User Validation, if you want to!

Hey Guys and Girls,

 

i was wondering if we could validate our User to see that there is a real person behind the Avatar.

 

It would take the game to a new personal experience and i think many would like that.

 

So if you want to you could upload a picture of yourself, holding a paper with your username on it.

 

I know that theres allready a topic about posting pictures about yourself, but these pictures could be from anywhere of the Internet.

 

But enough talking heres my picture!

 

 

I would be pleased if you could do the same, if you want to!

 

And please just post your Pictures here, im worried that this will be the same as the last Topic, filled with spam

Just an opinion from the other side of the grass. Not everyone wants to post a pic of their face with their name on a sex website. There are many reasons for it, couple of which that top my list are...security, consequences with family, personal and professional life.

 

If you do like someone, you can always share pics with them privately

These are all good points and I appreciate your concern, but this is entirely free, im not forcing anyone.

 

I understand that it is a problem to someone here, like Amy said, e.g. for your future Boss, but then he/she has to confess that he/she found you on a porn game site and i think thats the same problem.

 

I for myself dont hide, that im a registrated member of this game and i dont bother if someone in RL knows it.

It think his idea is cool for the ones that are into that sort of stuff and want to do it, whats not cool though is the ones coming in here to place their opinions where the on topic replies should have been...

 

Most here should be old enough to decide if their pictures should be here on this site or not, so its their call.

 

So why not let him and others that want this kind of thing have their topic to themselves instead of this? And if theres a discussion needed for this matter, could always make a new topic about it, im sure it would be interesting!

If people want to, or are willing to take that risk, then by all means it's their prerogative to do so. Remember though that the Google/Bing/Yahoo/Ask etc. web crawlers will find this information at some point and index it whether you include the robots.txt into the site or not. It will just take longer.

 

So a person doesn't have to search a porn site per say to find pictures of you by mistake. Targeted web searches are far more popular these days as is social media, forums and what not so you could easily be mistakenly found.

youre degrade/defame/disrespecting (Sorry i dont know the exact word, english is not my mother language) me and my Opinion.

Ingame or here in the Forums I am marked as the guy who postet a picture of himself and is begging to get pictures from Members. (Which is not the case)
I got several messages ingame that people dont want to talk to me, because of this.

I think im failing to see where it is headlined as a discussion, please do correct me if im wrong, but to me it seems this line "And please just post your Pictures here, im worried that this will be the same as the last Topic, filled with spam  :)" is saying he would like just the pictures if you want to post them and not something else.

1st I understand your topic aslong as your 'need' to have validation. I feel the same way about the things. However, with some slight differences.

 

I don't want/need everyone to validate. It depends on my proximity level to that person. 0,05% of my friends I had validation from and validated myself. And It's enough for me.

 

I have friends that I see in game 1 time a week. We never got involved sexually. Do I want them to validate? Of course not! Not all my friends have validated. And I'm fine about it.

 

You can validate but in a more private level. Like meeting someone in game and validate here in private through private messaging.

 

Also, you shall respect that many don't want to validate and won't validate. Maybe 5% of the people you meet in game or less will be willing to validate... And in that case you have to be ready to accept. Some don't want to show themselves... some might be insecure, etc.

 

 

Anyway, I do respect this topic and I think that everybody should do the same.

 

 

And another important thing. What do you want to validate? That your partner is a girl? A pic is not needed.... You can voice on skype and it's validated. However if you want to "validate" if your partner is attractive to you, that's another level of validation...
