You could check your ram. Here are some links: How to check for memory problems on Windows 11 | Windows Central How to Test RAM: Make Sure Bad Memory Isn't Crashing Your PC | Tom's Hardware (tomshardware.com) -
Wow, that looks totally awesome! Looking forward to seeing the room live. Hope she opens it soon again!

can we send you fonts for the editor? I made a filled Times New Roman font. -
Do you use a high resolution (4K)? That's when the names in the partner list doesn't show. I have the same pheomenon. For the ignore and unfriend button: maybe the popup window with ok and cancel isn't shown because of the display resolution, too. On my 4K monitor it's in the upper right corner.

Yes, there is a bug with the colours. If you enter the RGB values manually, they are not saved You have to use the mouse to click on the colour, then the editor "remembers" it Not just for the colours of the light, but for every object.

Giving the right room name to your room
Diana Prince replied to housestationlive's topic in World Editor
reminds me of that famous U2 song "Where the rooms have no name" But seriously, it seems rooms like "BBC fuck sluts no chat" generate the most traffic -

you could try to set the graphic settings in 3DXC as low as possible and see if that makes a difference -

Yes, download this program, and after a crash start it and load the crash dump. You'll get an report then what caused it. But if you don't even get a bluescreen, I would suspect heat problems so that the CPU shuts down to protect itself. -

sounds a bit like heat problems. Do you get a blue screen? Did you check the Windows event viewer? Are there logs about 3DXC crashing? Here you can find a helpful program that can analyse the Windows crash logs after a bluescreen: Resplendence Software - WhoCrashed, automatic crash dump analyzer It tells you which dll or driver caused the bluescreen. In my case it was the intelppm.sys that caused bluescreens. Had to make some adjustments in the registry to get rid of it. -

transform window also when object groups are moved or scaled
Diana Prince replied to Paulinus's topic in Ideas & Suggestions
@PaulinusThe enlargement of a whole group by a "factor" won't work. We only can use "snap steps", that means a fixed length. For example: your group consists of 2 blocks, 1x1x1 and 2x2x2 in size. With a factor of 2.7839, after transformation they would need to be 2.7839 x 2.7839 x 2.7839 and 5.5678 x 5.5678. Unfortunately, this is not the way the editor works. It doesn't multipy, but adds the snap step value. So after transformation, the size of the two blocks is 3.7839 x 3.7839 x 3.7839 and 7.5678 x 7.5678 x 7.5678 -

ahhh, that's the "problem"! You can also click on the magnet icon to activate the snap function. One magnet for rotation, one for transformation. I'll try the "factor" later. Now I know how you meant it. -

Unfortunately I can't put up more pics in here. Somehow I can only upload 1,4 MB to this thread. Do you have Discord, @Paulinus? I can show you there that 2) is possible. I turned a block to 27.37569 degree, and then turned it 90 degree, and it worked. About 3): there is no "factor" (means "multiplied by") in the editor. You can just enter the absolute value. Or do you mean "stretch it with the snap step of 2.7839 meters". This is possible with a group. Of course overy object of the group has to face the same direction, otherwise the objects would be enlarged in different directions. I can show you pictures of this in Discord or maybe here in a pm. -

Rotating a group via snap angle is definitely possible, I use it all the time. Here I rotated the group 90°: -

You can rotate a grouped object (like a fence). But transformation (stretching etc.) won't work with a grouped obejct, because some of the single objects of the group might have to be stretched in a direction that they are not supposed to be stretched. -
can you tell us how you did it? Might be helpful for others, too.

I would be happy if my avi could at least SMILE!

but as a visitor to these two rooms, you don't know the file size. And as a builder, I can use a color picker tool to determine the color in the original room. Both rooms will LOOK the same. Or another example: If I build the Apple logo (a very basic structure), and someone else build it, too, chances are high that we use the same objects, size and color (white and black). So, did he copy my room (object)? It reminds me a little bit of the old paradoxon: every cell in your body gets replaced about every 7 years. So after a certain time, you are completely "renewed". So, are you still the same person?

How many changes have to be done to a room to not be the original any more? Deleting a single object? Recoloring one? Moving or turning one object? Or what if I recreated a room from scratch 1:1? Would this be MY room then? As long as there is no protection for these files, it will always be a grey area.

Just tried it and works perfectly How about an "Calculating..." message while it's being processed. The "Finished" message is a great help, but with "calculating" in between it would be perfect. So you can see that it's still doing something and has not crashed

Ohhh, thank you so much, Niblette!

Tools or adding option for picture decoration on building
Diana Prince replied to Zaven's topic in Ideas & Suggestions
it would be no different than trying to stream a movie on Twitch. That wouldn't end well Though it would be the coolest thing to build a drive in cinema in 3DXC and watch a movie with friends.
