Here is YouTube normalization today. Some of user uploaded with Audio Opus format as following screen capture

With option "Stat for Nerds" over video streaming.

Check at Highlight I made...it read Volume/Normalization 100%/50% (Content Loudness 6.0 dB)

It means I turned on YouTube Streaming Volume to 100% (Of course, It not concerned on PC volume).

The streaming had been normalized down to 50% from original stream.

Second line is OPUS Audio CODEC @ VBR 251 Kbps (around half of MAX capability).

There was no original STAT of LUFS but I'm sure that it was over -14 LUFS.

Today, website that provided Audio/Video Streaming service Audio CODEC (Coder/Decoder)

From the past FLAC, MP3, WMA, ALAC, Ogg Vorbis, AAC, AIFF or later M4a from Apple.

It is Opus format which is standardized by IETF (the Internet Engineering Task Force)

That implied technology from SKYPE and Xiph CODEC.

This Opus CODEC can handled widely Audio Application starts from VOIP (Voice over IP)..

Unfortunately, Winamp doesn't support this Opus format but no problem.

Download from following website, it's automatically patch to your Winamp software

I'm not sure how long it will exist but 100%works with Winamp.

I also have goodies Free LameXP Audio Converter software from Any standard Audio Format to Opus format.

Or any formats that fit your requirement (available 9 compression format except M4a).

Which can be adjusted from Min to Max quality you need. Even increase/decrease your master volume, bass or treble.

In order to create your work and upload to Public Streaming Website you need.

I chose this software to convert my WAV file to Opus highest quality (CBR 510 Kbps).

I compared with M4a format & Opus by file size and audio quality.

Apple Encoder 16 Bit/192 Kbps/ CD Lossless m4a for 1 hour mix set took 458 MB storage.

Whilst Max Opus CBR 510 Kbps took 116 MB and have even better sound quality.

My last tip for you guys...

It's a bit tricky to upload your mix set through any free Public Audio or DJ streaming website.

We can create the greatest set our own with +3db of you final set.

Like I always do for my mastering set and playing with max at my own Radio Server.

BUT...if you shared your set on Public website.

You must beware of LUFS (Loudness Units relative to Full Scale) according to ITU standard.

It was designed to avoid “loudness wars,”

where everyone wants THE LOUDEST POSSIBLE RECORDING,

To avoid any crazy of collateral damages.

Like distortion, listener fatigue, and no dynamic range.

Public Digital Music Website like iTunes, YouTube, Soundcloud, Mixcloud or Spotify and etc.

They have their limit of LUFS their own. as followings;

Apple Music  = -16 LUFS

YouTube        = -13 LUFS

Spotify           = -14 LUFS

Tidal              = -14 LUFS

Soundcloud =  N/A (changed from time to time)

Mixcloud      = -13 LUFS

Note: This was latest INFO; first week of MAY 2019.

Some public Streaming Web services may change their policies at any time.

Almost of DAW (Digital Audio Workstation) has LUFS analyzer such as:

Stienberg Cubase, Presonus Studio Pro, Magix Samplitude, Isotope Insight.

Or Reaper with free SWS option.

Those analyzer will help you to turn down your volume to match website requirement.

If you posted more than max of LUFS, your set will be totally soften by their auto - normalize setting.

That means you're fucked

Analyzer software for DJ console will cost around 40-60 USD.

but it will be useful for you. I used Platinum Note 4 software.

along with SWS extension for Reaper DAW.

Other goodies is Youlean Loudness Meter Pro, cost around 50 USD.

Very useful for finalized your set and post to public website without any head scratch.

And this is what I'm working with Reaper & Youlean Loundness Meter analyzer.

It was set to - 10.0 LUFS integrated but still having some momentary peak.

After rendering it, will be taken to Platinum Notes 4 to soften a bit.

First thing I need to admit is I have not been following your complaints with 3dX General Locations music as closely as I should, but I do have a serious question, and I am interested to hear your answer. If you do not like the music at the Night Club location, why not contact 3DX and offer to stream your music there?  You appear to be more than technically skilled enough to do it. Maybe I am missing something in all this.

They limit to -13 LUFS which ain't bad if compared with Apple website (-14.0 LUFS).

