Jade Kali
I notice when I use Firefox as my browser for my radio stream I never lag and I had a full room yesterday. Whenever I use my default browser (Avast Secure)....I lag a half to sometimes a full song behind what everyone else is listening to in the room. Is this a common issue?.....or just me? Leeloo
If i remember, avast browser constantly check for virusses and it takes some bandwidth. maybe it comes from that. ☙𝔼𝕩❧
AtticusFinch
I had the issue when using the McAfee web advisor plugin and like you found Firefox to be a better, more responsive browser. Even for viewing local apps like my sound module’s mixing desk it’s not as laggy as others, saying that I’ve only used the plug-in with edge and chrome (yeah, yeah not the best but I use them to compare and test security stuff ) It’s odds on everything passing through the avast browser is being analysed for bad stuff via a cloud based database, which can slow down traffic. Could be a simple case of adding your streaming url as an exclusion or trusted site so it’s not hammered with scan requests. If you try that, let us know the outcome Edited December 24, 2020 by AtticusFinch
