TashaTight
By franchises you mean what exactly, if it's stuff like Sunset, McDonalds etc.. I think they're copyright protected to some extend, think it's reason why you see games like Saints row or GTA sometimes use cars that resembles RL cars but slightly different and using different names to avoid lawsuits. But not sure if that was what you mean by franchises?
THX
McDonalds is a good enough easy analogy. RLC/utherverse used to have at least 5-6 other franchises independently owned in Germany, Russia, Italy, America and Brazil - and France? Franchises had some liberty in how they modified their franchise.
Rob.
RLC is known as a social game with sex poses. 3DX is known as a sex game turning into a social game, there have been team ups with some gamer girls that post live casts and there have been people posting on YouTube and PornHub but nothing that would interest them to here. THX
Both are the same imo. Both are adult content virtual worlds that require you to be 18+. Both have links to the porn industry. (Utherverse has far more involvement actually.) Both have worldwide user bases. Both are social and sexual. The difference between the two is engine age, user created content and economies, levels of moderation, etc.. The difference buisnesswise, is RLC has franchises still available to purchase, though due to the games age I don't see it as a good investment opportunity anymore. Especially, when the franchise Eros Islsnd went belly up in an epic fail; and 3DX does not have franchises - yet. My question remains the same: Has there been any thought to making franchises available? What would be the costs be? How much flexibility would there be in modification (ex. Could a micro economy be added, clothing editor, user created content, what limits would exist if any.) What company support would be offered to the franchisee? Etc.. THX
Hopefully, when the time is right, thought will be given to making competative franchises.
