  1. The game isn’t dead, yet. I agree that it doesn’t feel as vibrant as it used to. Yes, people have left. And new people are often dissatisfied and disappointed with the reality of the game and it’s almost nonexistent development. But for some people it’s never been about the game. For some the game was just the framework in which they found friends and a community. That counts for something. Is the game dying? Perhaps. But it doesn’t mean we should give up on it just yet. The game is dying, but everything dies. It’s not truly dead till the last of us walks out the door. We are the game.
  2. The DND mode would be a nice addition. Personally I think I’m against the Online notifications for the reasons others have outlined before. That said, personally I would not mind if my friends list had the option for me to automatically show what room I’m in. But that would have to be an option people can toggle on for themselves. Not something forced.

    Dead or nah?

There’s a simple thing to save time on the immersion part. Just Roleplay yourself. Instead of having to work out a background or likes for the character, you just have to think up a ‘why is he here?’ In AG’s Coriolis Bar. You could just be Jack the space tourist. Or something.

    Dead or nah?

Not only are they rare, they also tend to be run in Friends Only or Group Mode. To prevent random people wandering in and disrupting the RP. Last open RP room with an attempt at a narrative that I know of was Slutmoore Extra Credit. But they shut down due to the owners burning out. Still miss that place.
  5. First virtual encounter in 4 months and it was a fun one Lounged about in the RP neighborhood, and got spotted by a friend. We chatted and caught up, but while we did that another person started RP’ing spying on us. My excitement grew and catching up became flirting and progressed to some fun and hot sex on a couch. And all the while this unknown guy kept acting out spying through the window. It was so hot and fun~ Such a nice way to return to form~ Be safe out there, and have fun!
  6. Three months and a few days. That’s how long it’s been since I’ve been able to truly enjoy 3DX. But today’s the day. Derai is back where she belongs, among you folks. Be seeing y’all soon. Stay safe, have fun. And above all, don’t be a dick!
  7. Good suggestions. Good luck in getting anything in response from the Dev though. Many people use an Alt for the building part by the way. But a DND state would be easier.
  8. Kinda proves that they don’t actually care. Or at least not enough to read and respond. This thread will probably be locked and deleted next time they remember they have a forum. Meh…
  9. Ok boomer. Pretty sure you’re an older player than most folks now commenting in this thread so. But enough derailment. A few posts back someone brought up the room list filter. That’s supposed to be in the next update. But in true Gizmo fashion that promised update is coming ‘soon’ for the last months. My feeling is that we’re going to get it around Christmas. Maybe. Who knows? Might be Christmas 2045
  10. Never said I only now figured it out. But we have some newer players that might read this, so it makes sense to repeat it. Also what does the ‘Old people in Sin Club’ have to do with anything? You keep bringing that up everywhere.
  11. The thing is that with their level of ‘communication’ they could be gone, and we’d only know about it when the data center doesn’t get paid anymore. Same with the week long outage a few years back. Gizmo was on vacation and nobody else was available to reboot the game server. Not a very good way of running a company. But calling it a company might be overstating it. Feels more like a Indie Dev running things from his garage aside from his 9 to 5 job.
  12. <SNIP> Right… And how gullible would people have to be to take the word of a self-proclaimed ‘hacker/modder’ to ditch the game and go join the malware infested pirate copy whose ‘development’ is just them duct taping other stolen shit onto the outdated 32bits 3DX client. Get real mate. Cool story though.
  13. I’m frankly amazed that the cooperation with Lovense didn’t improve anything. Makes me wonder if that company is regretting the deal by now. I support this call for a Development Roadmap and more communication between the Developers and the Consumers. We pay, so we do have a right to some measure of feedback. If only to decide if we’re still getting our money’s worth.
  14. It’s now been two months since my house flooded. Repairs have finally started so lights dawns on the horizon. My return to the wild world of 3DX isn’t to far of any longer. I have tried keeping my ear to the ground and keep up. I am the one that watches after all. Anxiously I await the moment I can watch ‘in person’ once again. And ‘reconnect’ with my friends once more. I have heard that some people are gone, yet others remain. It’s going to be fun catching up with the upsets and jubilations of the circles that I call my own. Not long now. Can’t wait. Just a thought. Be safe out there!
  15. Figured I’d give a sign of life. Greetings from the Coast. Stay safe out there!
