    Authenticated API == No Room Stealing

    Athene, I'm not familiar with that game, but it sounds like you have to buy the stuff you have in your hotel, so the game probably has protections in place that make it so you have to buy the stuff you use in your place. A hacker could probably get the data about the layout and placement of furniture and stuff, but they probably couldn't use it as their own unless they also hacked the purchase or actually purchased all the items used to create it. It could probably be done but maybe nobody has put the effort in to actually make it happen.

     

    In 3dx, there is no purchasing or unlocking of items we use in rooms. We can create freely using all the items available and as many as we want. That gives builders a lot of freedom, but it makes it easier to steal rooms.

     

    Also, the feature of saving rooms and loading them.. a really nice feature but it definitely made room stealing a whole lot simpler I'm sure. That Habbo game probably doesn't have a feature like this.. to save an entire room to a file and be able to load that file into the room editor. This is probably the feature that opened the gates to room stealing here in 3dx.

     

    I think the best thing for now is for the 3dx community to just agree that room stealing is bad and that we aren't cool with it. If someone steals a room, we should tell them and make sure they know that the community doesn't like that. If they brush it off and don't care, then we announce the room stealer in WC and all the builders or people who care about room stealing can go and put this person on ignore. Maybe even have a running blacklist somewhere of known room stealers.. Idk.

     

    Also, modders should help out by not making it easy or providing tools to steal rooms. Make the room stealers figure it out on their own.. don't give them tools to do it. I only recently heard about this issue. Is this a Pandora thing? Is it giving access to people's saved room files on the server or something? Why did this only just now become a thing? Is one of the DLLs or Pandora or something making it easy for people to do this now?

    I think you should do one sped up like 3 or 4 times faster than that though..

     

    Also, the video gave me an idea.. Couldn't someone make base files with all the walls, floors, ceilings in the exact right place for the old Room 1 & 2 apartments? And then put them somewhere for people to use if they want to import the furniture from an old Room 1 or 2?

    World Editor Ideas

    I thought I'd make a topic to post ideas for new worlds / rooms that could now possibly be built with the new World Editor. I haven't had time to play with the new editor yet, but I'm really excited based on what I've seen on the forums so far. I started to think about ideas of what I might build, and at first my mind was sort of blank. That got me thinking that maybe some talented builders out there might be looking for some new ideas... so post them here! I'll start!

     

    Enchanted Forest - I have wanted this in 3dx for so long. I don't think this one needs specifics.. lots of room for creativity and personal twists!

     

    Spaceship - like, a big one. Like the Millennium Falcon, Starship Enterprise, the Serenity, etc.. Like with cabins and a bridge and stuff! And a dance club too maybe! Either docked in some big docking bay or floating in the middle of space!

     

    Haunted / Spooky Mansion - Like a really good one now.. with a graveyard next to it and a spooky forest... gothic architecture mansion / manor.. maybe a basement / dungeon.. with lots of mist and dim lighting.. (night time mode might need to be fixed for this).

     

    City Intersection - Just one city intersection.. maybe a couple parked cars or cars waiting at lights.. traffic lights.. maybe a nice park on one corner.. maybe a bar / club on another corner. I'm picturing tall buildings like a downtown area, with the street level accessible by people in the "room". Maybe the spawn point is the corner store.. Idk!

     

     

    Anyway, that's all I have so far. I think these could be really cool and I'd be happy for anyone to build their own versions!  ^_^

    Hmm... if anyone like a mod could fix it, I just wanted it to be RWBY but I tried to use colors on it. Sorry!

    I am not very religious, but I do have my own beliefs. I believe there is a god or gods, personally, whether they are a single or multiple divine, celestial beings or whether they are the forces of nature or the planets or the stars. I do not claim to know, I just believe it to be true.

     

    I also believe in the soul. I think to science, the soul would be considered the human consciousness. If science is ever able to identify it, hopefully it will be before they make teleporters and start sending people through them. That would suck to find out you lost your soul in the teleporter. So be wary! :D
