Beaucoup d'autres sites laissent libre accès aux images externes sans aucun traitement supplémentaire ... ici nous devons transformer des images normales en images 3D beaucoup plus lourdes dans l'espace disque MO ... Sur l'un de ces sites, j'ai plus de 1000 photos et gifs (je n'utilise pas tout) dans mon "My Share" s'il y avait un problème de copyright les sites n'accepteraient pas ... ce n'est pas un problème de droits auteur non !! ce n'est pas non plus un problème de serveur ... le site sur lequel je suis a des serveurs 100X moins puissants qu'ici et pourtant tout fonctionne !! Comme je l'ai dit plus haut ... ce site permet d'intégrer le traducteur dans toutes les discussions de chat ... nous savons comment faire des vidéos de nos soirées ... nous savons comment confectionner nos vêtements et d'autres choses aussi ... Je vous montre un exemple ... cette cheminée est une de mes réalisations  ... I use a normal image that I embed in the building blocks thanks to a URL ... to do it I was forced to place this photo in my "my share" once in my my share the image has a site-specific URL and I can use it in my constructions ... it's that simple

There is no question of copyright, other games let us share our photos and images without having any problems.
On Thrixxx's Chathouse I use all my images, all my annimer gifs, etc etc and they have no issues with anyone.
So I don't see why 3DX would have problems, especially since Thrixxx is not the only game to give free access to images and photos !!
The pretext is purely and simply ridiculous, there is an innumerable number of images of textures which are not subjected to copyright.
For the construction of my chalet and my club I have a stock of more than 300 images (which I do not use all of course)
of course I have no pornographic type images because I believe that in my work pornography does not have that place.
I use my images to include textures that I like in the realization of my constructions and not imposed textures as is the case here !!
I use my photos that I place against the walls to dress up a room and make it more friendly and personalized !!
Here if I want to dress up a wall, I have to transform my images into 3D images which makes a room impractical even for me alone, the 3D photos being much too heavy.
I do not see right now why we could not have access to our images and photos freely !!
Our achievements and our events would be much nicer and more user-friendly and that would make 3DX even more attractive

Much as I would like the option, I doubt it will happen. Less Devs can come up with some means of disclaim themselves out of copyright issues that may come as result of people most possibly, who are gonna put things up which is copyrighted material like some have done in second life often without the artist consent. Add to this that EU been adding lots of copyright law changes in Europe as result of youtube, plus how many things music and works border in grey areas of if it's fair use or not.

Its definitely not copyright issues, as 3DX itself breaks many as it is, and there are company logos in many rooms and have been since the World Builder was released.  This is just another request, along with the other thousands of requests that they may or may not want to do.
I would love if they just added a couple of hundred scalable clip art for us to choose from and a text tool with varying fonts.

I'm pretty sure the Devs have no liability as long as they themselves aren't using copyrighted material. Using custom images and textures has been a part of RLC for over 10 years. That pretty much proves they can.
However, they would have to remove any usage of copyrighted material if a complaint was filed and ownership proven. They may not want to be bothered.
It's not that they can't provide this feature, it just that they don't seem to want too. 
They already have the ability to add images. The 3DX club images change from time to time.
Should have posted this elsewhere. The chances of them reading it in this thread are much less.
Would I like this feature? Hell yes. I could have games rules next to each game and lower prop counts when words are used.

Of course there are copyright issues, but nobody cares when copyrighted music is played in the rooms. But I'm no legal expert.

I thought section 230 of communications act did just this - in other words you can put what you like up as 3dx can't be expected to know whether images are yours, but they'd obviously have to take them down if people asked. It's like a book shop can't be expected to know that on page 230 of a 1000 page book the author added the ingredients to make some illegal device or encouraged some illegal act.

I'm not asking for the moon but just the possibility of using my images to put them as photos on a wall !! the 3dx world picture program only allows the transformation of plane images into 3d images !! too heavy ... too large ... too bulky in pixels ... a simple flat image placed on a wall would be much easier and less restrictive to produce and much faster in constructions there is no way to put simple photos on a wall !! everything must go through 3D and it does not work for me !! I'm probably too stupid to use this program but anyway all this manipulation just for a picture on a wall !! much too complicated when it would be so simple to let us use our images without having to worry about putting them in 3D when it is totally useless ...

There is not to say but 3DX is graphically, constructively and bearable (power of the servers) 1000X superior to the other site.
On the other hand, I am busy building my chalet here as I did on the other site, unfortunately I find myself stuck because I do not know how to use my own textures, images and gifs !!
On the other site I have a folder just for my chalet of 210 images and gifs which are all used for the different constructions of my chalet.
Example: for my kitchen I need light oak wood, pink marble, tiles, kitchen fronts, washing machine, dryer, dishwasher, built-in oven, extractor hood, microwave oven and refrigerator. .. pictures of real objects.
Due to the inability to import my images and gifs I don't know how to finish my chalet as I originally saw it.
This is of course just an example but I have to be able to choose my own tiling for the floors, be able to place feminine and masculine beauty products in the bedrooms, be able to build the cabinets with the texture of the wood that I personally choose on the net and not the imposed textures which do not suit me.
3DX is awesome in my opinion, the build interface is very easy and quick to learn but there are still some impressive shortcomings for a site of this quality.
Small construction comparison:
I started the construction of my chalet this Friday 09/25/2020, the structure and part of the furniture are finished.
There is still cooking and various things that I don't know how to do because of my own textures.
On the other site I took more than a month to build my chalet and I haven't finished yet, there are only a few details left to be able to open it to the public. 01/10/2020
My request is: would it be possible for you to work on the possibility of importing our own images and gifs so that we can customize our constructions optimally?

I need my normal images to put on the walls of my club ... I don't need 3D images, it's very useless and moreover it takes up a lot more space than the normal images !! I really need it because my club is dull and sad in this state !! my club is currently 3120kb ... if I place a single 3D photo my club exceeds 6500kb and there I am ko and I don't know how to do anything anymore !!! I am not here to not know how to do anything ... I do not pay to be blocked in my constructions !! I have already built a lot of things that I will share with the community ... but if I have to be blocked ... my achievements will remain secret ... it would be a shame because I am sure that my friends will find my achievements very interesting! !

Yeah, I think your right. they aren't to0 worried about it.
I honestly don't think it would effect their servers much. I have builds in an old world that have nearly 1000 images alone - and that is just one build of over 500,000+ builds - each with hundreds and thousands of images themselves each build.  
I agree we need more textures. However, if they made it so we can add our own, they wouldn't have to keep adding more materials. I'm sure in the long run, it would save them far more time than constantly having to add them themselves. Plus, they could limit the storage per person too X amount (maybe 25 megs). Hell, they could even make it that you could buy extra storage per month with Xgold for more.. 
 
While we are on this, would be nice if we could attach links to play youtube  and movies also would be another great feature.
 

Although hosting images on their servers is best and I'm sure Gizmo can set up if they wanted too, all we really need is the ability to attach a web link to something in the WE. Similar to posting a link and it appears in the forum. Plenty of 3rd party image hosts. Or, they give everyone "X" amount of storage space.
There are Pros and cons, but I think the Pros far outweigh the cons.

3DX is in my opinion great, the construction interface is very easy and quick to learn but there are still some impressive shortcomings for a site of this quality.
