Thank you, MeiLing!

Isn't that what I'm doing? I'm not trying to be snarky or anything. But the Technical Support forum seemed like the place to go to contact support.
-
Still can't join Discord. It's been almost two weeks since I posted this issue. How can I get this addressed?
-
I'm trying, but something is preventing me from joining Discord. I explain it here:
-
I've tried a whole bunch (though I did try again for good measure). In fact, this has been an issue for a couple years. I just wasn't too fussed about getting back on the Discord. But now it seems patch notes are only going up on Discord, so I'd like to take a look.
-
I was on the Discord server a few years ago, but left it. Now, when I try to rejoin I get error messages like this one: I was not kicked out or banned. I left voluntarily. Please help? Thank you!

It's still very possible. It's the standard of most MMOs (which is why it's kind of baffling that 3DXChat doesn't use it). Just a right-click can be selection/menu options, while right-click + drag moves the camera.

I can, but since the complaints are about the update, the logical thing to do is respond in the thread dedicated to the update. The truth about the "glass" metaphor is that it is both half full and half empty. Both things can be true. But you'll never get your glass all the way full if you don't tell the person with the water that you're thirsty. -

When something is worthy of praise, I'll give it. When the new clothing system was first introduced, it got high praise, and deservedly so. But no, this isn't just a "don't use it if you don't like it" situation. This game doesn't just have bugs; it is riddled with them. What makes that worse is that many of these bugs have existed for years. But rather than fixing them, or giving the community things it's actually asked for, we get more distractions that look shiny, but are rather low quality. But we're supposed to swallow the BS that guys got "37 new styles" of shirt? No, they got one new shirt with some variations. A dozen new dances! Not really. 11 "running man" dances with little variations, and one dance that has no sense of physics or gravity. You asked "why". The answer is simple. Because if we don't give feedback about the devs' missteps, they won't know they've misstepped. You may not like what we have to say, but as you point out, not everyone has the same taste. But everyone deserves to be heard. You don't see me whining that people are giving praise to the stuff they like. That's their opinion and they're entitled to it. But just the same, I'm entitled to let the devs know what I think as well. -

Valentine's Day 2024: Update, Party and Challenge

Glad to see the guys getting some attention in this one. Good job there. But the dances...um...I mean, thanks for more dances? Except literally all but one of the new single dances is some variation of the Running Man...possibly the worst dance in existence. As for the couples dances...I guess a waltz might be nice on a rare occasion. But what the hell is that other one? There are soooo many great options for couples dances (swing, salsa, etc.). I appreciate the effort, but I feel like the time could have been much better spent. -

Amen to this. I wish so much that this was a feature. Body options and clothing should be saved separately.

I sort of agree. Speaking as someone who has probably been accused of this, I can confirm it *is* a problem. But I wouldn't characterize it as room admins trying to control the roleplay. That's not what it is, at least not from the admins' perspective. It's more about trying to enforce certain standards to create an environment conducive to immersive roleplaying. Unfortunately, in an environment like 3DX, that means a constant struggle because this game just isn't an RP environment; at least not in the way that most hardcore RPers are looking for. So it ends up creating friction and sometimes resentment. In the end, I don't think it's worth it to try to enforce such strict standards, especially if they run counter to what 3DXChat is at its core: a sex game layered onto a 3D social platform. I tried to have an RP room with such strict standards. It was very successful for quite a while. Arguably one of the most successful rooms at its time. But it couldn't last. As Tasha pointed out, eventually the more casual players drifted away, turned off by the strict rules. We were left with a devoted core group of hardcore RPers. I adore every one of them. But there just weren't enough of us to maintain the room. Lesson learned, and I hope others can learn from my mistakes. Keep it light. Give people room to have fun in a variety of ways. There *will* be room for immersive RP, but it doesn't necessarily require restrictive rules to create it.

Halderim, this is brilliant and thank you so much for sharing it with the rest of us in the building community. -

Thank you for pointing that out. I knew I couldn't be the one to mention it, as the dissenters would just brush it off as me grasping at straws. But we are far from the only people to realize the unsubtle "hidden" meaning here. It really makes all the claims that "it's just a Star Wars meme" a complete joke.

Astonishing that an entire thread is titled "shemales", a thread originally posted by @Lisa, no less. Okay, devs, since you (and 90% of the game) don't seem to realize this: "shemale" is a slur. It's not a cute way to say "trans girl"...it's a way for bigots to imply that we're men and it has historically been used to degrade and dehumanize us. This word should be no more acceptable than the n-word or any other derogatory language, and certainly shouldn't be used by the game devs (hopefully you've learned this since 2014 when you created this thread). On the same note, it's ridiculous that poses between cis male and trans female avatars are under a "bisexual" category. There is nothing bisexual about that. Once again, this implies that trans women are male. Pretty bad when the game itself is insulting us while supposedly having rules against such discriminatory behavior.
