Fairly decent guide for newbies.  I agree with the majority of it.  F-list is a good tool as well... It doesn't give too much information away about your character, but does give enough information to know whether or not your character would be compatible with theirs.  I already posted on the other character Bio/list that's posted on this forum so I won't go into that one.
 
Here's my little bit to extrapolate on it.
Roleplaying is most simply put as a writing a novel together as a group to detail actions/setting, write the story, and act it out as you go along.  Books can be First, Second, or Third person and the style is different from one writer to the next. So what you're essentially doing is blending the styles of multiple writers together into one story.  You may not always agree on what should come next but everyone should want to further the story arc twoards the logical next step.  This applies to short term or long term roleplaying sessions equally.
 
You can also look at as getting a group together to write the script for a movie while acting it out at the same time.  It's not too hard to do as long as the people you're doing it with are concious of the fact that you may not be the best writer or have a vastly differing style than they do.  Don't be afraid to ask out of character if something confuses you or if something doesn't seem right with their previous action.  It's a friendly sort of pastime and a everyone makes mistakes now and again.  Don't be afraid to go roleplay with someone and suck at it because the only way to get better at it is through practice.  Just like with anything else you'll do in your life.

Each one got something special and requires special approach.

 

I'm interested in, maybe not big, but sexual-oriented plots and scenes. Yes, I need sexual roleplay. Of course, it's shouldn't consists from only sex, but, just imagine the erotic serial, and then you'll find out what I want. I need a depraved man with good writing manner, descriptive, and with fantasy. The one who can make interesting and exciting posts, who doesn't asks 150 questions about something but makes an action!

Everyone realizes 50 to 80 percent of the clothes you are posting here already exists in game right?
We already have a thread for pics of hot men and women, so why are you posting them here instead of here?
If you guys just spam this topic with pictures of hot women and men, the devs will not look at this topic anymore, because guess what? Nobody likes spam.
The other reason they wont look at this topic is because as stated, a lot of the things you are requestiong about ALREADY FUCKING EXISTS in game -.-
Seriously, why would you request clothes that already exists?

In the beginning, it was only just a virutal sexgame and catburglar had it written for me to read in her profile, 'that one meets lots of ppl @ 3DX, but still u have to weed out the good, the bad, and the ones playing stupid!'. Of course, all of that depending on what one is looking for in here or not! But what the hell your ever looking for in here or not, playing with someones heart at any cost, just fuckn simply shows, that there is nothing at all in yours! And as one keeps playn the game longer, the more and more interesting, good and awesome nice ppl can be found, like here in the forum and if your lucky, one also meets some real angels here, that helped atleast me, in "darker chapters" of my char, in my rlive and are also to find beside and outside of the game! Just like other ppl in ones rlive, that one should treasure and be grateful for, and i am! Just like for all the good n deeper friends i met in here and a little tiny few of them, also sneeked as good friends into my heart and rlv.1.0. Without of all you mentioned above here @ 3DX,  i guess i wouldnt have been playing here all that time for so long in any case!
