Well, I modified it as my intention was to say that people can use them as sex room party room or whatever, without complain, the commercial side never crossed my mind. I took it out, therefore it is the normal copyright that apply and fair use as well in case of complain.

And actually the issue isnot about people getting donation, the issue I raised is people selling rooms that arent their. If a host get donation cos he is a good host and use my room, I am fine with it.

Actually the one to be covered is the buyer who needs to have a clear proof that you let him all your rights.

Wrong again, CC is the default protection about creation, to be CC0 you have to specficy it and not reverse.

Patreon is good when you have something regular to offer to your subscribers since it is a monthly or even yearly fee. For a donation, Patreon is not the best solution: https://support.patreon.com/hc/en-us/articles/204606215-Can-I-make-a-one-time-payment- I guess the advantage of it is that you are more anonymous than with paypal (except if you created a "fake" paypal account). At the end, since it is not an obligation to donate, I am not sure the impact on 3dx will be that huge yet. At least as long as some people will give for free, dj for free, host for free, I still see some hope. I dont see anything wrong with people selling something if there is someone to buy it, as long as free options exist. If with time, you kinda are forced to buy to still enjoy 3dx, I mean pay more than the actual subscription, then there is a real issue... Time will tell us...Also somehow this new economy is totally out of any control from devs, how can they check abuses? It is one thing to wait that a report for bad behaviour is taken into consideration, now what if someone report a scam? Example Player X asked me 20 euros for a room, I did the donation but I never got the room...they most likely will say that it is not their problem as patreon is not 3dx...

Ok let's me try to explain what my fear is, maybe I am totally wrong on it but this is what worries me: Until now, there was space for free content and paying content. Some sell rooms, some give them for free. And it worked pretty fine so far. This new system might be scary for the ones sharing for free till now, as Anaganda said, it is also a pleasure and a satisfaction to build and give, and simply see people happy to use your material. With this new system, I feel like this will to share free material , for the simple pleasure of giving, is killed if some people manage to make money with it and therefore people will lose the pleasure of sharing for free. I am not sure they will move to selling but migh simply stop sharing, or share only with some friends they trust. What would be the result? Less material available for the community. This might sound now a bit bragging but, all the people sharing on forum, on modz on juicyjina website for a while, or other builders having website...all this kept the community up, all this kept 3dx attractive thanks to a huge variety of places....Giving the opportunity to people who dont build to still create or use world for free and open them is important for 3dx. At least this is my point of view and what I liked so far in 3dx...you could put together a host, a builder, dj's. organizer and create events without too much drama...now suddenly the host becomes favorised...what was a fair system became unfair.

The whole donation idea is not bad itself. The implementation is, and the explanation even more. You totally dont support dj or builder or even paty organizer the way it is implemented today. Also, let's say you create a patreon, where people can download your room, well, let s group with some friends, one will pay for it, and then share the world file with others. One payment but 10 people getting the file. I think you dont get my point Alivia, I am not searching to make money or get tons of donation, I am simply saying that the system aint fair anymore like this. Why only host can get donation? Why not the dj? If you allow donation in the game, you shoudl allow them for everyone or noone.

I cant speak about Modz but I can speak about how I did my website and what was the philosophy behind it. At first I wanted to do a better place than forum to share material, in a better manner with better display. I wanted it simple, you search for something, you find you download and you leave. No registration needed no money, nothing. We are not all equal in front of the world editor, we are not equal in term of money, so I wanted somehow to have same spirit as 3dx HAD: everyone paid a subscription and everyone get the same thing, no one having better stuff cos of more money than someone else. As Anaganda, I got requests for building and I refused them for various reason. One of them is that I have no fucking idea what for a price a room should have...Some I spent 60 hours plus on them... Regarding a patreon for my website, it is totally not possible, cos people would pay to access the content but most of this content is not mine. I cant ask money so people can download a room from Anaganda or anyone else. I tried indeed donations to support website costs, and it didnt work, so I moved to monetize it with google. The website is still free and people still dont need to register. Regarding the actual topic, I keep thinking I want to do all this for free, and the thank you or pm I get are more than enough as a reward for my work. My issue is that some people could make money from the work that people gave for free. That is my single and only issue.

I am also worried about free sharing indeed, but tbh I am not that sure so many people will click a donate button. I made the experience on the website and it was a failure I think free stuff has still a future if and only if the one sharing for free dont feel abused. If people want absolutely a donate button, then everyone in game should have such an option, not only builders or djs or hosts...then like said Alivia everyone is free to donate. Last but not least, this can work if there is a real moderation about advetising. If someone actively ask for donation and is not banned, then the whole system is in danger.

Except you cant tip the DJ cos the button is only for the host. With all the rest you said I agree.

I am ok with this Redji, I just think that the donate option shoudnt be linked to a room open public but to the person, builder hotst dj or whatever.

From what I understood when you joined a room, the room data were transfered on your local pc and it could be taken this way.
