Hello everyone and thanks for the people who have supported " Us " in our productions, we got some problems recently inside the group that I won't explain, just I can't allow that my partner lie to me, so I took the decision, can't work with someone being not serious and doing 80% of the work myself, that's all thanks for reading.

First, after a long absence because of work, I would like telling you I am coming back with so enthusiasm, ambitions and in good shape too !


And also another new, to advise you that now, I am working with new software and licences as exemple 3D Max, Zbrush and also the beta of "3 sweep".
This includes a better retopology and an improved creation. Of course, each of them will be in in collaboration with the devs and their permissions.
That is all I had to say you about my future come back.

I pretty much never go to the status updates page. If I want to see my friend's status or post there; I simply click on their profiles. There is always some drama going on and it is mostly manufactured. Those complaining about it creating it when it is really easy to avoid. I vote no. Ignore it. If you continue to get in your feelings about a status message, you want to be there as you are actively seeking it.

Well I don't share the opinion to punish everyone about someone who abuse the status messages permanently to provocate other players would be the solution

In the first view makes it more sense to restrict this rights for this persons who abuse it permanently. But this will also be useless because they will come back with new account and do it again.

If I read some status updates I think many times some stuff should be written in PM (group PM)
There isn't a general solution who made everyone happy! Only if ppl want could it work how it should.
Personal I don't care about this functions and I wouldn't also miss it.

 

No offense, but it's always the same people battling on the status messages. Other than that those same groups of people, there's only a few random isolated incidents.
Vast majority doesn't misuse it.
 
The stars rating was removed, because lets face it, who needs to rate others ? We all on same playingfield... so that removal made a lot of sense.
 
 
But remove the status messages ?
 
1/ You can decide not to post a provocating status that you know will get a reaction. Therefore you are part of the problem.
2/ You can decide not to respond to a provocation, and simply report it. Therefore you are part of the problem.
 
It's people's attitudes and tempers who need adjusting, not this feature.
 
 
You already have the option to lock your status to avoid responses, you already can decide to see only friends' messages.
But you can however ask for a better ignore option on forum that would prevent ignored people to visit your page or ability to post on your status.

And next? We have to shut down the hole forum because the harrasment will move into the forum threads. This board lags active forum moderation.

Voting has been better explained in the february contest topic, it was the same for January but if you dont understand how its done id recommend heading over to the new thread to have a look. Likes were taken out since its much less fair than the new system, which still isnt perfect, but atleast its better

Of course, there's a candle in 3dx! Are you sure you know what you're talking about at all ?
 
And, Amante, if you don't like Tauri's rules, why don't you start your own contest and implement your own rules? Come to think of it: if you think the rules are crap then why the hell did you join in the first place ???
 
Finally, about your opinion: yes, ofc you can speak your mind. It's not that you do it, it's how you do it. Charming like a sledgehammer. If you like yourself in that pose, well, it's entirely your own business.

In my opinion, the only solution to not liking the judges picks is to volunteer to be a judge yourself.

All that salt for not winning and whining about it will make contests like that go away some day...
 
Some should really get a grip and realize that art and beauty is in the eye of the beholder.

Whats art to some might not be to others, judges vote from what in their opinion looks the best to their eye, AHT's picture is amazing yes, but the people who voted found others that fit their taste better, there is no right or wrong vote, if we were consider everything we would need to be professionals which none of us are. Not everyone can win, there will always be pictures that deserved more, but thats just how it is, which is why i think people should enter this competition just to share their work, have it seen by more people than might see it if they posted it elsewhere.
 
As for edit to pictures in the unedited category, the main topic states that cropping, light adjustments and so on is fine since it doesn't really change the picture itself, which is why its allowed. And what you said about changing eye color, that doesn't count as a minor edit.

A big Thank You to the judges too, who invested time and effort to make their votes, afaik on a voluntary basis. Thanks, too, to all of you who had a look at the snapshots and honoured them with your likes!
 
And finally congrats to all the winners and all the posters! Some really good stuff in here again!!!!
 
And, please, may I humbly ask all of you to consider these contests as a possibility to show your pics, with a chance of actually winning something for it, and not as a life-and-death-competition? It would be so much more fun if the whole matter would be seen a little less serious :-)

@AmanteBish, that's a very hateful, agressive and disrespectful post you wrote here. Are you sure you mean it?
 
As to the matter of edited pics, I take it you did not read the rules about what is allowed and what is not ?
 
If you accuse a poster of stating an edited pic to be not edited (according to the rules), then you accuse them of active and deliberate cheating. Is that what you do?