Whilst real EDM set need around -8.5 to -9.0 LUFS as common setting.

Sometimes, I was confused about db sound level compare with volume percentage.

Kind of Logarithm stuff, +3 db = 100% plus of Max sound volume.

why do you so care about the Music in Public Locations?

I will to be honest, last time I did listen music at public locations can be 2 years ago. Currently I've no Idea how it sounds or how good it fits. Mostly I listen my own humble Music collection or I listen together with friends in user worlds.

 

I've the opinion the visitor focus has changed more to the User Worlds and I think it has more potential for Individual Music and entertaining. Sadly I've also the opinion the main interest of the most players did change too

Mostly I've the feeling no one cares if music plays, how it sounds or of where is it coming...

 

Well what I want to say is, if the Music in public locations doesn't fits, be happy because then should there still be a lot resources  to entertain players with very good and individual music in user worlds

Very well understood your opinion. Of course, we're happy to do same like a picnic when there's music party event with friends.

Yesterday I had a chance to play this game, found friends there.

Music at Sin Club ain't bad and crowded room, Love Island; my favorite place was acceptable.

Fresco is too thin for big room and Night Club was a ghost town

I remembered well when Fresco was built, EDM public set were moved there.

While I took part as Night Club DJ and presented non-stop Disco set.

To avoid Public Music Genre presentation for both place.

Night Club at that time was not empty like today.

I did music rotation there with help from Chilles and also having live DJ on every SAT evening.

My second thought, I'm working on "Lost & Found"set for the better tune.

There's no Internet DJ license here in Thailand but I have English Public Radio Announcer License here.

Of course Music copyright is the main subject to re-post my music mix set too.

Just one question, Are you sure that Lusian has full rights to present his entire music at 3DXChat?

I'm doubted about EU DJ license, Lussian may have it but what about his music collection?

My country charges with different cost between Personal sharing and Commercial purpose.

I don't think Lussian's collection will be all 100% Public distribution rights.

It's very expensive to invest with this game. I'm 100% sure.

Is this make sense for you?

Not including with his naive Music Experience.

He'll take all blame on his own risk if Music Copyright owner found this shit.

Environment with good music, maybe some wine, cocktail or any alcohol beverages.

They're good for In - game foreplay for long term players here.

Most of the time, I played my mix set but sometimes I'd like to see what's good here too.

6. Start your creation with less competitors by seeking your matched music Genre you created. Like "Classical Rock", "Community Radio", "EDM Party Mix" or etc.

If there were less Famous or Popular Social DJ, you'll be safe. Don't start with hashtag like "Trance", "EDM" or any main of Mixcloud genre library.

Otherwise, you'll work overtime and will never get recognized by Mixclould Public Listeners.

I did some different Music Genre too. Like "Rockhound" classical rock mix, some of Goa Psy-Trance with I did well cause I have some background of Music Knowledge.

Don't jump to the bigger arena if you were not ready.

Note: There were Pro & Selected DJs who purchased Mixcloud's express way on "Community Radio"atm.

Quite hard to beat them. Avoid to use hashtag # community radio for awhile.

7. Mixcloud Rules & Regulations had been changed. I became Pro Member by paying 50 USD one time since 2015.

Sad news in FEB, 2019 was they changed Pro Subscription to 135 USD per year and having same privileged access.

I decided not going any more. Not working with any amature like me or climbing DJ career at all.

The best thing I've learned is entire of Re post, Favorite will be less count if compared with listening minutes for each of Mix set.

Cheater actions were eliminated.

8. Your set is either your sapling plant or baby that has just born, it need your extreme intensive care for one week.

Using your Social Media channels you have like your Facebook, Twitter, Google+ and etc.

Let your friends or your followers being informed.

I once was careless and let everything go like I did before.

My Dubstep ranking was dropped from 2nd to 24th, in the end.

Cause I couldn't compete with incoming big name DJs and Mixcloud STAT fooled me too.

Until final rank was revealed.

After 20 APR 2019 Mixcloud made both of Local & Global Ranking. Please see as followings;

My latest mix set reached 1^st Rank on "Progressive Electro House" and "Bass" at the same time.      

But wait if you checked detail of each. You'll find the different of my ranking.

