TO might be unavailable for some time. But I don't understand the lack of transparency, nor the lack of communication in this case, regardless of the devs personal issues. 
 
I'm not here to "understand" what is going on. I'm not giving the money for explanations, I pay for the results. Yet I am human, and I understand, if there is something to understand. 
I expect the devs to come up with some apology very soon and include in the same announcement their plans to resolve this problem for everybody.

Whatever the servers are down for, it must be pretty serious i'd imagine. As far as I can recall, this is the longest the game has been down in my close to 4 years being here. 

I hope it gets fixed soon. 

Oh well, gives me time to catch up on shows and games with my RL wife.

I know what happened... Gizmo went to Blizzcon and is now sitting at home depressed and weeping over the announcement of Diablo for mobile rather than Diablo 4... so depressed that he doesn't care about anything anymore

Yes, I was hoping for some Country Music themed room, too. We still have Firey and CW's Lounge, at least, but a C/W lounge would of been awesome!!!!
