I don't know him personally, but the impression he gives on here is of someone who has a very sad life. Best to put him on ignore like most people have done.

It makes sense if you are a religious zealot or if you have some other cause you believe in strongly enough to want to disrupt the game. It might not seem reasonable to you or I...but to them it can be the be all and end all of their raison d'etre.

Of course, that wasn't my point. My point was that the cost and effort to stop DDOS attacks never ends if someone is determined and skilled enough to launch an attack and for smaller organisations with relatively limited resources it can be especially difficult.

My organisation plans to spend an additional £20m (approx $25m) over the next 3 years, on top of the many millions they already spend on security measures to defend against ddos attacks and similar. If your organisation is a target for attacks for any reason (industrial espionage, national security, spying, political stance, moral stance, religious zeal, etc) then there is no end to how much it can cost to put in effective defence measures. And cyber threats are always trying to be one step ahead of the defence mechanisms. Let's hope that those attacking 3dx (probably on a dubious moral or religious ticket, but possibly a rival game or disenfranchised user) are not too sophisticated or determined to keep upping their game.

I think this would be useful, but wonder if the reason we can't do it is to make it less easy to copy other people's profiles? 1) User profiles are best if they are unique and written specifically by a user. 2) There are people that like to pretend to be another user by copying their profiles and creating a user name that is hard to detect as different from the original. Obviously they can still do it the long way without a 'Ctrl + C'.

And change passwords asap. Also make sure firewall/antivirus is on, and for added security consider accessing via a secure tunnel using a VPN tool.

Hi, the 3dxchat server status tool has a new facility that allows testing of the pathways and response times to the game servers etc from your own location. I would suggest you run this test a number of times over a period and record your results. If you post the results here then possibly someone with the right knowledge ( e.g. @ColinDude) might be able to see where the issue is occurring, even if they won't necessarily be able to fix it. The point is that it might not be 3dxchat that is the problem but something else in between. I reacted to the fact you specifically quoted something I said and (without me making allowance for English not being your first language) I felt that you had misrepresented me so I challenged what you said. Value !=f(preferences/tastes) Values are all to do with what I think is important in the world...love, friendship, honour, integrity, tolerance, etc. Preference/tastes are all do do with what I find attractive when I look at it. Example 1..Value... "Friendship is something I highly value, and I will go to any length I can to be the best friend to those I care about." Example 2..Taste... "Cor, she's got a crackin' butt!!"

I don't think much of that applies to me and my values which have nothing do with my tastes. What you said is more about what drives some other people to change their look/bodies. I can promise you nothing on my body is enhanced, or optimal. It is all in its pitiful natural state.

I'm in the natural and/or small camp in terms of preference. In fact, I deliberately choose not to strike up conversation with those that slid all the way to the right on the boob slider - I'd find them really off putting. I have always been a fan of the more modest breast. Fortunately nature has now provided me with a useful yardstick as I have grown older...if they are bigger then mine then they are probably too big . I too suspect those to have huge breasts in game to be mostly fake people (but I don't assume all). I relate much more to people just being true to themselves (whatever gender they are most comfortable in) but my senses generally tell me that humongous boobs are a sign of someone not being their true selves but some one pretending to be something completely different.

Leahtastic, it might be almost a month late but that was great to read just now and a really fitting reminder of all that is good and great in the game. I remember such exciting feelings from my early months as a member, and that sense of reality the game is able to convey. It truly is immersive and the cause of many a late night/early morning (and the occasional all nighter too!). As someone that has been a member for about 5 years now and who has become a little jaded with it, it was inspiring to be reminded of the excitement the game can generate, and so thank you. I shall look at the game with renewed perspective.

That video brings back great memories of the good old days and brilliant nights with friends in the 3dx night club. In many ways, despite the new features and functions that have been added since, it feels that was the 3dx heyday. And yes, please bring back the pumpkins with spooky effects!!!