I reached 1^st Rank of Global Ranking on "Progressive Electro House"

But look at this "Bass" was just only 1^st Rank on Local (Thailand) only.

9. Do not expect your 3DXChat fans to follow you at Mixcloud, it's totally SEX game and nobody cares except serious Music Lovers like some of us.

New players are even worse. They're coming with lust and don't care about Music Quality at all, just playing to fill up their need.

Some of them 're trying to be well known by doing silly troll post or mischief other players.

Like naming themselves as DJ including with cheering posts in 3DXChat forum too. WTF?

I don't have any conflict with him but his music taste and tune are totally suck.

He drove old players away, to be honest.

Lucky us that there's no music at beach. It was only peaceful place to stay without his tune.

Even worse, he don't know how to arrange proper playlist at Love Island, Sin Club and any public place at all.

Such as playing The Beatles "A Hard Day Night", Deep Purple "Smoke On the Water"

and jumped to 20 K Indy tunes, back to Lynrd Skynrd "Sweet home Alabama"

At Love Island, i entered with 20K Pop tune for couple of songs and twisted back with 60's?

Don't know what went wrong with these but it was totally cheesy and his ability is far more definition of "Armature DJ".

At Fresco, it was OK but mix set was older than 5 years ago. Great.

If you didn't find any better Music Moderator. Just taking entire music off.

And let players bringing their own music.

10 Tips of being ready for Mixcloud

1. What is your best for? Just ask yourself what is your best for listeners there. You must present the best of you, not just a fashion music.

If you were the best with Classical Rock, Decade of Pop Music and etc. Please do it.

Don't upload music content that you don't know shit.

2. Build your own basic fans, Apple Computer started at garage as we knew, we're not famous DJ too.

Your closed friends, relatives who love same kind of your music creation will be your best supporter in the begining.

3. Audio quality is crucial subject for Mixcloud Listerners.

I don't have to tell where I collected my song collection, I spent a lot of money to get them, to be honest.

Bandcamp, Monstercat and other Indy Recording companies that provided at least FLAC files are the good start.

Beware of illegal website, sometimes FLAC file was created by 128 Kbps Mp3, use your ears. Shit quality in = Shit Quality out.

4. Music knowledges? Yes, you need before presenting your creation to public.

Nobody wants to spend happy time with boring music streaming, for sure.

I don't want to talk about boring DJ Theories and don't want to raise the topic of Beat grid, Beat Match.

Or even Camelot Wheel for non-musician DJ this time.

Please check and recheck your set before publishing to public.

The rest  will be listener's judgement, not yours.

5. Seeking for Mixcloud Supporter? This is what you need to get more growing up.

There are tons of DJ there. Some of them do tricky by creating Auto Script of being your follower.

Most of them are Radio Stations and halfway of climber Pro DJ.

Once you follow back. You'll be their slave forever and they will shove their streaming without any thank you at all.

Try once, if they scratch your back and you do the same way. It will be good start in the long run. Win-win situation.

I also learned plays or listens arent even individual ones. You just refresh the page and click on play again. Voila your play-count increased. Its retarded and shows nothing about skills or taste of music. It just shows how deep your pockets are or how many friends you can mobilize that really dont give a flying fuck about what you upload and just hit that like-button without even playing the mix.

 

Thats what it is all about on Mixcloud.

I knew that you were the first pioneer of Mixcloud member who posted your creations there.

I followed your steps and learned how to do and deal with it.

I did it almost 3 years; never given up but you did.

I knew what do you mean about cheating number of listeners.

It was an old story and not working at all today.

Mixcloud had changed their policies of Ranking Chart by counting listening time of each set.

Instead of listening numbers; 2 years ago.

Even worse, everyone who posted their set on Mixcloud must be maintain their rank for one week.

Since Day 1 on their entry challenge which I mentioned on first post.

Or got no ranking like the past. It started this year.

Now, it becomes harder cause Mixcloud raised Pro Option charge.

From 50 USD one time charge to 135 USD per year with same privileged access.

What I would like to share how to be one of recognized there.

I feel like I owed our friends here who taught me how to create EDM my own way.

There are about 10 tips without paying expensive Pro Option too.
