  1. Players were up in arms about harassment and stalking and people finding them ingame, devs gave a solution. Everyone wanted to cry about how bad alts were and now look at this 7 page thread in under a day. What did you expect? Sub cancelled.
  2. Peace! As a general rule, you probably won't want to call a part of another gender "filthy" unless you want people flying in your face. The only reason I didn't go full ragemode on your post is because I didn't want to turn it into a fight thread. It's sad when fellow members of the LGBT community bash others based on their preferences, sexuality, or bodies. You say you've left, but if you ever come back I'd like to know what these unfair acts are?
  3. Would I be able to use an image editing program to stitch together a multi-person submission? You can't actually move/pose bots, so making alts join in is impossible. If not, would I be able to choose to split any winnings between other participants?
  4. I'd like that and color 1/color 2 option tbh, just cause I'm lazy, but in c1/c2 could just set one as white
  5. What? Are you advocating the use of alts to gather information on others in any way? This statement right here is the main reason I started replying to your post. It's honestly laughable. I'm a big fan of public sex and don't use alts to go to orgy rooms. I don't need an alt to live out my fantasies, however, there are people in this game who hold it against me for loving public sex and doing the dirty wherever I please, these people are friends with other people who may also like it, but tend to use alts to do this so not to have anyone judge them. Why should you be able to hinder someones anonymity based on your emotions when all I am asking for is the status quo for people to get their rocks off? I've never used an alt for harassing anyone, and keep them clean so I don't mind deleting them. Even when on my male character I have felt bad when someone flirted with me and told them to talk to someone I know is a male IRL because I was a female using a male avatar to have some fun (this is before girls could have awesome dongs). You're right. I won't give an inch at all so long as there is an open discussion about this and bad suggestions keep being made that threaten to take privacy away from the playerbase as a whole. When you offer an actual solution that I agree with, I'll spout off on how much it would be a great idea. To use a separate email for forums than they use to pay for 3DX. Any and all 3DX related stuff should go to that email and nothing else should be attached to it. Don't give your real life information out, including number, use chat programs such as Kik or Snapchat to converse with other members if you feel you want that type of commmunication. Use your 3DX only email for a new Skype account if someone wants to get on voice or cam with you. Don't use Skype or other VoIP programs if you want to try to keep your IP hidden. This and other things, basic tenants of keeping yourself safe online, especially around a bunch of horny perverts The buttheads who stalk and harass other players and the grumpyfaces who are rude to new players are the ones creating anything less than a great environment for players.
  6. Breaking this into two posts as the forums have limiters on amount of quote tags in each post. What will stop people from using new accounts if they truly mean to stalk someone and track them down? This already happens. How will any of your proposed colors or suggestions help with that if people aren't actively protecting themselves? Alright, I went back and looked at a bunch of posts, in regards to player statistics, I found this from you, which is why I asked for further metrics, since you're the one stating this This seems like a personal attack when all I have done is offer a different side to many suggestions that I feel are terrible for the community as a whole. Even less of a percentage actively participate or view the forums after registering. This is true for all communities. What amount does it retain? Where are those metrics? We're swinging back into winter so it's picking back up with more people coming back around, also even during the summer there were more active players in public zones nearly every time I was on and around (almost daily). From what I've seen, for a subscription based game with a small pool of content that grows stale rather quickly, the game is still growing and retaining memberships quite well. The addition of rooms has helped as it gets a lot of themed players sorted and less drama has been in other zones since. I'm sure some probably have quit due to people being rude to them, I probably wouldn't pay 20 bucks a month if I wasn't enjoying the game, shouldn't expect anyone else to. Should anyones privacy or anonymity be lessened due to others being dicks to people? Can we stop this? Neither of us know any figures, it's all anecdotal on what we see and and hear from others. Your figures mean nothing, and I doubt SexGameDevil will be publishing member statistics so either of us can use it in our points. Untrue. I've produced many arguments, but they all boil down to these suggestions creating more drama and taking away privacy and anonymity.
  7. Please define "one upping" as you appear to be using a definition I am unaware of or are using it incorrectly with regards to the discussion at hand.
  8. You do not receive a forum account with your subscription, it's a completely different sign-up. You are joining a public forum that is visible to people who both do and don't play, and the rest of the internet, the same level of anonymity isn't expected. The only thing not visible to forum users who are not logged in is user profile information. The rest, posts, replies, images, etc is all visible. You can sign up to the forums at any point you wish as a public discussion area. There is no reason to see identifying details about my account inside of the game besides what I choose to provide. No one should have a right to view when I started paying a subscription fee for a service under the guise of some type of protection for peoples feelings. I don't pay my subscription to protect people. I don't pay my subscription to help people. I don't pay my subscription to let others have identifying information available to them just for logging in beyond what I say in my profile. I pay this subscription to hang out with cool people and have a few orgasms. Why do you want to take my fun and anonymity away from me? No ones feelings are going to be spared by offering up data on the playerbase as a whole. People are still going to harass and mess with each other and be unkink and untruthful. You're not helping anything by advocating for less privacy.
