It's never been because of a "DDO's" attakc. It's just that the servers are so trash that they can't handle this player base anymore. They sugarcoat it with shit like DDO's just to calm you down and play down on their own mistake, cuz DDO's isn't the companies mistake right? Lol. Such a sad story.
But Gizmo, I hope you take these two last days of the week and upgrade the server to one that can handle this big numbers and then we'll talk about serious updates... Cuz thats the only one people want.

As the title, we are experience many bugs and glitches since the DDoS attack AND 415 patch.

I could understand massive disconnections (probabily another attack?) but empty friend list and, again, huge problem to load personal and other profile is inacceptable.

I hope everything will be fixed soon!

Sexyboyy reacted to Ashbash in Important Subscription Information.
    Hello there 3DXChat Community!

Due to popular questions being asked in game and Forum by people up on how the subscription system works, I shall write here, explaining how it works in detail, for information to you all so you all understand clearly how the subscription system works for the future.

The subscription system is an interesting one. If you still have an active sub, do not activate any new subs at that time, because it will overwrite it and you'll lose your remaining days on your presently active sub.

Also, if you're on the recurring sub, please cancel it and wait for your current sub to expire then you can activate your new subscription plan/pre-paid codes.

To cancel a recurring subscription fee, please go to here and use your details given to you on your receipt of purchase, not the login details of the game, but the details sent to you in email from BMT Micro, confirming your subscription plan. (Usually with your Order ID etc...)

Then once that is cancelled and you can no longer log in the game when the remaining days of your cancelled sub are over. Go to here and copy and paste your subscription code in the code box and make sure there are no spaces before or after the code as it will come up as invalid. Then write your email of the account you currently log in to the game with. IMPORTANT: Make sure your email is correct, letter for letter, number for number. And the correct web extension .com , .co , .net etc... As one error can make you a whole new account and you'll then need to contact support to fix it.

Also it works for the recurring subscription plans here. I hope this helps, although the support center explains some of this, it doesn't explain it in full details, which is why I am writing it here for you all to read and understand.

Hopefully it will save some of you guys and girls, from losing days you already have saved as I have seen people lose weeks worth of days due to their thoughts thinking the subscription system would extend and "Add-on" the new time on their current sub, but this is not the case.

P.S. The Pre-Paid Cards never expire, so don't worry that you may have to use it in a certain time frame, once bought, the code is valid forever, until used.

    Regards
    Ash

    Question:

Is this DJ Drama fixed? Or is it needed to write again and again the same things?
I ask only because I want use my weekend for the new process and make it perfect but I didn't want come out if we have still war in the community^^

In my opinion is this topic a one big drama and a personal attack and should be removed but I'm the reason for this drama and I'm biased and I do not Moderate my own Dramas for this needs a neutral Moderator and it seems there isn't one.

I made it possible for everyone with the new selection to become a DJ also for this persons who abused already my trust in the past!!!

It's also not again needed to contact me, this wills not help to become a DJ in the future. The new process will work automatic and to 75% transparency (only to 75%?) yes because I will not explain in public the reasons for disqualification of Members or DJ's.

Ones is sure: honest DJ's with legit content of Music of official Music shops and Software for stream, who follow the Community & DJ Rules will never have a problem or lose her access also did no one in the past lost his access without reason

I think with this should this topic be answered???

I believe this drama has ended, as it just seems to be some people trying to cause more trouble when it is not needed. I shall lock this topic. But if anyone who was here has anymore concerns or questions send a pm.

As I said in my previous post, anyone can be a DJ aslong as they fit the criteria that is required and have a good ability to DJ.

Also those who are inactive, get their accounts disabled and are no longer a DJ as they won't be able to connect to the streams and will need to reapply to get access again like everyone else.
There is also a lot of requests each day requesting to DJ, both Achilles and myself get messages of this. So it takes time to process it all and reply to each one whilst still busy with other duties and real life.

Patience is key and it is important, indeed some may be waiting a little long than they had anticipated but they will get their chance if they are patient and really want to do it. All rules and guidelines are sent to the person requesting to DJ so they know what they must and must not do. There is no ego boosting in DJing in public, if you think that, then that is not the right thing to think about it. As DJing is all about entertainment. It is there to entertain the community and to bring music to the people of the game.

