I think, the game very well serves what the devs have in mind for it, which very likely is to produce a somewhat stable source of income for them. Our wishes will not necessarily match theirs and we as customers only have one choice: take what we get or move on. Market economy at work. If FrenchTouch indeed successfully launches her game, I believe many will switch (but then she will still have to avoid repeating the errors made for 3dx).

You forgot the drama, you get that at no extra cost as well

What I'm interested as well is how the situation is when you play music in a private/friends only place. This would be very much like having an ordinary party in real life and as long as it is a private party, no fees should occur.

For the rest, the rooms, I agree, I could think of a permanent "RP lobby" where role players meet and greet and make up their scenarios. Trivial to create, but not so trivial to sustain (ie keep open 24/7). But no matter what the community crafts, the game still lacks essential features, like "/say" mentioned above and well, the devs very probably won't give a sh*t about this. Maybe FT with her new "Project Life" will do better in that regards.

Welcome Clancy!! The installation process puts a desktop application called ౩DXChat on your computer. Start this application and then you are ready to go. The browser login you'll hardly need at all, only for reinstallments if something went south with your desktop app.

So cool FT, this is getting better and better with each update!!! Count me in when you need testers or whatever! kickstarter wont work however, but you probably know this already ... they wont accept any porn related projects and the same goes with most other similar platforms ...

as usual, this is a game feature. This allows us to celebrate xmas 24/7/365 ... a contribution to the xmas role playing community (that does not exist yet, but again you should accept the devs' good will). So be grateful to be able to play in such an unique setting!

As a huge fan of board game rp, I have to jump in on this as well ... First, if I agree with everyone in this thread that "real" roleplay is rare in 3dx. That is for some part due to lacking locations but otoh certainly because it is difficult to attract good players, willing to rp for a longer period of time (as maybe required by a scenario). Just yesterday I had an in game convo with a girl that was a bit disappointed about the complete lack of rp and she seemed having a hard time finding like minded people. So why not gather together in forum and craft some ideas? And I see no reason why locations could not be created, there are many helpful people around that will lend a hand when you run into problems with building.
