I have no issue with this feature. It's cute and makes things official for people that are into this. I'm not. The credit limit may be on the high end but I understand you want to make this into a significant decision. But what are we going to spend those meaningless credits on otherwise?

These topics always turn into a shitstorm, so I try to stay away from them. Funny how these topics are always started by specific forum members... I both play as myself and as two RP characters. Those two characters are so over the top you'd have to be a total idiot not to see they're not real. That may be an exception, though. Generally I don't see any harm in RP players mentioning their character is an RP character. That should keep the online tailchasers at bay and allo them to RP without causing frustration. But even when I'm on as myself I try to avoid RL questions. I had to do that after one person called me a "fucking fag" and a "lying guy" after he found out I was trans. A big feat if you know I have TS in my avatar name but anyway. Simply put my real life is nobody's fucking business but myself. I don't send pictures, I don't Skype, I don't mail, I don't phone. I'm not here to be your 3d dating agency catch. In the end, though, Dande put it best: you can't escape yourself. Even if you RP your views and experiences come into play. So maybe klaudio can sleep soundly: EVERYONE plays as themselves.

This discussion again? Since everybody is swimming in free XGold since a) you get at least 100 a day when you log in and there's absolutely nothing worthwhile to spend them on I have a very hard time of seeing gifting as "paying" someone to do something. It's basically a free exchange. If some people like to RP as prostitutes/rent boys/escorts/strippers and their "clients" pay money or buy them a gift to make the fantasy more real than more power to them. I kinda like their dedication to the cause. This is a place to live out your fantasies. The last thing I need is the thought police barging in here too.

I ended up uninstalling the game, deleting the directory, deleting the registry files pointing to it AND recreating my firewall exceptions. Honestly for an erotic roleplaying game that's more of a bother than I'm prepared to go through. Especially if it's going to pop up with every bloody patch they release. Still, working again now. Huzzah...

GODDAMMIT. Now it's back. Patched to the latest version and now it's stuck eternally loading between the login and the character selection screen again. Deleting and recreating my firewall rules does not help. This is getting ridiculous guys...

English isn't my native language. I don't have any issues with people using other languages in world or local chat unless they really start spamming text. Live and let live I say.

I just couldn't chose the "destroy the reapers" ending because I couldn't bring myself to kill off the Geth. I know, my Femshep is a big slutty softie. (There isn't a playthrough where she didn't go from one partner in ME1 to another by the end of the story. That said, the romance choice in ME1 was sorely lacking. You could choose between cardboard cutout Kaidan, racist badass Ashley or brainy blue sexpot Liara. Urgh...) I wouldn't say ME3 was bad. In fact, with the Krogan and Geth-Quarian storylines coming to a close I would say it's up there with ME2 until that abomination of an ending. People complained about the ending of Deus Ex: Human Revolution being nothing more than pushing three buttons but this wasn't any better. Such a downer ending to a great series. I'm actually only just now playing Dragon Age Origins with a female elf male. I gotta say that game kicks my ass SO HARD.

ME 2 was my favorite part of the series. Everything just fit together so nicely and the choices you made mattered in the end. I'd say the Quarians and their whole history with the Geth are my favorite story of the series. Very much like a Greek Tragedy about hybris, downfall and redemption. It's a toss-up between Garrus and Wrex. ON my third playthrough my Shepard fell in love with Garrus and DAMN if that isn't the best-written romance arc of the series I don't know. Mass Effect 2 without a doubt, although I liked 3 up until that ending too, to be honest. I chose the path where Shepard became part of the Reapers, sacrificing her so the others could live.

I had the bug too, by the way. And it annoyed the hell out of me. I went into the registry to set it to completen but I don't think users should be spending their time changing values in regedit.

I play both as myself AND role-play with another character. That character tends to change every once in a while. I usually create them to do some deep RP and delete them when the story I am playing has run its course. To me, that's the great thing about 3dxchat, people can express themselves how they want. Hi Amanda, I had the same problem on my laptop. In my case, it worked again after changing my Windows Firewall setting. I open incoming and outgoing traffic to 3dxchat and opened the ports mentioned in the proxy server thread as well. After that, everything worked well again.

Found it, forgot to add one of the ports to the firewall exception. Back in the game!

Apart from Microsoft Security Essentials not really. I'll check with NetLimiter once I'm back from my travels.

Deleted Emptied config Reinstalled Configured firewall as described 275 didn't help. It must be a local config file that 3xchat uses to manage its connection. If I want to run 3dxchat on my main machine, it just keeps showing the "connecting" window with the purple circle forever. On my crappy laptop it connects fine on the same network. Please help guys I want to keep playing 3dx on my main machine.

I usually run with full admin rights (dumb I know, but I'm running 3dx on a Windows partition on my MacBook)

Followed the usual procedure of deleting everything from Sexgamedevil in the registry, removing and reinstalling the game. Still no luck... Damn.

Hi there, I just patched 3dxchat and now it no longer starts up correctly. I can start the game and then enter my user name and password but after that it never boots to the character select screen and it stays stuck on the loading screen. Anyone have the same experience? Any ideas on how I can fix this? It worked fine up till an hour ago...

I lurve all of you people, even the ones I haven't met. Unfortunately, a lot of the people I really like aren't on anymore: Flygirl, Troela, I miss you girls.

Won-der-ful. Just what I always wanted. Now some asshole/bitch that I don't want to engage with anymore can't simply create an alt and try to slime his/her way into my circle of friends again. This will make 3dx a lot less stressful and a lot more enjoyable.

It would be great if 3dx had a small community of user designers that offer clothes and furniture beyond the standard offerings. I realise this may not be easy because it's basically just Lisa and Gizmo running the show and they would need to check that the user content isn't breaking things, but I would be all over this. It would FINALLY give me a reason to actually bother with buying extra coins.

Just being able to kick people would be great for semi-public rooms.
