  1. I don't think it is actually works this way. People create something primarily when they have a desire to create. Yes, some idea like "I want to make a replica of my real life apartment to make my naughty adventures in game feel more real" or "I want to build that stylish futuristic nightclub I saw in that sci-fi film" sure can give a motivation to create and learn, but only when a person has that basic desire to build and create. When they are lacking this desire - less free shared and editable rooms will not make them create more. It will only make them chose from less options and make their user experience more poor. I do understand though that content creators have no obligation to make other users' experience better. It's clearly a voluntarily act and not a duty. I am just saying that you should not expect that it will make other people more creative. It most probably will not. The real problem that I see with a non-editable files is that it can create conflicting and unpleasant situations when it'll come to selling world files. Yes, a fair and honorable person will openly state that file that they sell is non-editable and will make a protentional buyer aware of that fact before the purchase, but not everyone are this way. And some people may think that its not in their responsibility to make the buyer aware of it, especially considering that non-editable files definitely going to sell worse than editable ones. And if their protentional customer not going to ask about it before the purchase - author may even feel like they did nothing wrong with selling non-editable file without notifying about it. Which may lead to the drama when the buyer will discover that they can't even move a couch or add a table to the place they just bought and will feel scammed. Another drama may happen if someone will find a way to crack the non-editable files protection and will share such an instrument. Which very possible to happen, even Denuvo that costs huge amounts of money is getting broken again and again. And then, if such tools will eventually be released, each and every non-editable file that content creators shared will be in danger. And you will not be able to take it back, because who knows how many people already downloaded it. I can only guess what a huge drama going to happen in 3dxchat's community if such a thing will happen and how much hate 3dxchat's dev team going to face from some creators if this will happen.
  2. But why would people buy the room without password? I mean, if you would be stating it clearly before the purchase that you are selling room without password. Like... What the point of buying a place if you can't even change a color of the wall or change some furniture. Even if devs going to add some new objects with poses (like table, or pillory, or cage)- a person bought such a room would not even be able to add it to "their" home. While instead they could download one of, probably hundreds at this point, freely available rooms and truly own it, being able to do what they want. And if you are going to sell your rooms without notifying pre-purchase that you are not going to provide the password - then it would be kinda scummy.
  3. Wow, that's insane. Most of that thread is just their endless complaints and requests to ban someone.
  4. But even if password protection would be invented... If people going to sell their rooms - they going to give this password to customers, right? Who in their right mind going to buy a room without option to edit it? What the point in having "your" place if you can't even move a couch to another wall? And if people going to have a password - they could share the room and the password - just like they could share the room itself now. And even if author going to send individual password to each customer to know who shared it if they'll do - then what stops customers to change the password if they already have the room and the password? I don't understand how such a system would work and how it would help at all. Anyway, I think 3dxchat still lacking so much important features... Genitals customization, so many lacking clothes - still not even having panties with new material system - and if we talk about world editor - we still don't have a custom texture feature, don't have text feature (Yes, I know that you can download texts, but its not convenient way to use and it takes a lot of space and resources), we still have so little props, often forced to make/download each element of furniture individually. There are so much things that lacking and in my opinion any of these are more important than spending time on some kind of password protection on world files that probably not going to work like intended anyway.
  5. @dougthedog Not sure it's safe to post your invoice here. You can contact support through this page: https://3dxchat.com/support/ As "3DXChat account email" you can use email you were using while paying, for me it was always have been the same one. Though I have to say sometimes it takes them a lot of time to answer.
  6. And what do they have aside of character editor? They announced their game about a year ago and now after a year of development all they have a character editor? It does not even have clothes still. And its so terribly optimized that having only one 3d model under the lights puts my 3060 to the 100% load. Yeah, 3060 is a budget card but imagine what's going to happen if there will be not a one avi - but 50 in the club full of lights. What kind of GPU you'll need to run it smoothly? 4090? You peeps are getting impressed way too easily. It's a 2023, technically impressive graphics now is not something available to make only by highly professional developers, everyone who learned basics of working with UE5 can make something cool looking using it. But there a big difference between having an actual game with some optimisation, stability and content and just have a pretty graphics and nice customization. Even if this game is not some failed project or scam to get money from early access - it will be at least couple of years before its in properly playable state with decent amount of content, but considering that they working on it for already and year and has only character editor - probably it will take more.
