Have you ever wondered why some members chose the screen name they picked ?

I know I often do, I even sometimes try to imagine the story myself... which ends up in a few giggles

 

Some names are mysterious, some make us laugh, some just random, others have a deeper meaning to the ones bearing it.

 

So I thought it would be nice to share those stories, and get to know why we defined ourselves with the names we chose in here.

In my culture, Shanti means "peace, bliss..." Something I often seek but fail to reach ... So it was the perfect name tag to hold above my head and a nice goal to aim for myself

It actually come from the scarification I got at some point in my life.

They express an idea and an ideal. 

 

My name also signify the mark that are left by living.

Perhaps a more serious answer than you might be expecting cos of my mood today but here goes...

 

Back when I first joined I felt like I'd become an empty plastic version of me. It just seemed appropriate to embrace it and come back out of it bit by bit by acknowledging it and making it something more positive and happy.

My name is based on my actual name, the nickname thereof and where I'm from.

 

Michael is my full name but since I was very young everybody called me Mikey (small Michael because I took a long time to grow - I was 5'4" when I was 17 and come 19 I am the 6'2" I am today) and it really just stuck.

 

My online names have always included my real first name in some way.

 

Then ZA is the international code for South Africa so I stuck the 2 together and hey presto... Me

My real name means from the heavens or heavenly, so Hera, being a Goddess that reigns from above on Mt Olympus, fit fairly well. I did have previous names, but none of them really had any meaning, just names I had chosen. Hera it is now until I leave the game.

Mine is pretty boring. It is my name but I also use CammyJazz which is also a boring story but I'll tell it.

 

My dad calls me Jazz for two reasons. It is part of my middle name and when I started writing lyrics over his jazz records he said it fit ( I was into fusing hip hop and jazz in Jr. High). My brothers took that and started teasingly calling me Jazzy which stuck, although, I did prefer Cam or Jazz. The kids all call me Cammy so I just put them together. Those bums still call me Jazzy sometimes.

Adara means fiery noble beauty. Which seems to encompass most aspects of who I am. I am very passionate about everything I encounter. I am noble by nature and profession. I always try to find beauty in everyone and every situation, regardless of the circumstances.

Although some people may think I got my name from the movie/t.v. series; Buffy the vampire slayer, I did not. It is what my porn star name would be.

 

To find out what your porn star name is you take the name of your first pet and the street you grew up on, and there you have it. My first pet was a cocker spaniel named Buffy, and I grew up on Anne St.

Hudson came about due to the fact I was a big fan of the movie 'Cars', Hudson Hornet was my fav character cause he said very little but had many talents and cared for those around him. No that's a load of shit really  It was actually high up on the list of Top Twenty 'sexy' names.... that bit is true, Ok so I have Cars on DvD is that a crime

When I first started playing this game I would create random characters, then it turned sour and someone else in game gave me a name which I used for a long time. Then recently after several disagreements with a couple of friends I wanted a fresh start so I chose a name I would use if I had to change it in real life. Part of my name is something related to my real name and part of it is completely new. It's a name I really like.

A sengi is a type of elephant shrew, which is an African animal kind of like a rat/guinea pig/hamster thing with a long nose. I really like them. People have called me mousey and bookish in the past and I've called myself sengi online for a few years. I guess I'm admitting to the fact that I'm mousey.

Honestly .. mine just kind of clicked from something one of my good close personal friends said to me, when I was like ... eleventeen... (haha yes I said eleventeen). Anyway, I dont recall what I was doing, I think I I was talking too loudly in the library. (seriously btw, I was in the library). Anyway, I said something at a moderate volume, and my friend across from me just shouted "OH MY GOD ALI, YOU OH SO CRAZY." (Ive always been somewhat quiet, unless im in a very good mood, or around the right kind of people.) So its more of a tease at my expense, but everyone just pokes fun of me and is like "oh ali, shes just craaaaaazy". So, when i was deciding on a name, its the first thing I thought of hehe... but there it is. In all my improper grammar and everything. Enjoy.

my name is Erika that's what I was given, that's what I use, so I suppose its a bit boring. I have used others here like Wonder Woman, and Tinker Bell, and  Marilyn Munroe, just for fun really. like fancy dress, and I do have an alternate char with my nick name but that's between me and my closest friends.

I am Amelie. One boyfriend called my Amy, because he was american (GI stationed here). His favourite porn movie was an italian one called "The Armynurse" ... so I was his AmyNurse. And every time he sees me, he greets me by saying : "Hello Mister Rico !"

 

So I tried to make a fun word on my name with that !