  9. Are you having an issue with 3DX Rift mode or headtracking in general? If 3DX, probably not a good idea as they used 0.4.something last time they did a Rift update and the SDK is on 0.8.0 If it's tracking in general, you may want to read this: https://www.reddit.com/r/oculus/comments/2cu0qq/how_i_got_my_dk2_working_with_positional_tracking/ and probably this: http://cymaticbruce.com/DK2Troubleshoot2.html
  10. Please provide metrics, including links to sources on player data, how long subscriptions last, including duration trends. Since you claim in your post that new players don't make it past a month, you surely have the data to back it up, not to mention the added data of player surveys of those to figure out the true reasons behind them on renewing their subscriptions. I'm not willing to look at anything that would mark individuals whether new or making alts by giving them special colored names. This will lead to issues with MORE discrimination against the new players you're supposedly trying to help. Your whole color coded system is bad and would serve no purpose other than to call people out for their lack of time here. There are already fights in world and local where users (who are comparatively new themselves) are telling other even newer users not to participate because they don't know how this game works. You will not achieve anything by giving people color codes other than more drama. What if I make an alt and let it sit for 6 months so it becomes white and claim to be someone I'm not who mostly just lurks and makes my way into friend groups? It's not hard to let an alt sit and not pay much mind to it. My male avatar has been on my account pretty much from the beginning, and would be automatically grandfathered as white with your date scheme. Would you set the limit higher? Because that alt has existed for a year and a half. Not to mention the fact that no one has a right to be able to distinguish how long any other person has been playing based on a color above their head. I've deleted gifts on other alts to keep them "clean" so people wouldn't really know how long they existed. These were alts used by me when I wanted to test/break things, so I kept them without friends or gifts as a way to have no residual attachment should I want to delete it to make something else. The only solution that could work, without giving away a players privacy or putting them into some ugly rainbow colored mass, would be to charge XGold for continuous alt creation and deletion. That is if the roleplaying community were to agree to it, seeing as Skar thinks it would be an issue. The problem that you and others are trying to tackle with segregating the community by means of avatar age, colors, etc... isn't one that should be tackled with ingame tools or moderation unless the harassment is to a point of truly and honestly breaking the rules. As far as I am aware, and have confirmed with other users and moderators of this forum, the block feature works in such a way that if you block "Brunhidle" you wouldn't be able to see "ChristophAnton" ingame, whether it be physically or his text. So if a person is being bothered by the same person on another account after being ignored, that constitutes as harassment and should be reported to devs. If they are clearing their blocklist or removing a known bad person from their list based on a friends advice, that's on them. Should their blocklist be cleared through no fault of their own, with the addition to PMing people from profiles, you could go through gifts of a known friend who has a gift from the person you are intending to block, click to go to their profile, click to private message (even if they aren't online) and block them that way. People are trying to 'fix' a problem based around human emotion, and you can't, because all people are different and have different emotions, and act and react in many different ways. There are other ways to go about this, for both sets of people that you are targeting in your post. Tutorials and guides. Though I haven't looked at current materials for new players here on the forum for probably over a year, the last I did look, they were scant at best. For the other group of people who some feel the need to protect, they need guides on how to protect their online security and themselves. You can not and will not be able to make any game changes that stop making people have hurt feelings over situations that the game itself can't and doesn't control. I am more than willing to get together as a group and help write various documents for new players and ways to personally protect yourself, should the idea be liked yet no one wants to take the burden onto themselves.
  11. I'm not going to go back and quote everything I want to respond to, but I do want to say some stuffs. There has been a lot of great conscructive conversation since I decided to take my leave from the forums last night. I like some of the new ideas, and feel a couple of them could work given enough finesse, and programming time to put them in. I can see how it may detract from roleplayers, but I also think there is a solution there somewhere. Second, and last, Riela, please stop trying to use real stories as emotional appeals to get your point across and call for privacy restrictions. I've tried to keep things when speaking of others as general and vague as possible, using the things I've heard the most in regards to cheating here in arguments. We all have real lives, real emotions, and I'm betting the good many of us have connected very deeply with someone here, and been their rock, or they have been ours. Please don't use sob stories as a way to make people feel like your argument is anymore valid than theirs. As stated in a previous post, if there is legitimate harassment (9 accounts?) going on, contact the devs and yell at them until something is done or a response is made, document everything the harassers say and do, document every communication with the devs. If they refuse to do anything, make a public appeal.

  13. Honestly they should just make a color 1/color 1 pair of socks so we can have them be however we choose.
  14. I'll reply to the rest of your post later, I just wanted to chime in really quick to state that I am in no way "going at you." I am replying to a thread, the likes of which I have been participating in for well over a year, stating my opinion. Nor am I the only person who feels this way as I am sure you can ascertain through the seven pages in this thread, and countless others should you find it in yourself to use the search function.