  7. That's just my thoughts about it as I am not in any way related to developers team, but I believe that release of update is delayed because of some code/stability issues and errors. And well, only programmers can fix it. Like... they can't just make the animator / artist to fix errors in game's code. So probably they keep working on clothes/poses and other stuff while Gizmo or whoever doing coding in their team trying to make the game work properly. Or at least I hope so, because what I see on beta server is... nice for sure, but it's just not enough to justify such a long waiting time.
  8. @Twiggy Higher quality meshes sure would be great but it means that devs would need to adopt every piece of clothes for these new meshes, right?
  9. I totally agree that 3dxchat's avis need better skin texture, but 4k and especially 8k might be an overkill. Just look at the GPU statistics at Steam: https://store.steampowered.com/hwsurvey/videocard/ It's still has 1050ti, 1650 and 1060 among the most used GPUs - and yes, I know they are good enough to handle 4k textures without problem, BUT not when there is a custom made room with 50+ people inside. And average GPU of 3dxchat's user might be even worse because there are a lot of people here who are not gamers in general and play on integrated graphics. Good 2k textures would be enough and already would give game's visuals a HUGE boost. I was playing Fallout 4 with mods few years ago on a pretty weak PC so I was using CBBE bodies with basic 1k textures back then - and still these textures was looking more realistic than skin in 3dxchat. A proper 2k textures would be enough to skyrocket game's visuals when it comes to naked bodies. Or... Maybe it would be good to give people a choice - 1k/2k/4k skin textures in settings. That would be really nice. Totally against it. I realise that it might be irritating for some people, but its how a huge percentage of community plays. I myself tend to just sit somewhere in public location doing other stuff on my PC - and when I hear the sound of private message I usually answer. Like... you are yourself saying about 80 out of 90 people sitting afk/half-afk (I am sure that real numbers are not THAT big though) - so why should so much people lose their comfort? I mean... its like saying that your comfort is more important than their comfort.
  10. And what do we get from it? Getting forced into microtransactions?
  11. It's not about being a sheep. At least not for everyone who are prioritizing rooms with big numbers. It's a lot about what people looking for in game. And most people here not for good rooms. It does not mean that people love mediocre and straight up shitty rooms, it just means that rooms quality is not a priority for most. Most people here for virtual sex of different kinds, from lifeless colds to delicious erotic roleplay with a lot of purple or some lovense included plays and everything in between. And where it is easier to find a partner, in a room with 50-100 people or with 0-10 people? I can openly state that I am in 3dxchat first and foremost for erotic roleplay. I know that on this forum such a "confession" may seem like a shameful cringe, but whatever, it's about this forum, not about the game - if we'll look at the game it will be obvious that most people looking for some virtual lewds in one form or another. And yes, It does not mean that I can't enjoy other aspects of the game, I can appreciate a good looking room, I am even using a self-build room as my own place and spent fair bit of time in world editor. But its all about priorities. Yeah, sometimes I feel like looking at the good room. So let's say I'll drop at, for example, moon landing location. I'll spend few minutes - looking around - either walking or looking with free camera. Very probably that I will enjoy what I see. And what I am supposed to do after it in a room with 3 people online and not really suitable for ERP themes? I will just leave - and go to another room. Maybe I'll feel like checking another little room (just to leave it soon again) - or maybe I'll just drop in a room with a lot of peeps where I can get hit on or chose from many profiles someone I like to write myself. Yeah, great fucking idea. Let's ruin the fun for all these people who are flirting / fucking / just having a good time in a room when it will get automatically closed, just so you and other builders with hurt ego can feel better about themselves.
  12. Do you really expect people to read such an amount of text without paragraphs and punctuation?
  13. You can try to use FPS Limit in settings. In average it might help not loading your GPU to 100% and keeping temps lower. You also might consider turning off reflections and setting detalisation range to high instead of very high. These two options eat very much resources in some rooms without giving THAT much to the picture. Just like RT in most modern games lol. But... 3dxchat IS pretty capable of loading 3050 to 100% even with fps limit lets say to 60, it can get very GPU hungry when it comes to large public rooms with a lot of people. Honestly, would be nice if devs would add new DLSS / FSR to the game, in 2k and 4k resolutions it makes game load GPU much less while keeping the picture very good on quality preset, sometimes even better than it would look in native with TAA of FXAA. Though I am not sure how hard/easy it is to implement, I am not a developer, but I know that even modders were adding DLSS / FSR to some games through the mods and considering that devs upgraded game to a newer engine I think its possible, right?
  14. I don't think that manually making the price is actually a good idea at least without making a tight price limit. Some people can go scummy with this and make it like 10.000 xgold for a glass of wine - and someone can just buy it without looking at the price. It's just how human psych works, when it comes to "cheap" little things - some people sometimes buy them without even bothering to look at the price. I personally would be happy enough even if food and drink would cost as much as it is now, but if devs would make it free for room owner and also for guests IF room is open for group/friends or if you just manually invited person to your apartment. So basically leaving consumables paid only when it comes to opening room for public. And if its about making more xgold leave the game... Well, just make a commission higher, not 90-10 but like 80-20 or 70-30. But making us pay for drinks in our own place and making our romantic partner or friend to pay for everything when they come to our place just feels wrong tbh.

