While I am not active in the game right now, it has almost been ten years since I first logged in. Wow, I do not think many of my old friends are around anymore.

It all depends on what you mean by Asian looking. No one could really tell you because their view, although intended to be helpful could be the opposite.  I know specifically that they do not have monolids but again, Asia is a pretty big continent. Best thing would be coughing up ten bucks to try it.

For me it was lack of customization and overall boredom with the game. I did enjoy SL at one point. I preferred their graphics and animations. If you’re willing to spend your avi can look top notch. But that’s boring too and unless you have a gaming laptop, pretty laggy.

the funny thing is, people here complain about men playing as women. There it’s women playing as men. When I played I found it weird to have to ask that question because my game play started here.

3DX has been around too long to have such poor options for customization. Then when new items are added they do not look good. The Afro for example.

As I have mentioned before, I was among those who thought that the game would change for the worse when in-game moderation was removed. But in retrospect, it didn't change for the worse. It was different, for sure, but neither better nor worse. Just different. So I expect that the same will be true this time. As Camden says, there is plenty of drama now, and there will still be plenty of drama after the new system is implemented. 

 

I think part of the reason that it may not have worked is because they pulled from the user base which creates a separate set of problems. I wasn’t around during mod times so I can’t really speak to it. I just notice some differences between then and now which made me ponder. Like I’ve been called the N word a lot the last couple times I visited whereas it had not happened before.

I will say, as someone who tried second life, 3dx drama has not reached that level, thankfully. I won’t go into detail as I don’t want to give ideas but it’s partially why I left. There doesn’t seem to be much moderation there either but their support system is more effective.

I rarely log in. I just don’t have time or desire to. I was mainly here for friends and most are gone. The climate has changed a bit. I’ve seen racism and sexism. I don’t recall that in the earlier days which made me wonder. As the game grows with new people is a system required to moderate in game? Maybe. I don’t think that 3dx has the capacity to do it the right way so, maybe it’s best left as is. Point is, even as it is right now, there’s plenty of drama. A whole lot of drama.

I haven’t tried the test server. I was tempted as I wanted to cockslap my boo with my purple strap but... I’ll pass.

i would disagree about the number of people who have multiple accounts, I think its much higher than you think. hell, i happen to know one guy who has 10 and rotates them monthly. i also think 3dx wont make more money because the ones who do have multiple accounts will no longer need to and just stick with one thus not having to pay monthly on it . for 24 dollars you can buy 20k in xgold, thats two alts for pretty much the same price as an account and you can keep them for as long as you want. I would be interested to know if after this has went into place, a year from now what the difference dollar wise it is. I suspect its not going to change, i could be wrong but it would be interesting to know

That’s a lot of damn time on ones hands. Sheesh. It’d be interesting to know. I think it’s more convenient to pay for 24K to buy two slots then another 24K, as you don’t have to make up different email addresses. However, if you buy ten accounts three slots will never be enough.

Subscriptions can be annual. For example, I subscribe to Amazon Prime annually, as it’s cheaper. It renews annually on my anniversary date. If you choose the 12 month sub, it renews annually if not purchased with the sale. It’s around 20 monthly in USD if you choose a monthly sub, OP. You don’t have to buy the prepaid card, but you can for any of the options; one month, one year, or six months.

Rob, Giz himself said it will make him money. My guess is that the convenience of just paying for an alt versus creating a new account may increase the number of alts, thus more money. Whereas right now there’s only a few morons paying for two accounts or more:

*sips kawfee* I remember being a young, naive avi. Having a conversation with a friend at Sin. So much potential, I thought of the game. We’d discuss different ideas. Some things have changed, not much, though. World Editor being the biggest change. Sometime after that conversation, we were both a little older, and a little wiser. We thought, yup, they see this as a sex game, nothing much more than that. The social aspect gave an edge that others didn’t have, that and the graphics. Gold is going to be spent. The number of profiles are limitless as long as you got the dough.

Personally, I rarely log in and if I do, I’m in my apt or at a friend's place. I’m not to bothered by it. It didn’t seem to change much of the drama that the charge was supposed to help reduce.

According to https://www.checkmarket.com/sample-size-calculator/, given a population of 15,000 (the 3DX Forum page says 16,589 atm), 2070 responses are necessary to ensure a margin of error of 2% and a confidence level of 95%.  So, yes, given the low number of responses, any conclusions drawn from the results of polls in this Forum are problematic at best.

Thank you. I used a site that gave me around 98 percent as a confidence level. With a couple hundred or some such as the sample. I couldn’t remember the members in forum. So I’m glad someone posted actual numbers. I spent too much time in stats using SPSS, so I get annoyed when it’s misrepresented. Nor do I wish to revisit hell.

Oh and btw - this is a simple poll about a sex/social game. It was never intended to be a rigorous ademic survey. Why not just see it for what it is, take it’s results and give it a little thought, maybe using data from elsewhere to. Help make a little sense of it.

You reference it like it’s an actual study then insinuated that it makes someone look foolish for not agreeing with it. Then create a poll to gather an “unrepresentative” sample.

Forum polls, have always been flawed and unreliable. Not just related to a sex game. I’ve seen people create multiple accounts, never to be used again just to vote, for example. The best solution is as someone here mentioned. Implement a workflow for accepting or declining hugs and kisses on the cheek. The additional layer of permission based on groups would be ideal.

As i said in another thread, the excuse that you wouldnt do it in real life so you shouldnt do it here is a giant fail.  You wouldnt have sex in public in real life, You wouldnt dance naked in a club in real life. Both would get you arrested. So this whole "you wouldn't do it in real" excuse is horseshit, sorry

RL sex in public can be fun. Just depends on where you do it at. If you go to the right club you can get a stripper to dance nude for u. But I tend to agree that a lot of things done in 3DX are not done in real life. In 3DX I’m a Barbie that never ages.

Hugging doesn’t bother me so much. It’s weird, yeah. If I’m in a good mood, I’ll laugh it off. If I’m annoyed I’ll warn them. What was bad was back when I first joined, before user rooms... there were what was referred to as sharkers. Those who would jerk off over you and spray their load. Then repetitive colds. I blocked someone for chasing me trying to get his jollies but he came back as someone else so I moved locations. That’s when I start whipping out the sword. That doesn’t seem to happen anymore, at least not as much.

The sample here is better than any sample you've put together Mar_Mohan. That's why I find your negativity so irritating. It also completely undermines any credibility you want to present. Find soem data, present it, analyse it and say what you think then. Until then you're just making yourself look foolish.

3DX polls do not have a large enough sample size to represent the population from which it was sampled. If you are referring to the poll linked in this thread done here. The forum has thousands of registered users. Data is not available as to exactly how many are active. Still, 53 poll participants doesn’t make a representative sample. IF that’s what you are referring to.

I think that when the old baiting game happens, all involved will likely be penalized. So it’s basically shooting yourself in the foot. Because it’s not quite looking the way ya think.