Myself I stepped away for awhile and stepped down as an official DJ but I will return someday, but I don't go around calling myself an official DJ here despite my inactiveness it's why I removed the 3DXChat DJ line from my profile. But if people are still going around calling themselves official djs despite being inactive then something is wrong there lol and whenever I have DJ'd in areas there has always been communication and socializing going on amongst the people of the community, because I socialise with them, talk to them, take requests from them if it possible and fits with the theme I am portraying across for the event I do. But yes, Indeed the areas are usually quiet or unresponsive, but that is what socialising to the crowd is for talk to the people whilst you DJ whether it be through voice or text keep them in the loop, make them feel apart of your performance, don't make them feel like they are just "Clients" so to speak, as they are not. They are as much apart of the event as the DJ. But a DJ must never see themselves as above the community and the listeners, as that is rude, disrespectful and can be a possible removal of your DJing permissions in the public area.

I'm sorry but I am kinda offended by parts of this post. Suggesting that the only reason we do this is for our own ego? Does it not seem logical that some people just really have a passion for music and like to share with others?

Here's something most of you are not aware of... Everyone thinks... hey I want to do that!!!  I want my turn!!  Let me explain everything so you understand fully.
First off, you cannot public stream with illegal software or illegal music. All those mp3s you converted from youtube... yes those are illegal and cannot be used. You also must use proper mixing / broadcasting software, which means no winamp.

Cost of streaming server... average about $10 / month depending on where you get it from.
Cost of software licence... I use VDJ 8 which the pro licence is $20 a month
Cost of music access... I use a service from VDJ called "Content Unlimited" which is $10 / mo (if you want to even think about taking requests, you will need access to a similar service)

So this is just my costs... roughly $40 a month that I pay out of my pocket just to do this. That's not even including the 3dx subscription.

And to have people tell me that I have a big ego and i'm doing this all for me. LOL You really don't want to know what I think of that... how about this... simply... if you don't like the music in 1 area... go somewhere else. Many people here know and will tell you, I heave streamed for 6-8+ hours at a time at Love Island taking requests the entire time and I have had countless people PM me and thank me for making their night more special.

And to suggest that the DJ is a small part of why a room has a lot of numbers makes me laugh. The parties with good DJs pull in a lot of people. That's facts. That doesnt mean a good DJ will always get high numbers... but you will not get 70+ in a room with bad DJ, that i can promise you.

Any good DJ here will agree that there's so much more to it than simply playing music. Reading how people react, knowing which tracks go good with one another, knowing what people want to hear. Theres so much more to being a good DJ than using winamp and playing random illegal tracks from youtube. There are people who will understand this, and there are people who will not.

If you have made it this far, thank you for putting up with my rant. In essence, I do this because I am and always have been passionate about music. Do I get a bit of an ego boost from it? Well of course I do but that's not why I do it. The idea that I have affected even just a few people and helped them to have a better night makes me feel fantastic.

Well it is true. You said privately, there are 2 DJs for Sin already, who do a great job by the way, I am not knocking them at all. If there are another 4 who are inactive, why are they still official DJs?

While I respect that it is a tough job being a moderator and it is done in your personal time, it is ultimately something you agreed to do. Other DJs give up their time to make this community be a better place (myself included). Therefore it would be fairer on all to have a complete review on who is an official DJ and who is not. Just because you became an official DJ one year ago, doesn't mean that you should continue to be. With being an official DJ should mean being active in the community as well as attracting people to a public area. Public areas are still dead and more active DJs is surely a way to help provide a much needed boost in game.

Maybe even have a third moderator who's sole responsibility it is to coordinate events and official DJs for public locations.

This is about being fair, especially for rock DJs. There is Fresco, Night Club, Love Island and the yacht all suitable for EDM. That is great for all the EDM DJs. All the rock DJs pretty much get is Sin Club. This is fine, yet I am told that Sin Club has exclusively 2 DJs.

