new patch problems?

3dxchat.exe gets replaced with updates, so you setting will probably be reset with every patch. But you can create a batch file to run 3dx and set its properties to always run as admin

I've got a completely different problem after patching. patch seemed to work fine, i can launch the game but it just loads indefinitely. it doesn't get to the character selection.

Xani, I just checked this. the exe is running in admin mode, but Gyazo is working fine :-)

I was able to get the program to load & open up with the new patch to use it now but when I try to install the dll it stalls and refuses to load and open for me

fixed the update problem by right clicking the app on my computer(3dxchat) and running it as administrator 


worked like a charm

Just had to come back to this topic with the new patch.  Maybe someday they'll figure out people are on Windows 10 and use the UAC tools to update.

It works by prompting for permission when a task requires administrative rights, such as installing software or changing settings that affect other users.

 

 

I am not really sure why anyone would expect 3DX to teach people how to use their own computers. But if you are using Windows, don't know what UAC is, and are having trouble with patches, then it might be a good idea to learn more about what UAC is and how to use it.

Honestly I am getting a little tired of constantly reinstalling this program. I dont use it all that much to begin with but it seems every other time I try to log in I have to uninstall and download and reinstall.
