  1. @atalameckHere is a big tip for you that I noticed has not been mentioned in the replies that may help you understand the situation a little better. When an Object or project is saved in the world builder, it is saved to the coordinates in the world, and when it is merged or loaded it will load wherever it was saved at. So, it DOES NOT go to a default location every time. This is why you are unable to see some things you load from a download because it depends where it was originally saved. Best practice as stated previously is save your world then completely delete all props then load the file and place it where you want it to load and save it and make sure you replace the original so it doesn't get confusing, then either once you have it in place merge your original world file, or load your world and then merge your relocated world file. Either way achieves the same thing Unfortunately there is not a default save rule for the builders as there are soooo many talented builders out there it would be difficult to achieve such a scenario. Happy Building
  2. I would recommend using Radio Boss and Icecast, that's what I use and it works flawlessly. Icecast is free no limitations. Radio Boss has an internal server as well, a rare feature most do not have. The way I have mine setup is I stream to my room with the internal server, and when I host my music site and web page or need to stream http I stream through my icecast server. If all you are looking to do is stream to your room, then you don't even need a streaming server, you can just use the internal server in Radio Boss. Also the input for the radio station should be in this format: http://your.radiostationaddress.xxx/station name if applicable. Hope this helps
  3. I think the best answer is to allow the end user to disable it in their viewer. That way if you are like me, and can't stand WC, it can just be disabled from your world And the worst part in my opinion is the game forces it upon the users. Whenever you enter the world editor it is forced upon you as it opens when entering the editor. I personally really dislike it all together just because of all the negativity in there, it is totally unnecessary no matter if you believe your argument is right. One thing I have always wondered is why it is in there to begin with? What is the purpose? If I had my way, it would be completely removed from the game.
  4. There is no way to change anything that has to do with VR. We are stuck with what we have for now. They are doing no development or most likely have no plans for future updates to the VR code in the game. Here is what Gizmo said about the state of VR developement: Hey @SerenityWillow Thanks for your feedback. Back in 2013, we added VR support to the game. Then we had one of the first Oculus Rift DK1 (Dev Kit 1) helmets. Later around 2017, we updated VR support for the Oculus Rift CV1 helmet. At this point, Oculus no longer sells CV1 and a new model Oculus Rift S is available for PC. We also constantly update the version of the game engine, change the game code and something may be broken. Thanks again for your feedback. When we decide to work on improving the VR component, we will take into account your comments. So I wouldn't expect anything changing anytime soon.
  5. If thickness is an issue double the door, I use this method a lot as I hate really thin doors.
  6. @Angelqueen it is called the undo hehehe But awesome advice Thank you for sharing that, going to try it out sometime
  7. I have tried running a room 24/7 I have a really good pc to run as the server and even made a room host account to park there. it worked great.......... until they restart the game or there is some sort of internet issue. You have to be there all the time just to restart your room back up. So I found in the end it is kinda a waste of time and money to do this. Now if there was a way to auto-start your room and republish it to others, it really is not worth the hassle. Granted the server restarts are not common place as before, but for the reasons I said previously, it still is not worth the time or work to do it.
  8. I wrote up some tips you may want to check out, it is the best way I could figure out after hours of trial and error.
  9. This is what I do, the only drawback is it only makes round holes. There is an object in the editor that looks like a half square with a half circle in it. I simply copy and rotate around to make the hole, then build around it. If you want just a hole it can be resized both ways to make it oval , say, since it is an identical shape with the same geometry and there is only 2 objects. Just make sure your editor is set for center and not pivot. I have attached a picture with the object in question circled in red. Hope this helps.
  10. A little tip for the builders using stairs, resize the stairs from the bottom that way your stairs are still lined up with where they are positioned. Z Axis at .99999 Just a side note all the stairs that I resized I used the transform box and manually set the height and the stairs stayed put in place. Hope this helps others.
  11. @Hincholas the stream security is most likely not the issue. I have a streaming server that is streaming on HTTP protocol and works fine. I can also stream HTTPS protocol as well but there is not really a need to as there is nothing secure being transmitted and it is easier to set up that way as well. I would suggest trying this: input the stream address in a browser and if it plays in there and not in game it is an issue with the game. If it doesn't play that means there is an issue with your computer setup. I would also recommend that you check your sound settings in windows as well. Sometimes it will use an alternate sound source when using the game, I know sounds wierd but it has happened to me before. May not be the cause but definitely something to check. This way you have a starting point to troubleshoot the issue further. Hope this helps
  12. Thank you for the reply Diana Prince. Where would be the focal point of the camera as there is no dot or obvious markings designating the focal point. Sorry for all the silly questions, I am just trying to resolve this as it makes me crazy sometimes building. I really appreciate your input on this, you have been helpful.
  13. Thanks for the replies JenC and Diana Prince. Diana Prince, could you please explain in a little more detail on where the camera is positioned. How do I position the camera and where should it be positioned? As I stated there is no 3d cursor like in blender, so how DO YOU position the camera? Still confused here
