Cannot Load Players

Elddie

Recommended Posts

I'm having an issue where I cannot load other players properly.

This is a recent problem where when I load into any world, I only load in about 1/10 of the world population at a time, and from them, they are all in the naked "Default" model.

I have tried:

-A fresh install
-Run as Admin.
-Made an exception for my Firewall/Anti-virus
-VPN'ed from another country
-Tried different worlds

I don't know what to do. Please help.

Connection problems
If you get connection refused or lost connection, but nobody else is having the same issue.

First of all, check your own internet connection.
Then you can use this site to check for a live status of 3DXChat here: https://status.3dxchat.net/
If that isn't the problem you can try to run a selftest to see if your ISP or firewall is blocking any of the connections 3DXChat needs to function here: https://status.3dxchat.net/selftest for a more accurate and detailed troubleshoot, you can download and run the troubleshoot file: https://status.3dxchat.net/troubleshooting (Follow the guide on the page)

If your connection is blocked or slow try the following steps:
Use a VPN there are plenty of free VPN options out there.
Use a cable connection instead of WiFi.
Allowing 3DXChat through your firewall and antivirus software.

You are having a connection issue.

Hello!

I'm having this exact same issue. Have uploaded results of the network checking tool and it's informing that:

All good!

Your PC passed all network tests

So still unsure how to fix the issue?

Just started this week have had no issues up until now.

Have re-installed the game/changed USA to Europe servers etc?

If anyone can help please let me know!😪

Thank you

Did you try this to see if it's a connection issue, like they did?

You are experiencing a connection issue, plain and simple.

The internet works by 2-way communications with computers, send data and receive data, when we have something in the middle of this stopping said communication then you have what you are experiencing, which is no communication or poor communication due to something blocking it.

Sometimes it is very difficult to trace where the issue is, sometimes easy, it all depends on several factors.

If it is a security issue it could be something as simple as cache cleaning but may be an issue with your ISP security.

If it is a connection issue, then something on your end or something on the server's end that you are connecting through. Your PC may be setup great as far as how it communicates over the internet, but if the computer you are communicating through is the culprit. Something is standing in the way between computers.

Another thing people assume is if they have a really fast internet connection all is good, in actuality the computer you are communicating with is slower then hell, this will give you connection drops and disconnects from 3DX, even though you have a screaming fast connection. For example, you live in LA and have a Ferrari that goes 280 mph and you get on I95 and it is gridlocked, even though you have a Ferrari that goes 280 mph, you will still travel only 15 mph for hours. This scenario is why DSL pretty much disappeared, as back then it worked by to put it in layman terms, were connected by hubs and there would be like 10 lines servicing an area, if only 1 connection was active it worked really fast, well for back in  the day anyway lol, but if all 10 connections were active then it would be very slow for all 10, because as each connection came active it would take speed from the other connections. Cable internet works pretty much like this but because of the thick copper wires, latency is not affected, and they have expensive load balancers set up.

You can try emptying your http cache folder see if that helps.

C:\Users\YOURUSERNAME\AppData\LocalLow\SexGameDevil\3DXChat\HTTPCache

Empty all the files in this folder, the game will replace them when you start it.

Please report back with your findings if you will.

Tried this.
Didn't fix it...

OK - I've taken on board the connection queries and changed countries on the VPN and various combinations, and am finding this will not fix the issue.

I'm going to go nuclear and wipe my computer / restart windows clean today and see if that helps...

See you on the other side.

I would advise against that, you are most likely to have the same issue you have after you reinstall.

There is something somewhere that is blocking your connection, it may not even be on your end to begin with.

Well, I'm not about to re-install my OS just yet.

But let's say it is caused by a connection issue, even though the 3DXChat Selftest said everything was working.

How do I fix it?

Try cleaning your registry.

Gizmo made a bat file for us to do it.

The game should recreate the info when the game is restarted.

It cleared the registry (Had to log in again) but it didn't fix the problem...

I think i have the same issue. It's looks like a bug, if you go in the AppData folder, there is a file named player.log, and it is spammed with this error :
NullReferenceException: Object reference not set to an instance of an object.

Has anyone with the issue tried to reset their avatar? It's a long shot but GottaGo has some data that it has something to do with character files.

With the new engine, it might be giving error messages that we never had before.

Maybe with the new engine, instead of the spinning wheel it now errors out. Just an assumption on my part.

Did you try it, to rule out any ISP/Firewall related issues ?

I just tried in succession:

-Uninstalling my Anti-virus software (Avast One), didn't fix it.
-Turned off all Windows Firewalls, didn't fix it.
-Tried using my VPN (NordVPN) to set me in Germany, didn't fix it.
-Uninstalled my VPN and ran the game, didn't fix it.

As far as my ISP, I have AT&T Fiber Internet, which running a few speed/bandwidth tests, I'm getting what I should be.
Also, running the 3DXChat Connection Tester, all shows good for it.

Not sure how to do that. Can you elaborate?
