Further to the question above, does 3DXChat being on Steam mean that it will work with SteamVR and Steam's Valve Index headset? Sorry if this is a naive question, but VR support must be one of the major end user benefits for launching a game such as 3DXChat on a platform such as Steam.

Or maybe make a short text that says something like "Heya, i am to busy to talk now, sorry, have fun" before you go in any room and just copy paste it to those you don`t want to talk to ? It is dismissive and polite at the same time.

Steam shows adult content to anyone that checks the box saying that they want to see it. You can enable Family Options (aka Parental Controls) but most kids knows how to circumvent it, and those that won`t bother just make a new account, set an adult birthday, click to allow adult content and viola, you are now allowed to buy adult games.

So.. steam cool, but nothing for actual players? Did I understand properly? Thank you

I see this development with very, very mixed feelings. Yes, it's great if you get accepted into the Steam circles and the game will gain popularity. But Steam is not a charity, they want to make money, a lot of money. And that means they will make demands, both on the developers of 3dx and on us, the players (I almost said the residents). I hope that one day we don't have to experience Valve demanding exclusive marketing rights and 3dxChat becoming a "SteamOnly" product. I love the game and especially the people who play it as it is. I hope that Gizmo, Lisa and the others don't get eaten by the big sharks in the pond and can invest their valuable time in the further development of 3dx without shareholders deciding which poses they like best.

my experience is , if it is on Steam it is stable and the graphics are great. As far as adult verification goes, I don't see a issue, Steam won't show adult content to thoses who are not adults I feel this is a positive thing for 3DX, remains to be seen what price changes there will be, if any.

I've been around the game for a little more than two years. Maybe that's peanuts to some of you so maybe my opinion doesn't hold as much water.... but I think the game as is- is barely treading water and I don't think a poorly implemented store is going to fix that. It is going to take more effort from the Dev team to actually make significant improvements and more frequent updates. We have had what two updates in the last year? One being a quite minor one at that. And it is not just the issue of the timing of said updates. The quality of them at times are pretty spotty at best. Every single update I have witnessed has also added issues and bugs to the game. They seem very slapped together at times with little concern to the finer details. I also don't see a real thought-out development path. Many ideas just seem slapped together and half-baked with little thought how they will actually work in game and seem to be implemented poorly. The vast array of vending items being one those things. Sure, it added a few checkmarks to an already thin update. But in all reality how it was implemented leaves quite a bit to be desired. Many of the animations for them are janky and the underlying idea of payment and xgold transferring for said purchases seem just tacked on. Get the basics tight and well done and the rest will follow. The Devs seem really scattered brained on what to implement and just seem to slap together random things that aren't completely thought out just for the sake of being able to say well they added "something".

I’ve been waiting for six months for something that an animation creator can do in 3 days, a 3D object creator can do in a week, and a computer graphic artist can do in 1/2 a day) What quality and quantity are we talking about? ... I hope we are not being prepared for the fact that we will have to buy additional updates (poses, clothes and textures) on Steam? ))) We definitely won’t do this.

you're polite for sure, but compare to letting myself listen to some cheap chatting like " Hello, do you want sex?" or some cheap rp ideas like "do you want insist rp" sth... I'd rather be impolite and not reply to those chats comes with a simply "hello"... different ways to treat the problem : p

The mass of in-game shops in RLC shows how confusing such an offer becomes. How much the game server suffered from the many files n everyone there felt it. 3dX really doesn't need that. I do miss being able to design my own clothes in 3DX. But I don’t miss stores. The 3dx Community offers many things that don't cost anything. That's how it should stay.

Right now there are 34,949,285 people using Steam, so while i do think the added publicity is a good idea, I`m not so sure you thought this trough. There is no age verification on Steam other than the person themselves saying that they are over the legal limit by entering a birth date, so any 12 year old with a Steam gift certificate from Granny could in theory use that to buy the game and subscribe to if you allow the use of Steam wallet. Then there are the people that have left over the years, both the general grievers and the ones you have actually banned are now free to say exactly what they want both in reviews and the Steam forum. And they will. People buying games just to give a negative review and then refund it is not uncommon anymore. Neither are multi accounts just to spam negativity about a game and it takes a lot more to remove negative treads / reviews from Steam than you are used to from this site and Discord where you moderate it yourselves. Then there are the things we are not allowed to discuss in here that i am certain will be discussed on Steam at one point or another, and i don`t believe that "all pr is good pr" even less so when you give away the ability to control the flood of information and player / creator harassment, "outing" on who really made what, or who did what to whom and all the other drama people like to spread around in the client will be amplified on Steam. Certain hairstyles comes to mind. The players that actually like and play the game but are getting tired of the "maybe two" updates in a year will also can also be able to say what they like without fear of "retaliation" on a platform not run / owned by SGD or it`s affiliates, people that feel unfairly treated, builders that are redoing their creation for the 47`th time due to changes and bugs and so on and on. And of course the added exposure can lead to the right person asking a simple question. How may DJ`s in here actually pay royalties ?

Another game Germans can't get on Steam. Only way for them is still the "old" way, via the 3dx site.