How is this fair for other rock DJs? You say exclusive and this implies that other DJs will never get the chance until the exclusive DJs leave the game. It sounds like me and DocQ both can play legal music, both have the backing of the community, have streams capable of supporting large amounts of people etc.

Also, you say it is not about popularity, but in a way it is. If a DJ brings a lot of people then this snowballs into other people staying and sticking around. New people come into the game and see a busy venue and it looks good on the game. Some locations are still dead even when an official DJ is playing (yacht especially). Mix it up a bit by giving more DJs a chance, otherwise it does get to the point where it feels like it is not fair and serving the needs of a few rather than actually serving the needs of the community as a whole. We have given months of our time to this game, serving the community. It would just be nice to get some recognition for the effort we put in to the making 3DX a better place every week. We are not just DJs who play music, we also promote parties, have specific rooms, coordinate other DJs and members. There is a lot more that goes on behind the scenes than just rolling up and playing music.

Also, you say this is not about a contest of who has been here the longest. I have been in game for a while now, I have been doing weekly DJing now for 7 months. I have given a lot to the community, previously as the DJ for Eros Mama Group, with many memorable nights such as Pink Breast Cancer Awareness Rock Night and now as Temple Of Lust. Not just me, but also LadyLiliana and Eraphia who have worked hard to make these groups, making the community a better place, bringing people and good music together. Being told by many people we host the best parties in 3DX.

Jess. You say the default music is crap, but that is your opinion. I don't believe it is up to official DJs to decide "this music is rubbish, my music is better" and then switch on an ad hoc basis. There needs to be some control in place. With official DJs there should be official events for the public locations. If you want to do your own thing, then open up your own room and DJ. At the moment we appear to have exclusive DJs who can change when they want and I can see why there is a limit with that system on the amount of DJs. However, with a more controlled, like at this date and time we have DocQ, at this date and time we have JessicaX etc. that becomes a lot fairer for all. At the moment it is just serving the needs of the selected official DJs.

To summarise. As keeps coming up, this is about fairness for other DJs.

It just seems like it has turned into a popularity contest instead of having great DJ's all the time.  I have heard of people waiting longer then me, that get by passed by the DJ that shall not be named, and they will give auditions to people that are brand new to the game...

Then there is the part that EDM music is playing at the Fresco, and A DJ will take over and just continue to play EDM music.  Just doesn't make since to me, lets have DJ's play a variety of music, not just the same thing that would be playing anyway....

Being a DJ is all about entertaining people.  Most DJ's dont even talk over the mic, let alone take requests or entertain people...

When I was working at a radio station years ago, they encouraged talking and joking around with the fan base, not jsut putting them to sleep playing song after song after song.

I don't think this is a case of buying the song legally or even streaming the song legally using a service like Apple Music or Spotify. To play music legally in public then you need a license to play it. I have been doing some research and that is around £600-800 per year to legally stream music. There are probably very few who have such a license even the "official" 3DX DJs.

There is also the issue of who you let stream. I have DJed for months now with parties every week usually attracting 50-70 people a week. I take requests legally using Apple Music and I have a good reputation in 3DX. Not just in Temple of Lust but also previously in Eros Mama Group where rock nights became a staple of Friday nights. I think there are a few that could make the same case.

While I understand that Achillies and Ash have a tough job and have a lot of requests to stream in public places I can understand the frustrations of DJs (myself included) who have large followings, legal music and able to support up to 200 people yet receive push back.

Obviously I completely agree that music should be legally acquired in the first place. However, if a DJ is popular and has a large following in 3DX then they should be given an opportunity because that ultimately brings more people to the public areas which is good for the 3DX community.

One objection I do have is how official 3DX DJs can just come and change the public stream in public rooms as and when the mood takes them. If a member is granted permission to stream in a public area then it should only be for pre-planned events. This way it makes it a lot fairer for all. For example, rather than having an "official" DJ for Sin Club, have guest DJs that are given access during a specified time and date. This gives other rock DJs a chance. Same is true for all other public areas. This is by no means a dig at the official DJs and will happily work beside them to make the whole thing a bit fairer for all.
