  1. With that, I've taken your advice and written an e-mail. Here's hoping!
  2. @Gizmo Do something, please? This is getting way out of hand.
  3. In the end... it all boils down to one thing: Report the rooms and hope for whoever is in charge to act accordingly. What's the point of this back and forth causing nothing but frictions among the players (unfortunately, not in a good way)? People with a strong disliking towards a certain topic (not persé this topic) will get shut down because they are "narrow-minded" while people who try to put themselves in the shoes of someone else and attempt to be "open-minded" will get slapped with a "Pro-topic" label. As many of you already stated, this is nonsense... Until some higher-up steps in and shuts down these rooms... there's not much for us to do other than try and ignore them. And for the love of God let's all try and get along, yes?
  4. Yes, it seems communication is one of the least developed skills in 3DXChat, causing so many misunderstandings and bad decisionmaking. All we can do is set examples?
  5. @NaomiMoonstone Be sure to let us know in the future if anything changed for you. I'm curious after all
  6. It's such a difficult topic depending on your view. In more ways than one 3DXChat is filled with taboos and scenarios with risky topics. A lot of people have weird kinks, some of those are rather extreme. Personally, I'm against rape... and I understand how the word can be a bad trigger for a lot of people. However, in the 3DXChat setting, there's no way to actually perform this action. Two parties always need to consent before anything can happen... so in any situation, it would be roleplay. If some people have this desire, I much rather have them perform it in a means of roleplay with someone who's fantasizing about being a victim, rather than having them out on the streets making matters much more real. However, I do feel the game needs a means to filter the list... words you don't want to see or vice versa. Something that allows people with past experiences to prevent triggers that would ruin their game.
  7. There is a seperate thread for connection issues. This is a thread about a completely new issue. I think you're the one that's a bit lost right now.
  8. @Layvon You complain about efficiency and how they aren't getting their stuff sorted out, yet you're filling the topic with pointless arguments that have no benefit for players or developers alike. Why not keep the pointless ranting to a minimum so others can hopefully find answers without having to filter through all that? Don't get me wrong, you've got a right to complain... but at this point you're just lashing out at people because of your frustrations.
  9. Yes, I agree... there's an abundance of insecurity and a lack of confidence, but I guess that makes sense... I'm sure those men are occupied elsewhere
  10. Hey @NaomiMoonstone and welcome nonetheless! Let me start off by saying I've not experienced harassment quite as aggressive as you described, or at least not in such high volumes. Although there's a reference against this kind of behaviour inside the ToS, unless it gets reported (and even then...) there's not much that can be done to stop it. Which leaves it up to you to handle it, which is obviously the reason for your post. I've did, however, have encounters that I disliked just as much and I like to think my approach to them is efficient because it has drastically lowered over time. So here's a few of my tips to hopefully help minimize it for you: Read the name of the rooms before you join. In most situations you'll get a rough idea what you might get into if you enter the room (obviously, entering a room that explicitly warns you, is at your own risk). Make sure your profile is informative. If you have any specific dislikes, make sure they are clear inside your profile, people might not always read them, but it's there for you to fall back on in case you need to. Obviously, stay respectful. When someone PM's you in a way you dislike entirely, do not respond... at all. Especially if they go against what you wrote on your profile. Not granting any form of response will usually force them to move on. In cases where people weren't initially offensive, warn first. I've had moments where I initially didn't expect someone to turn out the way they did... in these cases I warn them briefly, if they continue... I resort to not responding... at all. If all else fails... use the "ignore" button. Some will not take no for an answer... that's what the ignore button is for. Use it to make that character disappear from your 3DX experience entirely. Last but not least... don't dwell on it. A lot of people overthink things too much. Just don't... Enjoy your time with people you like and ignore whatever tries to ruin the experience. I hope it helps.
  11. Although I haven't seen an increase in Xgold either. My subscription was supposed to end in November... And I have 150 days remaining. Unless I forgot how to math... that feels like there has been compensation on game time though.
  12. @Gizmo I don't think this message will help the cause here (your credibility). If you scroll back a bit... you can read that users are having trouble believing this is all still DDOS related. Mainly because of a lack of transparency here. From a business perspective, let me give you a suggestion: Provide your userbase more detail on a more regular basis rather than copy/pasting the same line for every moment of downtime the server has, people will probably appreciate it, thus trusting your platform more and be willing to invest in subscription time. Just a thought off the top of my head though .
  13. Isn't that more of a gullibility issue? Other than that, it comes back to what I've said before... the lack of information given about what is going on is definitely an issue, but they are not getting much incentive to change their ways if people keep paying, keep playing and their threats aren't backed up. @Gizmo & @Lisa: Surely you guys are just as tired of this constant ranting. Don't you guys think it's time to do something about it?
  14. Don't get me wrong, I somewhat agree with what you're saying. It's a very poor business plan to say the least. But on the other side... even I'm not taking all the endless complaining and threatening serious anymore. So many people threaten to leave and never come back... and yet we're still here aren't we? I don't think they're worried too much, considering we're all still here paying our monthly/yearly subscriptions and still logging in despite our frustrations. Maybe, if there was a decent drop in actual subscriptions, they would consider changing things up? Nonetheless, a lot of threats here are meaningless and therefor ignored.
  15. Thanks! I'll make sure it gets done.
  16. Hello Forum, Since the game is currently dealing with some issues, I decided to hop on this forum for the first time and write a small hello and introduction. What else am I going to do, right? I've been playing since November, and I have to say that it took me by surprise. The game is advertised so differently from what it really is, and in a way, it's giving it too little credit. I came here with one idea, probably the same one as most people who first logged in... In my case, that's been the only thing I've not done yet, but that's beside the point. I've been meeting new people on a daily basis and have been having a great time getting to know some of you. And like I said, I never expected the game to be so social and full of creative spirits building these crazy rooms that you guys make. In the end, that's what got me to stay way longer than I had initially planned. And it's the reason I'm still coming back. Keep it up, guys :) I'm Xenia, 24 (turning 25 in a few days as of writing), and I'm an addict. Just kidding, I'm not the most actively online person... I can come online day after day for a week and then disappear for a while. Life tends to grab hold of you sometimes, so for those who are wondering... No worries, I'm just busy being productive (as much as I can in these times). I'm hoping to reach out, via this forum, to some of the friends I made. So if you're reading this, say hi :) I'm not great at this whole diary thing, but I might come back and write down some interesting experiences I've had, but for now I'm going to just leave this post here and answer any questions or comments you guys post. Looking forward to meeting you guys! Stay healthy ;) - Xenia
