Same here. Concerning misuse? Where's the interest to open a room on one hand and to kick visitors out on the other,  just for fun? This would be plain stupid and even if someone feels the stange joy of doing so, noone would go there on the long run. So what?
But if someone trolls around at a room the roomowner has all the rights to kick this person out and I sincerly vote for an option to be able to.

The script kiddies with their botnets are at it again. Definition of a wanna be hacker.
Anyways, can someone other than Alivia (someone who is staff perhaps) explain to us what, if anything, has been done to prevent the server from going down in the future?
- Is it a single point of failure? (I hope not lol)
- What redundancy, if any, is in place?
- Have you thought about, or are currently load balancing traffic between multiple servers? A simple fail-over can be setup to load balance between the online server, and a backup server.
- Who is your service provider? Do they offer DDoS protection? What was the size of the attack. Find a provider who can absorb it large attacks without just shutting down your server.
- It looks like you at least use CloudFlare, for the website.
- Maybe invest in something like https://constellix.com/ for load balancing

Hello everyone I decided to do a small website to share my work, and finally decided to open it to other friends and builders.
 
I totally know some excellent forum exists about it and there is topics here as well. My Idea was just to make a display website, gathering rooms and objects. Just galleries, no forum, nothing, to keep it simple. Also I want this site to be totally free, all contributions are given away. All we ask for, is people not to take credits for what they didn't do
 
So far the objects section is quiet empty as I made the site yesterday, but I will load more files in the coming days.
 
Any builder wishing to share their work on the website, please contact me!
 
Last point: this is a showcasing/downloading website. There is no group attached, there wont be any event and parties related to it, just people willing to share their work for free.

You would think they finally managed to make a script that checks if the server is online or down, killing the process and restarts it.... but no!
Thats just a few lines of code.... *shakes the head*

Because my approach to a job is to exploit the privileges as much as possible while neglecting as many of the responsibilities as possible.

An unfortunate event they could have 100% avoided by having a back up server.....but hey, whatever.
