Well the flip side of that is,
 
To all those saying ignore the trolls and ignore those who respond to them and the forum is sunshine and roses. Why the fuck are you posting to say that, having clearly been following what’s going on? Surely you don’t give a shit because your ignores work fine and you aren’t affected by what goes on in the forum so step out and let it be a flame war?

It has been tried but it does not work. Not going to rehash the obvious history of why it doesn't, I get tired of repeating old news.

Forum ignore doesn’t really work properly not like in game iggy where the twats are erased from existence. It’s a bit like knowing the guy next door murders people. You know he has bodies under the patio but fuck it, as long as i’m not one of them it’s fine. It would be nice to improve things for everyone, it’s not impossible.
 
Not sure about hundreds? There’s 30 people max who post anything regularly and at least ten of them are trolls.

Absolutely true. Unfortunately in 6 years that hasn’t happened. What happens is that the more reasonable people get sick of the toxic community and simply step out of it. This has left a forum controlled by a high post count/vocal minority. Their activity then sets the tone and controls either passive aggressively or through direct bullying, what is considered acceptable for others to post.
 
Those who fight back are just as bad yes, perhaps the conflict has just become the only way to get attention for something to be done. Moderation, closing the forums, the community to stand up for what it wants. Something, anything.

Lol, all this time i’ve been holding back too, that’s annoying. If I buy more xgold can I say what I really think about people?

Mar, can I ask why you only quote the rules to some people? I think it’s really helpful to remind people what the rules are, and I understand that you always reply when spoken to. I could be wrong but in this example you weren’t replying to anyone?
 
I’ve also noticed several other threads with posts that look as if they are breaking the rules, but i’m no expert, it’s up to the devs as you say. I suspect it’s just the ones you happen to notice? but i’m curious in case there’s a pattern i’m missing. I know it’s hard to keep track of everything that goes on.

What’s interesting though, is who decides what is “constructive” or “acceptable” content for people to talk about. Everyone bangs on about their entitlement to post what they want within the rules, and in some cases irrespective of the rules so trying to influence what anyone posts is the same as trolling?
 
Personally I think this topic was tongue in cheek and a relatively harmless commentary on what is going on. Lots of people have also offered constructive opinion here.
 
It’s obvious we can’t have proper discourse here so the only things left on the forum that remain mostly untrolled are the threads of picture spam and music. Those appear to be sacrosanct.

Please don't make me blush. I gonna whistle: 'what is good what is wrang by the law, by the law'.... it's never one person. It's an attitude. There is a report system here and in game. If everyone reported abuse, misbehaviour, 3DX would be a better place and never forget that LAW applies in internet: cyberbullying, racism, homophobia are federal crime in the USA, and crimes in the EU. Fill a claim and admin have to give all the information about the person  Law Enforcement. Some years in jail are not the same than a ban.
 
There are two things that are not fair in this case:
 
1/ All has started with the weekend...and everybody knows that Gizmo and Liza are not there during the week end
2/ The majority of the players are here to enjoy a moment with friends or/more more casual activities....And they may be hurt too.
 
Now about DarkFairy; I have seen her several times in the game (I have danced next to her yesterday evening) and have readen her profile. I may never talked to her and she may never talked to me...and it would not be because of what happened here ... but something else that can't be word. You feel or not.

Love you MeiLing, one of the nicest person I have met.Now remember when forum was closed for what a week, as many profiles and people were taken out of forum by Gizmo? Prior to that here was worse. If everyone expressed their irritations on here Forum would be full of he said she said bullshit. Thing is when it comes to dramas it falls on who is looking at things. Let rule breakers break rules and get suspended or something. But to say a topic is drama, information, or as in Dark Fairy a question really falls on who is doing the reading it falls on interpretation. Interpretation should not be the ruling judgement here, facts and broken rules should be. But that is my opinion. 

Vaughan, you do realize if the vote is yes you have to leave too right? You are a HUGE troll. You and your girlfriend have made horrible attacks on people in the game, trying to destroy their reputations and ruin their games,not only with no proof, but you were proved to be wrong with absolute evidence and never apologized. So stop it with the nice guy act ok? Most of us know it is total bullshit. Being in denial, poems and pretty memes can't hide or fix that.

Interesting how the louder voices can distort the perception of majority wants. Turn out is low so the majority i suspect has nothing to do with wc and doesn’t care either way.

THX, I don't really believe that Gizmo will be able to hire a good moderators team without money. Yeah, there exist some amount of people who are really ready to work for "free" just to make this game and forum a better places, but I am pretty sure most of them not really ready to do it "free", they just can enjoy power over others instead of money. Do I want WC and forum to be a better place without verbal abuse, personal attacks and spam? Yes, would be nice. Is it worth to have some power-hungry mods who can use their power against someone who they dislike or give some free pass to someone who they like? I doubt it. The other way - pay-based hired mods. But I doubt Gizmo going to pay for a moderators team. 

Although I agree basically with what you say Xizi, good moderation requires explanation.
In other words, it is not just good enough to warn, delete, block, ban, etc. without an explanation (which will always cause animosity from some quarters), even if it is just to refer to the ToS.

If moderators were obliged to do that, it would resolve a lot of the problems that arise with "volunteer" moderation.

Gizmo has clearly stated in a older thread that rape rooms are against tos and will not be tolerated
this has happened in the past and the owner of that room had banned 
So im pretty sure it will happen again 

Some members should be advised and penalised for such rooms.
 
Going back to using other medias for publishing updates,  I think it would be a bad idea for the 3dXChat owners to fail to publish any updates in their own forum.

Just maybe, members who use the Forums as they should be used, without being shitty to each other may have something to say about that.
 
Updates should be published here and the shitty disruptive members should just **** off and take their nasty little tongues to PM with each other.
 
Same with WC, bad behaviour should be penalised and punished and Reporting made quick and easy. 

The question is - where you will get enough amount of decent moderators who will clean all the nasty mess both on forum and in game and will not abuse their power? 

I’d like to say I hope something has been learned but I doubt it has. These threads have served their purpose i’ll ask for them to be deleted now.
