An option to him/her to go on her tiptoes

I think that definition has not changed with the times. We have MMO games, etc. Of course there are goals that align with the original definition. However, it still has that social experiment aspect to it. So does every other social platform. In 3DX, before I joined, I googled it. I wanted opinions. There was one good review where someone talks about the game of getting laid. You land, create an avatar, explore the world and BS in order to achieve the goal of getting laid. You have others, the competition who may have the same target. So in that you have, a competitive activity involving two or more people. The skill is flirting and later other skills come into play, wink wink. There are inherent rules, such as respect, no taking it without consent, no harassing, etc. At the end of the night the person gets lucky or the other guy does. It is a game that was intended as one for adults to jack off to. It became more but the creators only see it as a game with sexual benefits. It offers no challenge outside of getting laid. It offers no reward outside of getting laid, see what I mean? It is an environment created for a distinct purpose. How the user reacts and thrives has no bearing on the environment because it is what it is, created for that same distinct purpose. G However, I do see social experiment aspects. In fact, there are a few things that I have seen that would make a good case for character studies that could possibly garner a good grade for thesis.

Well, to me it is a game.
However, the first option is a bit too sarcastic to me. In every online game you deal with real people that can get hurt.
3dxchat is a game and it is obvious. Otherwise, we would only be on this forum instead of creating avatars, there would be a chatbox and it would have been the same. Now because it is a game doesn't mean you can't create friendships or more, but let's face it. We are playing when we log. We sometimes answer things we would not in real life. We dance the way we don't know how in real life. (Well, my character does not really dance that much but...)
 
So, to summarise, i pick the third option. But as long as the first one is valid, then it is a game. That's what games are. Maybe not all of them, alright. But it's not because you can't kill ennemies that 3dxchat isn't one.

I chose "No it's not a game. It's more like a social platform that can extend real life or create a new parallel life (like and adult version of Narnia?) , without borders, and real life limitations. It's a social platform for adults. Not game."
 
because it's the only option that states that this is a game for adults
 
However I mostly believe that this is a little bit of both. We all signed up for this game because we saw a great "jerk-off" visual enhancement (admit it, don't go around it lol), but in our time here we all experience many more things which are very thoroughly explained in the above comments.

3DXChat is, for me, an adult social game.

I'm not invent a RP in this world, it's me but not realy the same "me" that in real life.

I have social interaction with my friends, here, but it's not like social network (Facebook, ...): there are not irl links, it's just for fun.

And i don't forget the main rule of this virtual world: everthing is wrong
The only thing that i'm sure: there are a really people behind his keyboard.
But I can't know who is he: a man? a woman? a teen? an old person ?

It is like a book: caracters is not real but the writter is real.
This world is like a big book with lot of writter who write differents stories, maybe inspire of real life, maybe not.

So this has been a repeated discussion between friends, couples, lovers and I am pretty sure that you also had that question addressed before. Well if not then here it is.
 
This poll will offer three answers but you can add your own as well. I am curious what you think of 3DXChat, how you look at it.
 
Some says it's a game. Just for fun. Nothing there to take it seriously. Just a game, no one can get really hurt.
 
Others state that it is definitely not a game. Real people interact with each other with real thoughts, real emotions.
 
I have my own opinion but first I want to see what you all have to say. You will certainly see my vote
 
So, let's have it.

I voted other but was voting from my phone which is a PITA. Anyway, it is a sex game with a social aspect. Like anything else when dealing with people virtually, you need to realize that you are dealing with a human on the other end. Just like anything else, you have to protect yourself because it is a game. There is no real way to gauge if you are being lied to. You cannot read their body language or expression. It is a game that allows for the act of playing out fantasies.  You adapt to the environment as it changes but the environment does not change from what it is. It is like the weather in that way. You expect the seasons to come as they come. You adapt to the change. You wear a winter coat, you wear a tank and shorts. You are protecting yourself. The seasons haven't changed but you know how to respond to them. You know how to prepare for them for your best interests. Now, you could shovel snow in your shorts as my friend does but he has thicker skin than most. He is hot when many are very cold. So he can shovel snow in shorts and a sweatshirt. I would never try it though. lol. Anyway, it is not something to base your real life off of nor to become so engaged in that you check out of real. I chose others because the choices didn't fit how I felt.