    3DXChat Development Update 1

I dunno, I am not game developer myself. Are you? If we believe Xaufin's words it can take up to several months if things not going smoothly and they obviously has some theory and practice to back up these words, and I have an internet friend who works with Unity and I heard something close to that info from him as well when I was asking questions. So I kinda see no reason not to believe this information. Depression is a big word. We are talking about game. Yeah, a game that makes people emotionally involved a lot, but still a game. If someone really getting depressed because of lack of update in a game they clearly should check their life priorities. But I sure can understand that people feeling some negative emotions about it, I am a little frustrated myself, not gonna lie. Though I don't really understand what you expect from devs here. They have a business partner. They most probably have some kind of a contract with their partner, that involves some kind of obligations and responsibilities. What do you expect from 3dxchat's team? Tell Lovense "Hey guys, we know that we have a contract and stuff but we will not post advertisement because people on our forum feeling depressed about lack of update, so we will not be posting anything till update released!" I mean... It does not really work like this.

    3DXChat Development Update 1

Honestly, I don't get this take. I mean "instead" part in particular. Migrating game to another engine can take months of work as @Xaufin said. Making a merch post will take... how much? A hour of time? Anyway, I pretty much doubt Gizmo writing merchandise posts himself, probably partners just asked him to post it - and why not if it provides game with more money and causes no harm...
  17. There is nothing wrong with it. Actually, its pretty good that 3dxchat is getting advertised. More people = more money, who knows, maybe eventually they will be able to hire more staff and we will not have to wait half year for update. Also more people good not only from business side of things, but for player experience as well. Bigger online = more people to connect with, easier to find people you like. I mean, I sure do share your frustrations about not having an update for so long and not even having proper communication about it from devs since last blog post, but I don't think there is anything wrong with advertisement and merchandising. 3dxchat is a good game (or metaverse, call it whatever you want) even with its very slow updates, or we would not be paying subscription and playing (many of us for years already).
  18. Today I noticed that gallery's pics quality got much worse. And I am not talking about just my gallery, I am talking about each gallery I checked. Is something wrong on my side or others noticing it too?
  19. Xizi

    Ignore?

You only will receive a message if you are in the room hosted by a person who is ignoring you. You will be kicked out of it. In all other cases you will not receive any kind of message if person ignores you, unless you open their profile. Nope, it's not the only way. They could open your profile through the gifts, and it does not even have to be your gifts to them. They simply can find someone who has a gift from you and get to your profile through a link from the gift. It also possible that you were talking with them and went offline but they could be online for many hours and still have chat tab with you open - this way they also can iggy you even if you already offline for hours.
  20. Wow it's already 4 years since then! It feels so weird to read my post from these times... Time flies so fast! Have to say though, Gizmo and team added everything from that post aside of clothed sex Don't know why they still not letting us have it... If it would be technically impossible, it would not be in DLL, right?
  21. I know that engine update can be very important. My previous reply to Maria was of a sarcastic nature.
  22. Yeah, indeed, I am pretty sure a competent team would go through an engine migration in a few days... It's just a tiny unimportant little thing to update an engine, right?
