Hello and thank you for your respond. Now i have online and also shoutcast shows connecte...status running. Also thru links i can hear music, but only when i press PLAY on pages which are opens when click on links. In 3DX, when i copy any of those links, there is no music. Any ideas?

About ports...all my ports are availabe....i run from my computer:

 

- webpage (http, https)

- ftp server

- video server

- music server

- cloud

i already opened port on my router so from here supposed to be all ok...now only problem is to get sound in 3DX...

 

PS: sorry for this...now i checked music which i ger on web via radio station links...and music plays to fast...let say3-4 times faster then normal...and huge distortion i have. For info...im straming song: molella-Discotek people, mp3,128  and here is link: https://cdsitalodisco.radiostream321.com/

You are not putting the port number in the url.

The port is after the : for example: http://www.musicserver.com:portnumber goes here/station

So your url will read if using port 8000 on your streaming server: https;//cdsitalodisco.radiostream321.com:8000/

Give that a try and let me know if that's what it was.

If i put port number at the end, nothing happens...and on the web got: cannot open page

I just checked the Url and it is the URL to your online player.

That address will not work in the game radio.

You need to find the exact address of the streaming server itself.

So you need the URL for the shoutcast server, and use that for the radio.

A way to tell if you are connecting to the server is put the address in a web browser and the shoutcast server interface should come up. Make sure you format it with the port number as I explained previously.

If you can connect to it this way, it will work in 3DXChat radio.

The radio functions on HTTP streaming protocol so it works in a web page as well.

The info you are looking for is the first red box.

Where it says port at the bottom that you have redacted is the port number. It should look like so:

http://freeuk30.listen2myradio.com:PORTNUMBER HERE

If it doesn't work try replacing the url with your ip that you have redacted as: http://xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx:PORTNUMBER no one can see your stream address when they connect to your server, but either way is not a security risk as both go to the same place and are public anyway.

If it is a secure connection change to HTTPS

i got all working now...BUT there is huge delay. is there some buffer settings? i removing song...even closing winamp completly, but music still playing 30-60sec. To start play it takes 60-90sec

Try out Mixxx it is a lot better in my opinion. It is free and has way more features also.

If you want to try out a paid version, I highly recommend RadioBoss.

Winamp is old and all they did with the new one is, revamp the horrible code.

If you decide to try it and need help setting it up let me know and I can probably walk you through it.

But lag will always be present. I have a pretty fast setup and the lag is right around 8-10 seconds.

And yes you can adjust the buffer also. Often known as "Playback Buffer" if you set it too low your playback will stutter so be careful.

...thanks for all informations. I will try to setup Foobar as is light years better from winamp. I have optic conection 1GB symetric, so this is not the issue. And abot normal delay in game...In Second Life i used SAM and it was 3-6sec. I will come back in next days with more info...and for now again thank you

I need some help with Foobar..i downloaded vorbis streeamer (https://www.foobar2000.org/components/view/foo_vorbisstream)...added foo_vorbisstream.dll to foobar component folder moved vorbis to active dsp....and set basic setings...but thats it...how and where to start stream?

Also changed in listen2myradio server type fromshowcast to icecast...

there is another encoder I found that will stream spotify playlists but I did not like the audio myself as I am an audio snob but for the average person I am sure they will find it useful.

it is called foobar2000 and you have to dl the spotify component to get it to work, and the encoder you want to use is in there called Vorbis streamer add that and you can set up your server in there.

foobar2000 is also open source freeware as well. Hope this is helpful

Having a problem - can stream using Mixxx and shoutcast on the standard version but when I try and stream to the beta update I cannot get this to work. Any clues?

Have also tried winamp without success

Yes. I am using Mixxx and listen2myradio with shoutcast2 but although it plays in 2.9 nothing happens in 3.0.

My radio works the same as it does in both games and I use a domain name, FYI if you have ssl stream it will most likely not work as I believe 3dx radio server is non ssl and an ssl stream will not play on a non ssl server site. They call it mixed mode. I have my icecast server setup as a non ssl server so I don't run into this problem, and ssl is not really needed for an icecast/soundcast server anyway. If you would like to try my server to see if that is it message me and I will loan my stream to you. It is playing rock and metal just to warn you lol. If it works for you ssl is the culprit.

I personally haven't had a chance to check it recently, but I noticed that the website is still operational and appears to maintain its familiar layout. Unless there have been significant internal changes, I don't see any reasons why it wouldn't function as expected.