  16. Was it ever explained why registration was disabled in the first place?
  17. Same reason you keep Safe Haven open. To have more options. And people need a place to share their lewd images and Gifs. Not to mention having discussions in a fashion that Discord can’t provide. Besides, you need a place to ‘advertise’ / brag about your own Discord don’t ya?
  18. Figured I’d show a sign of life in this diary for once. Can’t have people thinking I’m gone, now can we? Got a chance to poke my head into 3DX via laptop last weekend. My connection sucked so couldn’t stay long, but even in the short amount of time the number of ‘Happy to see you Dee!’ PM’s was slightly overwhelming. But lifted my spirits greatly. I’m still stuck at a place where privacy to log onto 3DX is nonexistent. But I am keeping in touch. I ain’t gone, no matter what. Y’all take care and stay safe out there ya hear?
  19. Don’t be sad about the fact something ends. Be happy that it happened. And being sad is natural, it’s all a balance. The sadness deepens the sweet memories of happiness. Heh, sorry. Bit lyrical today. See ya around.
  20. I get a very real ‘flame-bait’ vibe from that one’s ‘Old People’ comments. I’m waiting for the ‘Ok Boomer’ reply actually, but it seems they’re not at that level yet. Anyhow, it’s beating a dead horse at this point. The Devs for 3DX are slow, have always been slow in the 4 years I’ve been around. And I heard they’ve always been slow before that. I might be naive, but I rather stay positive and be glad about what we Have. Instead of being mad about what we Should or Could have. With Devs like these, the worst case scenario is that we try to log in tomorrow and the game ain’t there. That’s just as likely as finding the game remade in the latest Unreal engine. Just be cool and enjoy the game and the people.
  21. The Netherlands haven’t seen any of those damages. Our flood protection systems and warnings worked well. It sounds prideful but we’re the best in the world in regards to water management and living in an area that floods a lot. The difference is very clear to see now, tragically. Our neighbors report fatalities and missing persons. The Netherlands have none or maybe one or two. But anyhow, that’s not a discussion for here. Articles enough about it on the web. I hope you all are having fun and relaxing in 3DX, I’ll see you all in a while. Be safe y’all.
  22. I feel that the ones coming onto these forums to ‘promote’ the hacked version of this game are a sign that they do miss something. Because if that hacked stuff is so great, why beg people here to check it out there? Methinks the hacked version is a ghost town even worse than 3DX on its worst days. Before my forced hiatus now, I saw numbers of players increase instead of decline. I saw multiple rooms above 100 people at several times throughout the week and weekend. I think the statement that 3DX is ‘dying’ is overblown and just trying to create a hype. 3DX isn’t and will never be perfect, but it’s the best one out there so far. It can improve a lot, sure. But it’s a good escape from reality already. The passionate folks talking about it show that too. -my 2cents.
  23. Debated on making this post, as I don’t want to be seen as seeking attention or fishing for sympathy but I might be missing from 3DX for a couple of months. The reason being that my house was flooded the weekend before I am posting this. The creek that flows past my garden rose above its banks and the end result was 10 centimeters of water in my house. I am one of the fortunate ones as there are those that have lost loved ones, their whole livelihood and belongings.
  24. It might sound rather pretentious or like hyperbole but I believe you can see a microcosm of our world in 3DX, and by extension these forums. We’ve got every walk of life, every gender, every identity, heck we span generations. My friends on 3DX include people that I would have never met IRL, and also people I -have- now spoken with in real life. Everyone had their own reasons for joining the ‘game’ but most of the recurring people, good or bad, stayed because they found something here that gave them satisfaction. Be it having a virtual playground to hang out in with friends, a virtual stage to perform on, or feeling the satisfaction of amassing big numbers on a screen in ways of crowds, followers or whatever. Everyone does their thing, and the community is greater for it. These forums are just another aspect of the same community, a community that spans a multitude of Discord Servers, great and small. But we’re all united methinks. We all want the game to do well, to have it provide us with what we want. (Or you played in the past and moved on, which is valid too) This turned into a ramble, my bad. Y’all be safe out there, and have fun!
  25. I’m echoing this sentiment. And was one mentioned within. My house will be unlivable for a few months, as the floods paid me a visit. My loved ones, pets and most of my belongings are safe. Many around me were not so fortunate. Stay safe, and watch out for each other.
