Best Rooms for Roleplay

Love building up stories and while the visuals are nice, connecting with people requires words.  It seems like either I'm bad at finding the right places or theres not many of them.  Where do you guys go or what rooms are best for roleplay scenarios?  Love the perverse but open to anything.

Think biggest problem most RP face is those that sometimes open and host rooms want to control large parts the roleplay, it's what I keep hearing from people that I have talked to. I assume those hosting rooms have their reasons for it, but just think its going to cause segregations and people to eventually stop coming, think it also cause another problem that sometimes said before. That whole group survive on back of few core serious RPers which are eventually going to get bored with no real newcomers and move on, creating drought in their RP until room eventually end collapsing on itself. Since serious RP and having to control aspects of RP not just providing room for visitors to use for their RP fantasies, are going to push many the more casual erotic roleplayers away.

But on other hand you could say if everything just casual RP its going to make those who want more RP turn away from it too, think best options would been if we had more public developer hosted RP themed rooms. Maybe potentially profile search where you could search up other roleplayers for small person to person RPs, if anything I feel that I have observed here is not many are overly in group RPs if it involves sex.

The biggest misunderstanding of many users, as I've been able to observe for some time now, is that they think RP is the same as fuck.
I've been running the Naughty Neighbors room for almost two years now. My warning now is, someone comes in, "Hello, I'm the new neighbor. Can you show me everything?" and the current step is, "come fuck". That's not the point of role-playing games.
I like it when people show up, live out their fantasies, play a role, that's what I offer the opportunities for. Developing stories with an erotic component. Every now and then I also start crime games embedded in it.
Unfortunately, that's not what most of those who call themselves RP'ers want.
Another shortcoming for many is a simple room rule: do not enter houses where there are already people without being invited.
this rule is intended to enable individual players, especially couples and single women, to play undisturbed and enjoyably without being showered with cold.
It's a shame that so few are seriously interested.

Think that is true also, but assume good portion of the time its when room start getting many coming. Then you get many room tourist mostly just come because it's crowded or to see what going on. Opposed to room title or theme actually being the draw or what was appealing to them, but yah some think RP is about texting sex and nothing else.

I sort of agree. Speaking as someone who has probably been accused of this, I can confirm it *is* a problem. But I wouldn't characterize it as room admins trying to control the roleplay. That's not what it is, at least not from the admins' perspective. It's more about trying to enforce certain standards to create an environment conducive to immersive roleplaying. Unfortunately, in an environment like 3DX, that means a constant struggle because this game just isn't an RP environment; at least not in the way that most hardcore RPers are looking for. So it ends up creating friction and sometimes resentment. In the end, I don't think it's worth it to try to enforce such strict standards, especially if they run counter to what 3DXChat is at its core: a sex game layered onto a 3D social platform.

I tried to have an RP room with such strict standards. It was very successful for quite a while. Arguably one of the most successful rooms at its time. But it couldn't last. As Tasha pointed out, eventually the more casual players drifted away, turned off by the strict rules. We were left with a devoted core group of hardcore RPers. I adore every one of them. But there just weren't enough of us to maintain the room. Lesson learned, and I hope others can learn from my mistakes. Keep it light. Give people room to have fun in a variety of ways. There *will* be room for immersive RP, but it doesn't necessarily require restrictive rules to create it.

It all depends on the type of RP you are into.  I see too many escorts in rooms where they really can't do much of anything but take up space.  I have my main set up as an escort and only work out of strip clubs and brothels.  It is great RP and you are not creating drama.  Just follow the rules of the room and have fun and make a little gold along the way.  My alt plays a cum dump and goes to rooms like the glory hole slut hole and sees escorts calling males in the room's silent stiffs in local.  Not a good way to build a clientele and basically shows how little they know about RP or going to the right rooms for what they are doing.  I seem to enjoy the RP with both avi but then again, I go to the right rooms to enjoy it.

A room that I joined once, last week (and I forgot the name of the room, and even the room owner's name) was a prison institution, where you had to wear a set of colors to be admitted into the RP game. Blue for officers, black for sadistic officers, orange top for inmates, and all orange if you were looking for abuse with the walls of the "Big House".

Surprisingly, the booking system was amazing, there were not many bothersome curious people, but that was partly because of the intricate system of hallways and rooms of the prison, so I guess people just wanting to see what was going on would soon leave or get caught for not having read the rules about color-coded clothing.

If I ever bump into this room again, I might add it as a suggestion, or if someone knows the room, please reply here...

Thank you all!
