Basically everything has already been said but I'm gonna go out on on a limb and assume you do not think or read before you post ? Clearly not after either. But all good, it's your right to do so.
 
If I understand you correctly :
 
1/ You agree that child pornography is illegal.
2/ You stand by anyone "within the boundaries of just and reasoned laws"
 
Yet remotely suggesting to think before posting child pornography or any other disgusting behavior (be it racial attacks, sexual orientation attacks, religious attacks..) is unreasonable ? Does that really sound reasonable to you ?
 
You have been a member here for a week, and attack members on a post made two years ago, at a time where moderation was lacking, and where countless amount of people got upset over said "child pornography" posted on this forum. And yes it has been removed after a massive wave of reports, yet stayed up for over a day, which is already unacceptable.
 
You also have the nerve to claim we only got our panties in a knot over something that probably wasn't illegal at all ? Are you freaking delusional or are you stating that child pornography can be acceptable at a certain level 'within boundaries of just and reasoned laws" ?

You haven't been able to post any comment on this thread, without throwing a dig at someone with insults. Yet condemning those same people for returning the favor ?
Someone mentionned it previously and it's very true, using insults does nothing but nullify any positive or useful ressource you may have, and is an easy solution when you deem yourself to be unable to have a convincing argument.
 
Respect is a matter of give and take. You failed at giving it considerably. Which is also why my post might come accross as aggressive and I won't apologize for it, because you haven't shown respect to anyone in here, therefore don't deserve it.
 
Might wanna consider changing your name to Salty Bunny, cause there's nothing sugary about the way you communicate with others.

There was no censorship in the initial topic, merely food for thought, as many stated before, to avoid a situation that you have not been part of, yet have decided to judge hundreds of people on, with the added insults.

Hmm seems like you have no idea what you are talking about. Child pornography us never okay in any shape or form. It is an abomination. People have fantasies but that is going too far. I will report it every time I see it.

Something tells me Sugar Bunny lost the plot utterly, entirely and in no way had a clue as to Shanti's original post and immediately jumped onto the wrong bandwagon going in the completely wrong direction and went off on a massive tirade that has been seen through, called out and has put said Bunny on the defensive instead of just sticking a hand up and saying "Oh fuck, my bad, I was wrong".
 
However lost you are Bunny in terms of understanding the original reason for the post, the post was intended to point people in the simple direction of thinking before posting due to: Post of Incest / Child Pornography (never ever fucking acceptable ever!!), Personal Attacks, Racial Abuse, and many other things that are NOT and never should be acceptable in any way, shape or form. Nobody asked for or condoned censorship at any stage of the conversation other than disgustingly vile things that deserve to never be shown.
 
Nobody is saying that there should not be discussion on points of argument or opinion, what they are trying to say is argue validly and in a proper fashion instead of flailing about in the dark trying to make a point that has no merit when you missed the reasoning for the post by such a long distance that NASA is observing that point as if it's a new object for Kepler to explore and planning to send a satellite to.
 
Vile, horrid, disgusting things have no place on a forum and should be launched into the sun. I am against censorship completely but I am not against censoring that which has no place in human society (rape, slavery, abuse, racism, molestation, child pornography, etc.) and I still stand with Shanti 200% on her comments.
 
Everybody has picked up that you missed the point, tried to brandish your values in the wrong manner, and are now trying to find a defensible position for it (and failing hopelessly may I add). Rather just give up, admit you fluffed the reasoning for the post and move on. Shanti has been here longer than most and has seen everything that goes on here and doesn't say things lightly or without reason. You will not find much support that carries any weight I'm afraid...

A bit deplorable to judge fantasy, yes, and while I have no issue allowing people to indulge in their own personal fantasies, forcing it upon others is also pretty buggered, in of itself. It was illegal, and it was proposed in such a way as to force it upon people that wanted nothing to do with it. I'm not going to lecture you on how "I want you" to respond.  I appreciate your honesty and by all means, disagree, it gives me insight from another person's aspect. That's cute.  I know well enough to know that emotion has no place in logical or rational discussion.  It doesn't have to be an argument, it can have a positive vibe.  If you feel the discussion is getting out of hand, step back, take a breath, collect your rationale you seem to be so sophisticated with, and continue.  For any questions, see #3 -- Because if you're asking people to be rational, you shouldn't attack others in the same statement. Anyway, you seem like the independent, 'freedom of speech' kind of person, and I appreciate that you realize everyone has rights: but everyone has these rights.  It only becomes a problem when one allows their own freedoms to make an attempt to overrule another's.

Seeing as how I remember why this was posted let me clue you in. It had nothing to do with censorship or thin skin. However, there was once a poster who was posting things in relation to incest involving a child. You had no way of knowing until you clicked on it.This caused multiple reports and there were several posts. Child pornography is illegal. This was off of some other rather offensive posts. So, that being said, should the sick and demented be allowed to post their pedophilia on the forum? Seeing as how the post was so old, maybe ask questions first. Your approach is offensive. Why come at her in an offensive and condescending manner?

You don't have the right to not be offended, and the very fact that you seem to think you deserve that right is - to me - incredibly offensive in and of itself.
 
Are you saying that she doesn't have the right to be offended? Also, she was a moderator of this forum which had moderators for a reason. So she did have a right to moderate which meant removing offensive posts. You can say what you want, fine. However, this is a forum with its own rules that must be followed. I don't know if you are an alt with a new forum account nor do I care. However, if you have been around, I think you should know what she meant. As Achilles mentioned it was food for thought, her opinion which  she has a right to.

Think twice before posting someone's death on this forum.
 
Too many people fake death and/or serious illness as an excuse to either leave the game or restart with a new avatar. 
They are bored with who they are or with who they are hanging with, so need a big exit story to go out in the spot lights and be pitied !
 
If you want to leave, just bloody leave or say you need a break, own up to your decision and go for it. If you find delight about doing an act like this, you need serious help.
 
It's unfair to all the people who care about you in this community or those who might actually be in such real situations !

I remember well those discussions as well, and most people were for forum moderation and against in-game moderation (where from my point of view a working ignore system + working report system is more than enough).
And you can see that in this exact same topic (started last september), that people are stating that forum needs moderation, to what you posted almost the same comment today as you posted in last september.
 
[Edit : If you keep refering to the discussions that happened, fresh on mods' removal, yes most of the people were against any moderation, because of how somethings were handled, a lot has happened since, and we cannot keep going back to the same place]
